For easier cleaning, cover the bottom tray with foil. Don't forget to tuck it under slightly otherwise the fan will blow it around. On the rotisserie I have also cooked pork loin with roasties underneath. Cook a small gammon joint on the rotisserie as well, score the skin in a diamond pattern, pat it completely dry, then roast,it makes the most perfect crackling. Made a Doner kebab on it too. Wrapped it in foil for the most part of cooking and then took the foil off for around 20 minutes. Just keep an eye on things and change both the timings and temperature.
Yes. I must try that since I have the same air fryer now. I do like that it has the rotisserie. I have to say everything I've cooked in it so far as turned out very nice. I used that drip tray mainly to cook food in, rather than the shelves. Move it to the centre of the oven and remove all of the shelves.
The chicken looks magnificent. If you don't put foil at the bottom, the easier way to clean it is to let the oven go cool, but not cold. Then it will be far easier to clean it, especially the bottom. Thank you for the video! Have a fabulous week!
That looks amazing. I have the same model and am now definitely going to have a go at cooking a chicken. I love crispy skin so hopefully mine will turn out just as good 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Looks ace Deano, it took longer faffing about with it than it did to cook it. I season my whole chicken, shove it in the air fryer breasts side down for 30 minutes, then turn it over for another 30 minutes. Far better in the air fryers than in the oven... great video mate
I said that you would like the Tower. So glad you do. Advice...Dont ever put oven cleaner in the Tower. I did and it marked all of the coating. Its still good but..best to just use fairy liquid and wipe inside while oven is still slightly warm.
This 5 in 1 oven type air fryer definitely looks a good choice. We have the Tower dual air fryer which was a brilliant investment. I rarely use the cooker anymore
Just a quick it the whole chicken setting was the one to use, the rotisserie function turns on, also you can turn the rotisserie on and off when you feel like it
My tower vortx 30 litre arrived, never used a rotisserie, this was so helpful will certainly give it a go. Someone mentioned gammon and porkloin, maybe for Christmas ☺️
Chicken looked fantastic. Great effort at trussing it up and fitting prongs and skewer. It's defo fiddly and you did it on camera. 👏 I just use string as well so appreciated the soaking tip. Manual says max weight of 1.3kg but I usually buy 1.4 -1.5kg. Takes a lot of trussing, cos if it touches the top mesh the skin well tear and it's really hard to clean.
Thanks a whole bunch. I am doing Thanksgiving here in Canada and we're just having a small chicken. And I have a chefman air fryer. It's a little bigger than yours and I was just wondering if I was going to either roasted in the oven or do a rotisserie. This video and how delicious that looks just with salt. I'm doing my chicken with a rotisserie. Thanks a lot! I was looking for a video and I came to your experience so thank you again
@@JustDeano yeah I got this bottle of oil dressing with Moroccan lemon in it. Can be used as a marinade that's what I'm doing. In my secondary air fryer I'm doing potatoes and stuff. LOL thought I would share
Nice 1 pal 👍 watched this earlier and thought I'll be having that later ....no chicken small enough at Tesco's 😒 so got a pork loin joint (800 grams) well did it on the roast rotisserie chicken setting (200c for 40mins) and it was lovely 74c inside so more than enough 😋 keep up the good work 👏
Looked a bit of a kerfuffle to me, think I'd pop the roasters under on drip tray, had a lovely colour to the chicken, crispy skin well cooked, when you were eating it saying small chicken I expected you to have polished it off lol.
I'm surprised you didn't devour more of that, Deano! Next time, do your spuds on the drip tray, soaking up those tasty juices. I don't envy you the clean up.
I think this may be the one for me mate. Had to get a refund for a Debenhams own brand air fryer oven, it was dented, the fan didn't work and smoke poured out the back (I did a couple of vids). Now I want a trusted brand. I'm not convinced Ninja have become better than old school kitchen names like Tower, Tefal, Swan etc in the short time they've been around, I want to get one from Argos rather than have one sent this time. Debenhams customer service was a nightmare.
Hi Deano, if you see this. I personally would not truss up the chicken. It leaves too many area, s of the bird uncooked. We are not going for a salmonella type of situation here.
We have had this every Sunday since we got the Air Fryer and its always been absolutely magnificent. Always cooked thoroughly everywhere. I'm always vigilant, cheers Tony
The advantage to the rotisserie is that the chicken's juices stay inside the chicken while it goes completely crispy on the outside. Your method will never recreate that.
@@johnkyle2877 I think it's about 'having a problem with it', it's just usually nicer on the rotisserie and it's 'set and forget' too. If the feature is there then it's worth using. He didn't need to cook it as long as he did - mine takes 40 mins for a small chicken so it's actually faster than cooking normally
I did a chicken, it was a disaster. But, if I had string then probably more successful.. I ended up burning forearms on drop down door. So put a tea towel, there guys. The rotating basket is good for the chips. Just need gloves to open the clip, and to empty
I use Nandos medium piri piri rub when i rotisserie a chicken in my Tefal. It's bloody handsome. The only thing that lets this air-fryer down is it's physical width, like you experienced, and the fact that the max weight on the spit is 1.2kg
Remember this motto for life....."in through the arsole, out through the neckole" (Vlad Dracul 1462) 🐔🍗🧛🦇👍 thanks for this vid. Ive just bought and was struggling coz I didnt read the instructions and am a ham fisted bloke....now roast chicken fisted😸
He got it wrong should be whole chicken setting & the ROTISSERIE is the round display at bottom next to the on off switch & it should be around 1,26kg chicken or it could destroy the revolving machine to much weight
I dont know about you but the drip tray is too shallow it can't hold all the drippings from one chicken I have to empty it 2 or 3 times and that's just a 4 lbs chicken what the wife and kids gonna eat 😅😊

