Over the years I have visited around the Amish communities in Ohio 3 times and loved it each time . Me and my now ex-wife spent several days there in one community on our honeymoon . And they are such great people to be around and spend time with . I grew up on a farm in Eastern Kentucky, working horses and mules and loved it, so in that way I can relate to the Amish people . And I am 58 yrs old and still live on the farm that I grew up on . And I love living out in the country and enjoying the simple things in life . 🤗👍💫
When I was driving tour bus in Michigan I have had the privilege to drive a couple groups to different places. They are very interesting, fun people. One group played harmonicas and others would sing. They made a long trip fun. God Bless them.
My grandmother said they used to gave what they called a "work frolic". I would bring people together to work on a project and try to make games to make the work more fun.
What you say is right...however, humbly, ... would submit that each of us could easily adopt a bit of the AMISH in us and then hope for a BETTER WORLD...Amen.
I know and are friends with the Amish families here in Michigan they are great people ! It broke my heart when I heard about the school incident those children didn't deserve that ! All the Amish want is to live peaceably and live their life ! God bless them all ❤.
One day, on my way home from work, I saw an Amish buggy broke down by the side of the road. The wheel had broken off at the axel. I stopped and spoke with an Amish lady, who was alone. She told me her farm was down the road and asked if I would go there and get her husband to help. I told her I would, drove down the road to the farm, knocked on the door of the house and a man appeared at the door. He was the local Amish leader (Bishop?). I told him what happened, he and I went to his barn, got a spare buggy wheel and put in the back of my truck. We went back to where his wife was. We had a nice conversation. We worked together, replacing that broken buggy wheel. When we were done, he thanked me and shook my hand.

With me it was the other way around. In 2009 i was driving at 12:30am from a friend's house in a snowstorm and I lost control of my car and drove into a snowbank and it happened right in front of an Amish person's farm. I guess he heard me trying to get out and came out to me but my car was stuck really badly so he invited me into their house, he woke up his wife and told her to make me something to eat and get an extra bed ready because I will be spending the night. I was just blown away by their hospitality and how nice they were towards me, i was a complete stranger to them and yet they treated me like family. In the morning he told his kids to go to the neighbors and tell them to bring their horses, all together it took 10 horses to pull my car out of the snowbank. As i was about to leave, his wife brought me 4 sandwiches for the road a huge brick of home made cheese and 12 fresh eggs from their chickens to take home. I wanted to give them $50 dollars for their troubles but he said it would be a sin for them to accept money for helping someone in need, he just told me that i can repay it by helping someone else in need and ever since that day i always pull over if i see someone stranded on the side of the road and help them with whatever i can. Amish are amazing people.

One Amish article : the men of the community had to move a barn because the river naturally changed course, do they got together & picked up the frame of the barn & moved the barn some distance from the river, it was said they [each man] only carried 8 pounds as they worked together ❤ one way to heaven on this earth. Such a sane and loving way to live together on the planet. A lesson which sadly, we will not learn, as we ever more rapidly destroy the earth that has sustained us for countless lifetimes.
God, family, community and farm land, …to me, this life is close to heaven. Labor intensive, but it keep men from trouble and sin. It’s God’s intention in the garden of Eden when sin was seeded in men. Hard work in a way is the best natural life to preserve our purity to God. Thank to their wisdom and loyalty, they certainly preserve this land by not emitting pollution to our world.
Jesus Christ gave a commission and with all respect but it was not to stay away from people; people's lives change when they hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The commission was to go out and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. To Seclude would mean perhaps the Gospel is not known.
God is a relational God.. He loves people that's why He so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life.
