$12 to see Elvis is insane. To John’s point, I paid $1,000 per ticket to be at The Rolling Stones 50th at the Prudential Center in Newark for the Pay-per-view special. 😮💰😮💰
Thank you for share a Jamie and John... Just idea idea, perhaps in the future you could have Robert Foley as a quest as he is a expert on Elvis scarfs collecting . He also has his new book.
Interesting stuff. I'll have to look into buying the Elvis in Minnesota book when it becomes available. I was at the 4/30/77 concert. It was an above average show as far as 1977 goes. Also, Elvis was in pretty good shape both mentally and physically - again in the context of 1977. (Odd that the CBS special was only a couple months away and there he looked 20-30 pounds heavier. Then again that special was shot on video with the super bright lights that go along with that. Not a very flattering medium - at least in those days. Maybe they should have shot the special on film. Film can be a little more forgiving than video, but that's getting into the weeds as you guys would say... lol)
Very cool - thanks for sharing that! As for how Elvis looked in the CBS special, part of it is also just how atrocious of a job they did on Elvis's makeup! Like the last things anyone should do is exactly what they did, it's wild!
@@EAPSociety Good call on the make-up. RE: 4/30/77 concert... there's a fairly decent audience recording here on RUclips (as I'm sure you guys know🎓). Humorous bit of trivia - at one point he makes a joke about "What do you do when you have a runny nose in front of 10,000 people?" (Someone on stage hands him a tissue.) A couple seconds later he chuckles and says "no, no." What happened there was a lady in the audience was screaming for the tissue after he blew his nose. He chuckled, tossed the tissue in a waste basket. Anyway, when you hear "no", that's what that was about.🤔😄
Hi, Frankie! A few, actually, but it depends on what exactly you're after. Though some collectors left when we did because of the weather, so hard to say what's there today!
@ I was looking and I see some of the Colonel’s promotional bags with the advertisement of Elvis’ albums!!! So sought after. Ida grabbed them had I been there!!! Hope you and John had a blast!!! 💥
@@EAPSociety That would really be extra kool!!! I actually own one of the promotional items, or bags, that has the artwork of “Elvis Now” and it’s one of my “Holy Grails”, if you will, that came from Vegas. 😊👍 Would love to show you all some of my stuff one day!!! Take Care.

Very cool live segment guys!
Thank you! Yeah, we love things like this!
Was Robert Alaniz there??
Hi, Robbie! Nope, Bob was not there, sadly. If we're able to build things back up, maybe he will then! 😁
@EAPSociety Ok, Thanks Guys! Awesome Video!!!
@robbiedetroitstigermanviny8883 You're very welcome! And thank you!
Is that someone from EPE in the background looking at some acetates..?
It'd be a better place to get some from, I know that! 🤣
Hey Guys, Any Good booths down there with vinyl/CD’s?