Or quickly mix it in some mayonnaise a la Max Halley's sandwich shop😸

Do it, you will love it. I just wish the oven was slightly bigger but for the price it is amazing.
I got the Scoville one from Asda, it's exactly the same, great bit of kit.
I have the same model, managed to spit roast a small loin of pork today and get a few roast potatoes underneath, love this machine.😍

Thanks Deano. I tuned in to your video to see how to use the rotisserie!and it was brilliant I’ve now subscribed enjoyed watching take care.

That came out amazingly well
That looked fantastic Deano!! 2 quid odd for the chicken as well… what model Tower Air Fryer is that one Deano? ….Smithy
Love mine. I did roast chicken for the first time last night and it was gorgeous. I only bought it for the rotisserie part 😂
Great video, your descriptions, talk through and humer cracked me up, great work
Glad you enjoyed
Really good review! Well done dude you’ve made me make my mind up to get this fryer so thanks
i give a rating of your chicken 20 out of 20 very good looked so good thanks for your review deano
Rotisserie chicken is the best - crispy skin & moist meat.
I would imagine the clean up was well worth that delicious tasty chicken.
Job well done 👍
Where did you buy your airfryer oven from ?
That looks the best chicken ever.
Thank you very much for the video I didn't know how to set up everything but now I know
Can you tell me what size the trays are please? The chicken looks delicious 😋
Everything i needed in one video
I have this, nice job!
Is the rotisserie setting the kebab? 😊
I just got a different air fryer it has the rotisserie function so I will be trying this.
Looked a bit of a kerfuffle to me, think I'd pop the roasters under on drip tray, had a lovely colour to the chicken, crispy skin well cooked, when you were eating it saying small chicken I expected you to have polished it off lol.
Ordered one today. Big up from Scotland 👍
this is actually how most big resturants cook there chicken only keep basting it
I have this air fryer. Leagues better than the B&M Blaupunct I bought for my first. So much easier to clean.
Brilliant, have to check our chicken not too big.
Good video.
I'm surprised you didn't devour more of that, Deano!
Next time, do your spuds on the drip tray, soaking up those tasty juices.
I don't envy you the clean up.
On them air fryers with rotisserie there isn't normally room for anything else on the bottom tray
I bet pork belly would be divine cooked this way 👌
How long does a chicken last in the freezer... as I put my chicken in last night and it was dead this morning 😅😅😅
I’ve got the same air fryer, I’ve never tasted chicken like it!
Excellent presentation, well done
Looks delicious chef!! 👨🍳😋
So good!
Looks really delicious
Was there much smoke when you opened the chamber door?
Just watched your video amazing cant wait to get myself one
Look nice deano
You never said to balance the chicken on the skewer. It is important to do this as a misaligned chicken can cause the rotisserie motor to fail.
Will it fit regular pizza?
Price of that was way cheaper than Iceland - their medium chicken is £5.50!!!
Can you cook Popcorn in the basket?
Try marinated pork steaks, it's available everywhere, the Mrs loves it,. Thumbs 👍 for you my friend.
Or belly pork 😯
nice video. would it fit an aldi pizza?
I've just ordered one....can't wait...HotWings all day...Ha !
Ohhh that looks good deano #top chef

Salivating 🤤
That looks delicious. Do a kabab next
That's banging m8 who gets the parsons nose ?
Looks well nice that Deano 👍😋Xxx
Skin chicken to avoid calories from fat. Soak string in salt-water if you care about burning string.
What a beautiful baked chicken, congratulations!! kudos to you air fryer.Bye.

It looks done the way you had to saw it
What's a jacksie?
Just got one
It’s a shame the machine isn’t bigger so you can do a LARGE chicken 😕
The chicken did look fantastic it did look like proper rotisserie (because it was) 😅 it’s just not big enough to do a chicken with any meat on it 😕😂
You could just cut out the rotisserie and cook it normally....180c breast down 25 mins....then breast side up same temp for 20 mins.
The advantage to the rotisserie is that the chicken's juices stay inside the chicken while it goes completely crispy on the outside. Your method will never recreate that.
@@TheBadElf Never had a problem wth that...olive oil seasoning etc, and cut 15 mins off the cook time!
Rotisserie is better and no doubt about it

2£50p for a whole chicken? In Norway its 7£ on sale
Looked banging that fella - reckon you could have squeezed a few roasties on the tray underneath too at a push !
DEANOOOOOO Chick Chick Chicken do a Chicken roast for me 🤣🤣
never waste the bottom, good for sanwhiches

Butchered 🤣
All these air fryer reviews are getting tediously boring who cares that's me unsubscribing I'm afraid