I went on an Amish tour in Lancaster over 10yrs ago. It was so interesting. In the 70s I saw it as- all rural. I was a teen on vacation and saw it as the 70s. Now in 2000s I went back and saw a highway of 20 chain stores/eateries and such an overtake of development. Route 30! Wow so commercialized! Sad we took over their land with such a shopping frenzy. I have mad respect for these hard working people. The tour I saw showed us a laundry room. They buy soap and no longer hand sew the white shirts men wear, they buy some certain items from Walmart now, the tour guide said. There is only 1 company in USA that make their battery powered washing machines (though this video says -air powered) other companies have shut down but 1 still provides them. I also saw a kitchen and bedroom with the clothes on hangers, so interesting! I saw the Amish newspaper announcing their shutdown.. over 10yrs ago this was! How they old school communicated... "Earl is sick, crops are moist by God's rain" Things like that. I was saddened they lost contact thru each other. The newspaper for Ohio and Pennsylvania was shutting down. SAD! Love the Amish! Thank and you for this video!
This is a great video of the Amish way of life . I know that they have their problems in their lives, just like other commitments of people have . But it seems that they deal with it better than we do, by keeping with their simpler way of life and they are hard workers and work together helping each other out . I have saw in the comments about people trying to say that they are a cult and that they shun people . Well they have to have some kind of law and order and leaders within the community and group of people to keep their lives organized . I find them to be great people well organized, honest and generous and very hard workers and they don't try to mess with our lives and cause us problems . They do a lot of stuff to help in our world, by the work that they do, the crops that they grow and the products that they produce and the wood and furniture things that they make, top quality stuff . So thanks for the video . 🤗👍💫
I have always have had an interest in the Amish. They are had working with strong family values. I leave in South Western Ontario. It's so sweet when traveling on a side road and the children stop and with a big smile and wave at you. I have a speciality and interest in Special Education (children refuse to do assigned school work, school refusals, outbursts at school, communication difficulties, yelling, inappropriate language, misuse of material, medical concerns ,physical aggression, self harm etc.) I wish there was a way that I could provide consulting to assist with concerns and/or other concerns as described above.
Wow, I have so much respect for their way of life and sense of community. They seem to be very disciplined, honest, hard-working, law-abiding, self-sufficient, peaceful, God fearing, close-knit that we should model after. I'm glad they allow some modern equipment, vocations/trades into their lives to make life easier, more comfortable, more efficient or productive vs interpreting it as a sin. By not allowing electricity or the use of cell phones, tv (etc) sometimes is actually a blessing in disguise in case of grids down or major power outage. Their children stay pure and wholesome vs being infected with drugs, alcohol, violent movies, negative peer pressure in public schools (etc). They do not seem greedy nor arrogant but very forgiving and minding their own business. I love the white bonnets on those ladies. It seems old-fashioned and conservative the life style they lead but over all, it seems like one that works in the long haul in many ways for them (voluntarily speaking).
I was thinking something similar. If we had a long term grid down scenario; they would thrive. I love that they work together as a community. People have become so isolated in our society; especially since COVID-19 lockdowns and distancing measures started.
@@merricat3025 I work with abused and neglected children for a living. Any isolated religious community is prone to cover up abuse, however I think there is more abuse and neglect in households in there general population where there is serious drug abuse and addiction.
@@jaye6568 yep. I think people tend to romanticize Amish life. I used to watch a show with people that left the Amish in transitioned into "English" you can tell that one of the guys in the show was sexually abused. He got emotional and asked to quit filming. It was really nice how they helped each other transition. Help them get driver's licenses and things like that. Just basic stuff to start out with. Eta they were talking about abuse in Amish community when he did this
My Grandparents were friends with an Amish family in Ny. As a boy, I became friends with 2 of thier sons. Got to spend whole weekends at thier farm. Bailing hay, and, playing freeze tag on the barn beams, barefoot. Lol. I value those summer days alot. Im 46 now and remain friends with Andy and Reuben. Theyve since moved to Michigan and have started families of thier own. Some of the kindest, sincere, and, most hard working people Ive ever met!
Thank you for letting us know more about you and yes we need to change our life style and live off the grid with no T. V. and no phones and be more living toward neighbors . God bless you all and send my hugs and prayers . ❤️🤗🙏
The day that the United States of America has collapsed only the Amish and the Mennonite and Many others who are off of the Grid and farming on their own will servive. But the American people who are not will starve. Because they don't know about Farming and being off of the electric grid. That's true.
