The only solution to the floods in the Country is dredging the Nile. We have too many Islands that have formed over the years and are now displacing the water from the Nile to the land. The Nile is shallow as a result of the Islands and there appears to be blockage. The problem is not Lake Victoria or the dams being built by Uganda. We can argue about impacts of dredging but they don't surpass the suffering of the people and lack of development due to the floods. Building dykes is not sustainable! Let's dredge the Nile and get off some of the Islands, not all Islands obviously!
