I can never get over what is left behind. One of the contract companies that demolished a bank, the guy went in with a cut off wheel on a grinder and a sledge hammer and knocked open all the safety deposit boxes that had not been claimed. He found lots of jewelry and cash that he got to keep.
This abandoned supermarket is so epic. I just got done exploring it awhile ago. You two did a really good job filming here. Since your visit it got sealed up. when we went today we were lucky enough to get in. I look forward to your new video today. Take care you two and have a nice weekend.
Regarding the sanitizer… in the food industry, the sanitizer solution is the last step of the dishwashing process (for handwashing). It is to ensure that any leftover germ molecules are broken down. Completely food grade. In restaurants that have a commercial dishwasher, the high heat (up to 180°) is enough to sanitize. We use a solution with handwashing bc human hands wouldn’t be able to tolerate much more than 130° at most which is not hot enough to sanitize.
This is surreal in a whole new way for me compared to most urbex videos. I used to shop here regularly so I've got huge "the world you grew up in no longer exists" vibes looking at this like... oh wow this is how the world as I knew it has decayed. Welcome to the apocalypse kids
Its crazy how this closed in 2018 and it has been decaying since then because for me it's like a time capsule to going to the supermarket with my mom in the 2000s. Its frozen in time😮😮
warren harding high school was abandoned in 2018 and the condition is insane. it was used by the FD for training and also there was a fire there. could be similar kinda story here.
Most large buildings like this have at least some roof leaks. Walmarts and costcos etc, all have flat roofs so the water puddles in areas of depression. The roofs need regular sealing and maintenance to keep from leaking. Every large box stores i ever worked in had at least one leak.
I love your personalities. You do everything with good intentions and care. You both also have great hair, I have to say 😂God bless you and take care of yourselves.
y’all are amazing!!! u got me through a LOT and i can’t find the video but on the video u saw those glasses things in that one mansion of a jewish person they were eclipse glasses or glasses to see things similar!
I've been a line cook for 20 years. Sanitizer for the triple sink is good rade chemicals ie edible is not poisonous. It comes concentrated in a jug and is automatically diluted to a proper mixture when it goes into the proper sink compartment. You walked by the station where the ph test strips were kept that test the proper sanitizer mixture. If you don't have those strips, that's one of the things the health inspector can deduct points for.
Hi Zek and Mae, another great video! Love coming on these adventures with you both😊i agree with you about the price of groceries these days, you definitely get far less for more money, I won’t buy crisps (chips) anymore as you only get a small amount in the bag and the rest is air!!!! Already looking forward to seeing where you take us next,as always take care and greetings from England ❤👍🏻😊🔥👏🏻xx
Awesome Video Guys, but it makes You wonder what they did with all the food and stuff that was in there, did they pitch it all,did they give it to other grocery stores, did the employees take some of the food and other stuff Home with them, seriously it makes You wonder what They did with it all. Edit: I remember that pick 5 for 20$, that was also for meats, You could pick 5 for 20$,yeah that would've been around 2017-2018, maybe 2019, I wish they'd bring that back.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your explore with us!! I do think if I came into a place that squatters may be staying, I'd leave quickly! Sad the owners of the grocery store didn't try to sell or donate all of the shelving and racks, freezers, refrigeration units, deli equipment, etc., as there is always someone looking for those items and they are still expensive used. Lots of non-profits could use these items in their pantries and kitchens, just a thought. The three compartment commercial sinks are for washing, rinsing and then sanitize, which are state mandated laws. Your third sink is for your third step, the sanitizer step in washing. The sanitizer is usually a diluted mixer of bleach and hot water and you don't rinse them again. You just dip whatever you are washing in the solution after you rinse for at least 30 seconds and let dry. Those test on the wall are to test your sanitizing water. Seems like a lot of steps but we all sure want our dishes and utensils clean at eating place!!
Y'all around 39:30 when Mae said "I hate those things", I quite literally said the same thing at the same exact time out loud to myself. I'm dead🤣😭 she knows what's up. Love you guys.
U-desks are really nice I just can't imagine that someone else has not taken them. If I worked for a place that was going out, I would ask to take the desk.
Idk about in America but in Australia a different company owns the cards and card displays in chain shops. They'll have a worker come in and refill and change them out after an event like Valentine's, Easter, mother's day etc so maybe that's why they were left.
Here in the little town I live in in Florida our local small grocery store use to have the 5 for 19.99. Now it 5 for 25 I stock my deep freeze and what not with it
There used to be a time capsule in the floor somewhere of the deli, had Polaroid pictures of employees and some random items. Curious if it's still there
My favorite cereal is Fruit Loops and all of the other brands too like, Fosted Flakes, Lucky Charms!!! 🤗🥛❤️ And too great video I love the long video!!! 🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️
I’m like a store I used to win to. It was just like this. I think it was called fiesta. It kind of remind me of that. I just kind of went through when I was little.
A lot of these commercial developments are financed for 15 years. After that the owners like to milk it with minimal outflows because its all profit. Once the tenants move out they sell to a redeveloper. Roof replacements are a common thread with abandoned commercial. Too expensive to replace.
Bet the landlord wishes he had replaced the roof now that he has no money coming in. These 5 stores combined probably brought in a lot of money. Chances are the landlord was a large Corporation that didn't care what happened to the building's.

I like pretzels as a snack. Looks like the owners did put a lot of care at one time into this store .

always drive by this place, cool to see it from this view, suppressed it was not vandalized more, as other places around there tend to be
Its crazy how this closed in 2018 and it has been decaying since then because for me it's like a time capsule to going to the supermarket with my mom in the 2000s. Its frozen in time😮😮
That is a huge amount of decay for only being abandoned for 5-6 years. I suppose there are roof leaks everywhere and it just snowballed.
Agreed it must have gotten so out of control that the level of decay was sped up

This happened to an ingles grocery store near me where the roof was damaged but it recently got torn down
Wow seems like there is a common issue with grocery stores roofs causing issues!

Not sure if it falls under cereal, but I love a good hearty oatmeal, plain, no fancy flavors!
Dude, I low-key would love to go there with a friends and just yap and walk around.
There's a newly closed burger king(blue roof style) in California it closed presumably mid march the signage wasn't taken down but it might be now
That sounds cool to see!
Back when......😂😂😂😂I like the older store's with the lower shelf smaller style. Not as overwhelming. 😊
Do you know the name of that grocery store it looks familiar but not
We do but unfortunately cannot say the name so that it isn’t vandalized
I use too work here it closed down due to a fire drill all it is still there there are leaks everywhere it closed in 2018
looked as if that was a pretty decent grocery store before it was abandoned.
You guys shoulda taken some "Rad-X" before going in there! 😅 Another great video.
Haha we should have! Thank you so much !
