My Mom took me to see my dream come true David Cassidy in Salt Lake City Utah at the Salt Palace May of 1972. I collected posters, watched The Partridge Family, listened to endless hours of his records. David gave a sad little girl something to look forward to at a very dark time in my life. He gave me back my smile. I always checked to make sure my hero was safe and happy. 2012. David Cassidy inspired me to rescue a retired Throubred racehorse from slaughter. 17 hands of muscle. I was shocked to see Secretariat in his blood line. David's favorite racehorse. My heart will always feel this loss of someone so close in heart but so far away. I never even met him. David lives on through his amazing talent and because of people sharing his music and their own stories.

Look at his songwriting history and listen to his self penned songs and you will learn to love them as much as we who are his fans do.
Yeah, I love this song. Too bad I never heard it till he passed away. I showed this to my husband and he really liked it, he never took David Cassidy seriously as a vocalist till he passed away. Makes me kind of sad he was dismissed by a lot of men. David just wanted to be appreciated for his talent, unfortunately he did not achieve the respect of a lot of his peers in the industry.

I bought the David Cassidy hit single How Can I be Sure in 1972, however I must admit the B Side Ricky’s Tune appealed to me much more. I think a lot of credit was due to David for this self composed track, it showed he deserved credit as a song writer. 😄

Its so hard to believe David passed away I lived for the partridge family shows growing up in the toughest and roughest of cities I used too feel like such an odd ball cause I enjoyed shows my black families and black relatives and friends were not into , I loved Mary Tyler Moore show the Carol Burnett show , the Partridge Family , the Brady bunch , the facts of life, so on and so forth.
