I cant imagine any plaintiff would have standing. If you arent using the pill you arent harmed by someone else using it, and if you are using it that was your own choice.
Let doctor's treat their patients and stay out of their way, Government. This applies to not just women but anyone that needs medicine to make their lives better. It's no one else's business.

And until about 23 weeks gestation the chances of surviving outside of the womb are pretty much zilch. Most terminations happen well before that. And sometimes even wanted pregnancies have to be terminated for medical reasons, such as fetal death or incomplete miscarriages.

ofc the FDA had authority to approve it, ofc the drug is safe, and ofc the FDA was correct in approving it.
what's more, even if the FDA approval was revoked, the drug would still be available. they couldn't actually ban its use, worst case scenario the FDA would simply give it emergency approval as it went through the approval process again.
it was a stupid lawsuit, the supreme court realized there was no way to keep the ban.

@@duncanreeves225 FDA and Board of medicine makes determinations for medications based on Science specifically because they focus on evidence based practices for the public good. The courts are supposed to determine law, not medicine practices. It appears you do not understand nuace or have the understanding of the differences of specialties and how the government and medicine has been structured specifically for the public safety and so they (and you) can have access to appropraite care.

Rejected not because the court supports easy access to the medication but because the plaintiffs here lacked standing. Kavanaugh explicitly says this decision is NOT about limiting the authority of regulators and legislatures. The next time around the decision could go the other way.

Specifically, the Conservative judges although not unintelligent, seem to have misjudged (pun intended) the reaction Dobbs was going to cause. It bodes ill for upcoming elections, based on Republican performance since. In order to finish the judicial coup, Trump must win. Otherwise, the other party will take actions to "fix" the court(s). PO more women, and the men who either love them, or are answerable to them? That will sink Trump for sure.

Alito and Thomas still need to be impeached and Roberts should retire since he's ceded control to Alito. Lacking standing has not stopped insane rulings from this corrupt court.

The Supreme Court doesn't make up laws, that's congress's job. Their job is to apply the constitution to cases brought before them.
They would have banned this drug, if the SCOTUS wasn't in the middle of scandals.

Even a liberal Supreme Court would have taken this case. The district court (aka the trial court) enjoined the FDA’s approval of mifepristone, effectively taking it off the market. The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals then heard the case and ruled that only some of the FDA’s approval decisions were unlawful, which still allowed mifepristone to be available but with more restrictions. If the Supreme Court hadn’t taken this case, those restrictions would remain in place.

The problem is that while plaintiff has no standing to challenge the FDA, congress does. Congress gave the FDA the power to make these decisions and congress can take that power away if the gop gain control. Vote Blue!
