    Nick is a good man to befriend. Shifting that much gravel with the mini is mind boggling. If you order gravel again ask if they have a drive who can drop and spread by driving slowly along the area. Its a skill but nit that hard to master.

      Using the mini is making it more difficult. Lay out the gravel and roll it with the skid steer then use the mini to cleanup edges. The mini is just too slow for spreading.

    • @dotcassilles1488
      @dotcassilles1488 Год назад +14

      Winter is coming... If it gets a bit soggy the driveway could turn into mud, limiting access to the chateau and making it difficult to get the building supplies and basic necessary shopping inside the grounds. The gravel needs time to settle down, compact a bit before it snows. Best to do gravel works before you need it (and before the ground is either soggy or frozen).
      I think it would be expensive to get a tow truck to get you out if you got bogged in the driveway, plus the cost and amount of the gravel that you need to cover the driveway and parking might increase, if the ground is soggy it takes a deeper layer to make a firm layer of gravel that is safe to drive on.
      Blessings, Dot

    Priorities are of such importance! It seams to me getting the supports you took off back on, would be one.
    Getting the walls repointed and repaired, would be two. These small sections in a day can not move this project along fast enough to get the roof on.

    I'm surprised the trucks didn't lay the gravel out for you, some of those guys can lay a bed of gravel by tipping the bucket and driving forward slowly to give a nice even spread, but then trees and overhead stuff can cause problems.
