I love that slicer, technically a block cheese slicer, but ine used it for butter too. These dishes look scrumptious.
Maybe funeral potatoes are because the church ladies serve after a funeral service.
I believe they are called funeral potatoes because this is dish frequently taken to the funeral home for the family to eat after the services in the south we take food to the funeral home all the time so the family can have a meal together afterwards and spend some time together remembering their lost loved one.
I love green bean casserole, I dont want to change it.

You being from Mississippi surprises me that you don't know what funeral dishes are and reasons for their names. What do we do in the South when there's a death in the family? We cook and take to family so family doesn't have to worry about food to feed everyone that comes for services. They are comfort foods that feed a lot of people and can be frozen if not all needed. Just a comfort dish to show/let people know you're thinking about them and what they're going through and don't have to worry about feeding/cooking for extra people. Just another way to show love. Also we take paper goods, plastic utensils, paper towels, plates, bread/rolls, coffee/tea. You know, just to feed and help the family.

The husband has hair that reminds me of a rooster comb. If you have a long skinny face big hair might not be a good idea.

I would actually like to see Kyle make oatmeal. Everyone says it’s good, but it still remains a mystery to me. I think it might be time I learned. If he doesn’t make the video soon, hopefully someone else will.
Yuck. I’m from Minnesota so we love a good casserole…but this is toooooooo much. There’s absolutely no reason to have THAT MUCH fat in one dish. I bet that it probably tastes good but no. Yikes.