I remember a trip out East we made , When we went into a Amish restaurant/store, there was a whole wall of books. I still remember doing a house tour, and I cleary remember my parents and me being shown the Dawdi Haus.
How can anyone not admire these beautiful God fearing souls the way of life they lead is wonderful am sure in fact I am certain these people are blessed by Jehovah God .
They don't have the true gospel (1 Corinthians 15:3-7, John 3:5-7, Acts 2:38). So how can they lead people to salvation in Christ? They have a lot of good scriptural principles but their doctrine is off in many areas such as their baptismal formula. They pour water over people for baptism, instead of immersing them as the word commands (Acts 2:38, Acts 8:37,Acts 10:46-48). They also have many man made tradition which they teach as doctrine (Matthew 15:9), and the fact that they believe God is a trinity (Deuteronomy 6:4,Isaiah 44:6,Isaiah 45:5).
They will tell you that it's god's will. Everything is god's will when they don't have an answer to what you just said. The amish here will let their pictures be taken. Every group is different
Well done, positive video with excellent footage and narration. Have never been disappointed with Vision Videos. Would like to have seen a bit more about the special relationship with God that the Amish have and how that relates to their daily life. But all in all, quite objective and very informative!!
My mom told me we have Amish in out family. I don’t know any of them but would be cool to see them . Amish has been something I have always been interested in. I don’t like the world we live in. I feel like an outsider my whole life .
38:60 When the grandparents attended small community public schools the mainstream lifestyle was much more similar to the Amish lifestyle - with respect to values, technology, and even dress. Mainstream culture has changed a lot in 3 generations.
Salvation is only through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me. If you don`t repent and believe in Jesus, no matter how good or clean living you may be, you won`t get to Heaven. Hell is full and getting fuller of "good" people
@@JW-gl4yp lol...Dimwit 😂 that was so funny. But seriously, they have faith in themselves for salvation. Faith in Jesus Christ for salvation and following the example of Jesus Christ in your life are two different things. The way that the Amish lived their life is beautiful and wonderful but it will not get them to Heaven because they are sinners nonetheless. The only way to heaven is by way of the Gospel the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ he paid the debt that we owe for our sins he literally went to the cross in your place in my place in their place he descended in to the heart of the Earth and three days later he rose from the grave to eternal life the only way that you can be saved is to admit you are a sinner deserving death in hell believing that Jesus Christ not only died on the cross but that he died on the cross for you so that you would not have to suffer the second death in hell and confessing him with your mouth believing in your heart on to righteousness this is how you are saved according to the scripture
I bless these people, that live together in harmony, and love our God,yes we all who love our God of creation, knows that one day we will walk together on that narrow road together.Jesus is Lord.
The Amnish people are the only people on myself have heard of that has retained the life of not following a toxic life to make humans question their worth. Myself love that they have not put money gathering as a priority or as identity for one to be perceived as more favored. Myself love that they keeping to feed from their agricultural fields. These people
Does anyone know how they charge their cell phones😬 ?? Amazing how they don’t want any attention drawn to themselves & therefore no photos allowed..... I also love how all children are expected to DO WORK around the house. And I don’t see any resistance and just expected, unlike in our culture where god forbid you ask them to get off their phones for an hour to help!
I remember that horrific attack on the school children. That man did evil things to some of the little girls as well as injured several and killed five. It was so horrible. The most awful evil against the most innocent on this earth.
Forgiveness does more for the one who forgives than for the one who is forgiven in that it releases the forgiver from any anxiety he might otherwise carry.
Watching and doing. Unfortunately today's children does not spend much time with their parents and family, there is no time to watch and do, all our days are filled with something quite different, like making money in a hurry. . In spite of clear weaknesses in the Amish communities, they show a lot of good ways to live as a family. Impressive in many ways, clearly they have got something to teach the outer world.
Thank you "Vision Video" for this enlightening programme on the Amish...Wishing them our very best... One point of critique, please: sometimes the background music was too loud and irritating and masking the commentary... Voice was great...Stay blessed...Amen.
