I have had my rocket cellini evoluxione with 1 boiler fir 10 years and I've been brewing my coffee and steaming my milk simultaneously without any issue.
The Rocket Espresso R58 Cinquantotto is one of our dream machines. It's expensive but probably the last machine you'll need to buy. If you are looking for something with pressure profiling you'll probably need to look outside of the E61 style group head for best results. www.seattlecoffeegear.com/products/rocket-espresso-r58-cinquantotto-espresso-machine
Great video, well shot and well explained! I will say that I think you’re a little off on the electrical portion. You said 2100 amps, I think you meant 2100 watts. Amps are not a measurement of power and most homes only have 100 amps.
I wish you would have done the “finger pointing” close-up clip on the heat exchanger/Giotto. It wasn’t clear to me where the steam heater was versus the brewing chamber.
Does a boiler have to be descaled, like a thermoblock ? I have heard that boliers like those used in sage oracle doesn't need to be descaled. Is it true ?
Don't know where you heard that, but it's definitely wrong. Boilers need to be descaled, and the process is generally a lot more work than with a thermoblock.
This is a tricky question with a complex answer. One, we don't recommend descaling your machine unless your machine has a descale prompt (like Breville for example). Two, it's really important to consider water quality to help prevent needing to get your machine descaled. Three, if your machine does not have a descale prompt, we recommend having the machine descaled professionally as the acids used can be just as corrosive as scale and it's best that a professional handle it to protect your machine. We have 2 videos on short term maintenance and long term maintenance that dive into this more! long term tips: ruclips.net/video/VA8uAnSvPDk/видео.html short term tips: ruclips.net/video/eS6vUC6tso4/видео.html
Hi Sean, thank you for the great insight! You really are a coffee expert. 🤩I am working on a new heating element for coffee machines and would love to run it by you and get your input about it. How can I contact you best?
The E61 is a horrible experience, too many parts, hard to heat up. A heat exchanger makes horrible espresso. No way to set temp for espresso. It's all a guess, flush and when? back to back espresso take forever to heat up and reheat for the next shot.. My Lucca A53 (La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi) makes fast, accurate (dual boiler) temperature espresso and super fast back to back Lattes! All with programmed 1 & 2 shot drinks. Nothing compares to this for the money! No experience with Thermoblock, but there is something for everybody!
Very informative! Thank you for taking the time to make this.
There is one machine name gemilai crm 3145 had 1 boiler and heating block, hope someday seatle coffee will review this type of machine

What would you recommend for a dual boiler that is an E61 style group? The only benefit for me would be adding flow control down the line

the thermoblock can be malfuntion or heat less temprature my philips espresso machine heats up to 65 degrees instead of 90
Love this!
Super interesting topic to us. Thanks for watching!
Ascaso have aluminimu thermoblock ?
My R58 I can pull a shot in 12 minutes. Consistent temperature!!
The cost of providing 2100 AMPS of current (@4:11) seems a bit excessive…let’s see 10 200amp household panels… naw needs more…
Fair comment! We meant watts instead of amps
Interesting!
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching ☕️

I'll bet you didn't really mean 2100 amps.
You're right! We meant watts😆
