Teaching is not easy and frankly, no one is prepared for it. But even though you did not have experience and your first instinct was to bring your friends for support tells me you are doing a better job than most TAs. Maybe you have a passion for it? As a TA myself, I strive to not fail anyone: if they cannot do the work properly means we are not empowering them properly. Ofc there is exceptions but iykyk.