They started out with the right ideas to be separate from the world but man made ordinances cannot supercede or be in conflict with the Bible. I've heard it more than once that studying the Bible too deeply can be dangerous from these communities. Not to dissimilar from the Pharisees during the time of Jesus. The people today in the modern world have no idea how lucky we are to have the Bible so readily available not just in our language whatever you choose but also in audio form which I take full advantage of. There are going to be lots of people in heaven from various denominations and communities. As long as they profess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh and was the son of God who died for our sins. Salvation is a gift of God and not of works lest anyone should bosst
I watched an Amish buggy tip over into a ditch with two children in the back of the wagon. I immediately stopped, got out of my car and asked what I could do to help him. The children were shaken and crying but ok. The horse was traumatized and he was trying to get calm him. I offered to put the children in my car to keep them warm but he said “we are fine”! He wasn’t happy I stopped. Suddenly a truck pulled up with a male driver got out, and he accepted his help. Hmmm! I respect what the Amish stand for and am fascinated with them, but I can’t help but believe that woman are there to serve men!
SO NO CRT, HOMOSEXUALITY AND 100 pronouns with the acceptance of transgenderism being taught in their middle schools?! WOWWWWWW these parents are blessed! THANKS BE TO GOD!

God bless Amish...they live the life to the fullest without worldly corruption...
There is a lot that modern Society could adopt from the Amish to make this World a better place than it is.
I would call this a documentary, not a movie.
Unfortunately lots of abuse in Amish communities. They're also very abusive to animals.
@@merricat3025 I work with abused and neglected children for a living. Any isolated religious community is prone to cover up abuse, however I think there is more abuse and neglect in households in there general population where there is serious drug abuse and addiction.
@@merricat3025 Hm, sad to knơw. I guess we cannot have perfection in this world no matter where/how we live/live out our lives.
Eta they were talking about abuse in Amish community when he did this
My son went to college in Potsdam New York and when visiting I loved going to their farmers market on Sunday
I'm sure their students are well educated, and I have much respect for them.
Wonderful the Amish are truly God's people. Amen
Beautiful vidio,❤story about Amish,.❤
I love these Amish right here they live the more organic life real life for them
I don’t know what I’d do if it weren’t for the Amish grocery stores here in central Pennsylvania. They are always a financial blessing!❤
I think I would join the Amish if they were here in Australia. Sick of the fast past life here with such evil happening all around.
Where ignorance is a bliss , it is a folly to be wise. Great people with great culture & believe.
The true meaning of family and relationships. Of community holds a high priority. This is the way of the Lord.
Thank you for letting us know more about you and yes we need to change our life style and live off the grid with no T. V. and no phones and be more living toward neighbors . God bless you all and send my hugs and prayers . ❤️🤗🙏
horse and buggy 100% green burning energy.
Excellent! Thank you for sharing!! May God continue His blessings🙏
When the shit finally hits the fan and the power plug is pulled guess who ain't going to feel it to much?
The day that the United States of America has collapsed only the Amish and the Mennonite and Many others who are off of the Grid and farming on their own will servive. But the American people who are not will starve. Because they don't know about Farming and being off of the electric grid. That's true.
I remember a trip out East we made ,
When we went into a Amish restaurant/store, there was a whole wall of books.
I still remember doing a house tour, and I cleary remember my parents and me being shown the Dawdi Haus.
How can anyone not admire these beautiful God fearing souls the way of life they lead is wonderful am sure in fact I am certain these people are blessed by Jehovah God .
WHY THE AMISH WILL SURVIVE AND LED THE WORLD BACK TO GOD AND CHRIST AND SANITY .. 10/16/2021
That was wonderful. Thank you. 🙏🌷
Certainly informative. There is more than one way to heaven.
