I met Oli and the band working as a Bartender in a restaurant. I had the privilege of talking with them over an hour before the concert, the restaurant was empty. Oli is an incredible human being. He invited me to the concert afterward. I will never forget that day. The only famous person I ever got pics with, and was his idea, really epic.
You’re so lucky man. Oliver is one of my heroes, when I had a fringe I apparently looked a lot like him so I always identified with him and the sorts. If I ever get to meet him the first thing I’d do is thank him because truthfully a lot of his and BMTH’s old and new stuff saved me from the brunt of very dark moments in my life throughout high school. From everything I’ve heard it seems Oliver is a very standup guy and it’s not a “never meet your heroes” sort of deal and given your experience he’s an awesome person. Thanks for sharing :) (P.S: Lee Malia is one of my guitar heroes as well that guy was a riff machine back then and still is.)

He definitely isn't tweaked. He has struggled with addiction for many years and you can absolutely tell when he's relapsed. He last relapsed during quarantine as far as I am aware.

I saw them open for Fall Out Boy, i was in the 200 sections of the stadium, he came into the crowd and ran right to my section, he hugged me so tight and i just said how amazing they were and that i loved them and their music, he said “i love you darling” and then started running again. Best day ever. every single day i hope they come back to America so i can see them again.
You know it has to make his security a nervous wreck when he does this 😂 i just love Oli so much. Not only is he unbelievably talented, but he genuinely loves his fans. Such a beautiful quality. Such a beautiful soul he has 🖤

Seeing Blue October on 10/10/23, he walked off the stage, came straight to me and gave me the biggest hug imaginable. It was so awesome.
I saw him when I was like 15 at a very tiny venue opening for Thursday and the difference between then and now is truly so wonderful to see. Glad he cleaned up, he seems so happy.
I went to his concert two weeks ago (with fallout boy). He was walking through the venue and making his way to the lawn (where I was). I ended up running forward with a crowd to meet him where he was walking. Turns out he ended up walking right over where my blanket was on the lawn! Had I stayed put, I may have gotten a hug or handshake or something lol. I still got pretty close (10 feet or so), but not close enough to touch him. Sigh

I weigh 42kg, 1.56m high, and am generally the tiny, weak pup of the litter that somehow didn't die during childhood. I would love to see this concert and be that close to the stage, but I have a feeling that I'd fall at the first crowd motion, get stumped on and die without anyone noticing.
