I have a 12” non meat hook factory 47 bars that are about 39” from end to end and I have to scoot way up to make full loc turns. I was actually thinking about switching over to t-bars on my 21’ street glide. I didn’t want to buy the meat hook bars because I’ve heard that people were having problems with wires shorting out going around the corners inside the bar. But it sounds like they fixed that issue so probably going to go with that one you got. I like doing the slow speed stuff too and I was a part of one of Robert Simmons sessions up in Colorado Springs so I become the boss of my motorcycle. Love your channel and keep em coming Joe.

Appreciate that brother. I love my Factory 47 bars. They will probably be the only brand I’ll go with. The width is perfect for slow speed and haven’t had any issues with the wires. Appreciate you watching!

Have you had a chance to try your maneuvers on a stock 24 street glide? I'm wondering what your thoughts are on those stock bars. Thanks 😎

I haven’t. But I already know the bars would be uncomfortable because how low they sit. Now the stock bars on the 24’ RG aren’t terrible, but a touch too wide for me.

Great video Joe! I am looking for new bars. Looked at Folsom Prison too since R Simmons recommends them. I’ll probably go with Factory 47. Curious, how tall are you? I am 5’ 7” and I am trying to determine 10” or 12” as options.

I am 5’ 9”. Keep in mind if you have a road glide, 10” bars will be more like 12”. My 10” bars I had to roll back a bit so I could get them a little lower. I absolutely love them though!

I like those bars Cue talks about. The price makes me hesitant, but a custom bar sounds perfect as I can't find bars I like with the width (grip to grip) I want.
Not really a fan of meathooks on a touring bike even though I agree with you on the needed and required comfort of bars

I like the Wingz bars as well and I agree about the price. Mark asked me what dimensions I needed for the 10” bars, and he made them just how I like them. This is my 3rd set of Factory 47 bars and they definitely didn’t disappoint!

I have an 01 Deuce, withe stock drag bars, which are not comfortable after about 2 hours. Too low and have to lean forward. im debating 10 or 12 in apes or risers and t bars. I keep seeing people say slow speed driving in stop and go city traffic is little more difficult with apes and corner requires more out of the rider, but, i was thinking that might be the case with much taller bars like 14 and higher. Appearance wise the apes look better, i think. None of my friends have apes, so i cant ride and see how they feel/react. May be a roll the dice and see. Good video

@@Jaysonic3423 thank you very much. Apes are great for handling until you start getting above shoulder height. Once you’re stretching your arms above shoulder height, handling becomes more difficult. Appreciate you watching!

Chrome looks good but doesn’t match the blacked out aesthetic on the rest of the bike

T bars aren't adjustable.......I had to remove my backrest on WideGlide , shingles get your shot, now its hard to do u-turns , now I need to adjust handlebars, straight inline with forks probably good so T-bar would work, plus don't have anything in front of bars, its all on tank......but I'm not going to change bars when I can just adjust the stock bars

    • @JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures

Sometimes the stock bars work for some. I’ve always found them either too low even when adjusted or too wide. And you’re right about the T-bars!

You have the wrong t-bar set up if you went with a pull back riser like thrashin or kraus it would be way better you wouldnt have to lean so far forward.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t available yet. I would be interested in trying a set of the thrashin or kraus.
