i would have basted it a few times with some herbs and seasoning and put a catch tray under it for all the juices, that mess you left in the airfryer is the best tasting part of the chicken just going to waste.
The juices from the tray went in my gravy. I don’t season chicken as my son is autistic and won’t touch chicken if it’s anything but plain. Otherwise I agree with you. I always used to make a garlic and rosemary butter to put under the skin. I miss the days of flavoured chicken 😢
l gave up on using the rotisserie after spatch cocking, a chook. same setting and time i just flipped it halfway through, less hassle and the chicken came out better, crispy skin and juicy breasts
I must admit I’ve only used the rotisserie a handful of times. It really is so much quicker to just spatch cock a chicken and airfry that way. It’s nice to have the option though. I keep meaning to purchase some attachments to try different things using the rotisserie spit. I believe there is a chip basket and kebab skewer attachment.
on temu for under $10 i bought one of those digital thermometers you insert in the food while cooking, that has been helpful whilst i get to know the oven, because the presets are way off on some things i cook
I have found with my other air fryer, the versazone, that the machine has a cold spot. I always check as I had food poisoning as a child from undercooked chicken. Would not wish that on my children.