I always think how sad it would be to not have photographs of loved ones or friends. Imagine loosing a child and not even having a photo :(
They will tell you that it's god's will. Everything is god's will when they don't have an answer to what you just said. The amish here will let their pictures be taken. Every group is different
I really loved it and enjoyed it, I wish I lived there on the farm
Well done, positive video with excellent footage and narration. Have never been disappointed with Vision Videos.
Would like to have seen a bit more about the special relationship with God that the Amish have and how that relates to their daily life. But all in all, quite objective and very informative!!
Gerade weil sie nicht so viel über Gott labern, gefällt mir sehr! Ihr einfaches, friedvolles Leben ist doch Gottes würdig!

Everything is good when it's made by hand
I lived with a homage for year they are the very best people in this world
My mom told me we have Amish in out family. I don’t know any of them but would be cool to see them . Amish has been something I have always been interested in. I don’t like the world we live in. I feel like an outsider my whole life .
They are the first to admit they have issues within their community. We are all sinners.
so sad to end a nice documentary
but thats the way society is today
Wonderful show
38:60 When the grandparents attended small community public schools the mainstream lifestyle was much more similar to the Amish lifestyle - with respect to values, technology, and even dress. Mainstream culture has changed a lot in 3 generations.
Truly, ... one highway to heaven on Earth ... with family is closer to GODs ❤ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘
Simple Living. Excellent Video. 👍👍
At least they have each other. And they are great at woodworking, beautiful furniture.
Salvation is only through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me. If you don`t repent and believe in Jesus, no matter how good or clean living you may be, you won`t get to Heaven. Hell is full and getting fuller of "good" people
Very true.
AAAAAAAAAMEN!
I pray they receive the FREE GIFT of eternal by faith in Jesus Christ.
@@EternaLivesMatter they have faith in Jesus Christ you dimwit
@@EternaLivesMatter so you know nothing about the amish

Thank you for this awesome video.
Some of the nicest people you ever knew
I happened to be there in Hershey, Lancaster, when the sadly shooting occured in 2006. The Amish are nice people.
I bless these people, that live together in harmony, and love our God,yes we all who love our God of creation, knows that one day we will walk together on that narrow road together.Jesus is Lord.
Beautiful country side
See how amazing life is without buying a iPhone every year and being addicted to rubbish social media
Absolutely beautiful people and life
Wish i belonged to this beautiful society.
The Amnish people are the only people on myself have heard of that has retained the life of not following a toxic life to make humans question their worth.
Myself love that they have not put money gathering as a priority or as identity for one to be perceived as more favored.
Myself love that they keeping to feed from their agricultural fields. These people
Amazing video of an amazing people in an amazing way of life
Does anyone know how they charge their cell phones😬 ??
Amazing how they don’t want any attention drawn to themselves & therefore no photos allowed.....
I also love how all children are expected to DO WORK around the house. And I don’t see any resistance and just expected, unlike in our culture where god forbid you ask them to get off their phones for an hour to help!
Discipline is the word... parents today let the children rule!
A very beautiful family here
I remember that horrific attack on the school children. That man did evil things to some of the little girls as well as injured several and killed five. It was so horrible. The most awful evil against the most innocent on this earth.
I think of it often. Horrible. And the families have no photographs to remember them by, that is sad to me too.
I would love to see this one day love the Amish
I watched an Amish buggy tip over into a ditch with two children in the back of the wagon. I immediately stopped, got out of my car and asked what I could do to help him. The children were shaken and crying but ok. The horse was traumatized and he was trying to get calm him. I offered to put the children in my car to keep them warm but he said “we are fine”! He wasn’t happy I stopped. Suddenly a truck pulled up with a male driver got out, and he accepted his help. Hmmm! I respect what the Amish stand for and am fascinated with them, but I can’t help but believe that woman are there to serve men!
I like the way they live, looks to me like Esenios ,Bonita vida ,q EL SEÑOR los Bendiga.
JUST BEAUTIFUL
SO NO CRT, HOMOSEXUALITY AND 100 pronouns with the acceptance of transgenderism being taught in their middle schools?! WOWWWWWW these parents are blessed! THANKS BE TO GOD!
