    I'll always regret not having gone out and shook the mans hand. He was in our office once when I worked at Hubble. I love his statement about treaty verification satellites. When I was at Hubble, I had seen some of the Shuttle astronauts actually attend a science talk or two aside from the post Hubble service missions where we'd get to have a meet and greet with an entire crew.

      Damn boi, you fumbled the bag there. But shii you still worked at Hubble.. that's better than my resume of manual labor gigs.

The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back."

    If Dr. Sagan could see todays world he'd be livid. He'd be pleased with the Mars stuff, but whats going on with other countries is atrocious. Pres. Reagan once said 'wouldn't it be something to see how we'd all come together if there were a threat from out there....an extrarrestrial threat?'

    If you're a subscriber to this channel ... You may notice I've had no new uploads since March 2021. It's a long story, but I don't have access to the channel management features any more. I've been copying all the videos over to a new channel, called Space SPAN (Space Policy and News). If you want to subscribe to the new channel, which will have all of this channel's content plus anything new since March 2021, the link is:

    A comment by John Milton on this matter is “ Mars waste of money” and I thought about his comment. Between 1988 - 2020. If half the money spent on WARS, the military industrial complex, infiltration and destabilization processes (which even an absolutely certified idiot would concur that it’s unquestionably totally waste of money and lives) was spent on the MARS idea, what do you imagine the results could be?, supposing that NASA and all efforts were not politically enforced.

    Listening to this, its tough to not reminisce about the initial hope of the Hubble mission and then the crashing of those hopes when the mirror was found to be flawed. After the repairs of Hubble though, Hubble saved NASA's image plenty of times, when NASA had lost public interest a time or three. Remember, this talk was before internet. 29:50 the greenhouse data is about the only data I've ever seen that actually is convincing.

    The year is now 2020. We have just sent 2 new missions to Mars
    Globally, worldwide we are still denying global warming we have now gone over out tipping point. We are in the middle of a global viral pandemic, America has a moronic buffoon as President and Carl is gone. :( We desperately need more scientists of Carls calibre steering the global discourse now instead of hysterical religious folk and conspiracy theorists. I'll check back in in 2030 (if we're still here) to see how far we've come.

    The word manned is either used improperly or not used at all anymore all because some people have poor grammer and think manned or man means male only. How about just educating them instead of creating more division in humans/man.
    Manned just means crewed or staffed by one or more people, and the word man has two definitions the other definition means humans

    Yes, why should we protect and pay our respects to our planet, that's such a primitive idea, is it not? By the way, good luck moving billions of people to the moon... Wait, I can already see Donald Trump waving to us from above, on his way to the moon with other such fiends, with a smile all over his lips while we're undergoing immolation, writhing in woeful agony of pain.

    Mars waste of money

    • @MrAshtute
      @MrAshtute 5 лет назад +8

      It's only money wasted if its of no value... Now building nuclear bombs (so many that we could not only destroy this planet but every planet in our solar system with plenty to spare.. That's a WASTE of money)
      Missions to other planets would not be wasted money... The science developed in doing these things often ends up having huge money spinning advances in technology as well as scientific knowledge.
      And one day... Hopefully not for another 5 billion years or so.. This planet will be destroyed and mankind will be destroyed with it unless we have managed to move to other worlds.
      Now 5 billion years is a long time and none of us will be here... But the way we are abusing this planet we could just wipe ourselves out tomorrow... Or an asteroid could do to us what one did to the dinosaurs.
      Finally expanding the limits of what we can achieve will aid us hopefully to evolve into a better species although looking around me today I fear we are regressing back to where we have come from rather than evolving to be more than we are today..
