Yes, absolutely! For the G7/B I like to keep it inside, like the mixolydian mode as you mentioned

Yes, this is the advanced strategies. You can get by with Pentatonics and outlining too. I always try to demonstrate the various options.

I would personally go Bb lydian on the third system (then go to Eb lydian) as Bb is the IV of F (the relative major of D) Great video!!
