The International Teaching Assistant (ITA) Program offers training and support to nonnative English speakers who teach courses and undertake other instructional responsibilities at the University of Minnesota. The ITA program courses fulfill the University’s spoken English proficiency requirement for TA eligibility. The courses, which are open to all nonnative English speaking students, focus on the discipline-specific oral communication skills needed in teaching.
