Brian Smith I live in TN and I work with Miljenko Matijevic who is the vocalist for Steelheart as well as the vocalist in the movie Rock Star for all Mark Wahlberg's vocals. Mili is also my best friend. When I found this I HAD to contact Jean, he has incredible talent. Now I am trying to get Steelheart and Jean with his band on tour together... do I hear sold out shows everywhere around the world? Hell Yeah I do!!!!! PS: I tracked this song against the original and yes I agree this is the only version I have heard covered or otherwise that nails it!

+Brian Smith I live in Clinton, TN just north of Knoxville,TN. Jean Ramos is f'n kick ass awesome! His voice is amazing and he is destined to be a huge national and international super star! He is currently the front man of "These Days" Bon Jovi Cover Band From Brazil. Jean does Jon better than Jon does Jon. As a matter of fact the entire band is amazingly talented. I give them as much press as possible and I am working hard as hell to get them to the USA. All they need is the right person to pick them up and run with them and they will be a household name. With all the talent they have if they did original songs and created a cool band name of there own they would sell out every show. I would love to do a tour with Steelheart and"These Days" what a fckn amazing team that would make, the fans would buy out the shows the day they went on sale no matter where they played. Vocalist like Jean only come around every two or three decades. I watch and listen to everything they do and they are already super stars in their own right.

Good to hear from other rockers around here. don't know about up there but down here it's all country and skynard. lol I have always had a hard time around here finding good musicians to play with. I got about the best rock bass player around these parts, and defiantly the best damn drummer I've ever heard any were. But we just can't find a singer around here that can do what we like. I'd like o find a guitar player to who was good enough to do duel solos with me and especially harmonies, I love'em. I only know one around here and he's already got a lot going on. Not trying to be Big headed just honest. I really don't have an ego. Guitarists are a dime a dozen but finding one who truly has it in there blood and soul is a challenge. But a singer is were most of my focus lies rite now. anyway nice talking to another true blood man. you get toughs guy to the states let me know. I'd love to go see them live.

This is hands down the best cover of "We All Die Young" Steel Dragon Rock Star Version (Miljenko Matijevic of Steelheart performed all of Mark Wahlberg's Vocals in the movie) Jean Ramos nails this song like nobody else except Miljenko himself! You will be hearing a lot more from Jean Ramos, this is just the tip of the iceberg on his talent. Listen and ENJOY!
This version is pretty sick !!!!! \m/ \m/ \m/ but have you heard a guy called Rob Lungdren singing this song ... He has a channel on RUclips you should definitely check his version out believe me it's worth a listen if not more ;) (Y)
Steven Shera I went and listened to several songs on Rob's channel and yes he is an amazing vocalist and entertainer for that matter. His voice is suited very well for Progressive Metal (my favorite genre when done right), he sings all the greats in that genre and he does it right. I am and have always been extremely unbiased in any review and or comments, its my job. I work with Miljenko as his right hand and if I think something sounds off I say it sounds off. Just so we agree Rob is talented, no doubt, however Jean Ramos STILL out performs this song. Like I said I work with Mili I have heard everything he sings and heard it a lot. When I came on this video I actually thought it was a hoax, it took me a few to realize it was not Mili. If Jean did not have a bit of a dialect it would have taken me longer if at all realized it was not Miljenko. We are talking Apples and Oranges here given Rob is basically a full on Metal and Prog Metal vocalist whereas Jean is able to stretch a little more. When Jean covers a song he nails it, he does not give it his own twist (he could but that is not the point in covering a song), Jean seems to completely transform into the place and time of the person who originally recorded the song. I am sure we are all going to be blown away when Jean begins to sing his own songs, or the band he is in begins to create original material as the entire band is just plain jaw dropping sick with talent. I am not dismissing Rob he definitely has pipes and is a blast to watch. I was very excited to listen to his Dream Theater covers but was not impressed. He has the voice but I do not hear the heart and emotion in his voice that would be expected in a song like "The Spirit Carries On" and his cover of "We All Die Young" just kind of fell in the floor, no heart & soul or emotion, he sang his rendition of the song. That is where the Apples and Oranges come in to play. Thanks for pointing me in his direction I did subscribe to his channel and will listen to his uploads.
