The stone spout (5:39 and 6:13) is a bathing area of the kings and queens. The stone platform in front of it (6:42) is where the kings and queens used to sit and meditate after bathing.

Hey Rohit once again I'm sorry to say you have gathered wrong informations. I would like to give few information Patan/Lalitpur
Patan is considered as the oldest among the three cities of Kathmandu valley you have already mentioned in your video. It is believed that Lalitpur was founded in 299 AD by King Veer Deva. Lalitpur(Patan) is a Sanskrit word which means “City of Beauty”. There are many ancient names for this city like Yala, Manigal and various stories behind the given names.
Bell: A big bell hanging between two stout pillars. This big bell is known as Taleju Bell and was placed by King Vishnu Malla in 1736. During the ancient period, common citizens could ring the bell to alert the king to their grievances.
    Krishna Mandir:
This octagonal-shaped Krishna Mandir is a famous and important temple of Patan. This temple was built by King Siddinarsingh Malla in 1637. It is believed that this temple is made up of a single stone and there are 21 golden pinnacles on the top of this temple.
Sundari Chowk: (the one you were saying prayer place)
This is the smallest courtyard and the first one to reach while entering the durbar square from the southern side (Ticket counter). This courtyard was built in 1647 during the reign of King Siddhi Narsingha Malla. In front of the entrance are 3 idols of Hanuman, Narsingha, and Ganesh. Inside this Sundari Chowk is a professionally carved sunken water tank known as Tusha Hiti or Tap.
In this way each and every place have its own story, even the Hiti have uniquely engineered because of earthquake in many places the water is stopped to flow otherwise from the Hiti you get water 24/7.

@rohitbhalla97 Guides always explain history the best. Otherwise they are just structures!!!

Bro you are explaning everything wrong. You should rather pick a guide. Guide is not scam. How can you understand history yourself without anyone to explain? This is why you are speculating it knowing only little about it.

I agree with you, it's totally dependent on people they wanna hire guide or not. With guide and without guide vast differences if you are visiting for the first time.

You said that there are lots of scammer in Patan Durbar Square, but let me tell you I'm a local person of Lalitpur area and i want you to stop spreading wrong information. There are no any scammers here and people wont tell you or ask you for to hire guide but yeah ! You have to purchase entrance ticket in the main gate. There are many tourist polices all around to look after it. Nepal is fully safe from theft, crime, scammers, and you can get full hygienic food with beautiful hospitality.

Please avoid propaganda. Keep your assumptions to yourself. Tibetians or Bhutanese have nothing to do here. In fact, tibetians were made civilized by a Nepalese princess, who was married to then tibetian ruler. She took Buddhism and culinary art to tibet to transform them from nomads to civilized Buddhist.
