Teslacam Stories is a series of Tesla owners real experiences told by the Tesla Dashcam and Sentry Mode videos. All incidents are recorded from Tesla vehicles and submitted to this channel by other Tesla enthusiast. I contact each person who send me their videos to talk with them and learn more about their story and to follow up what happened after what we see on their video. Tesla automatically uploads everything it collects to a server. It's essentially big brother on 4 wheels. I'm sure there's a hidden way to do that.
A lot of emails have size restrictions. Videos are too large to send over email

4:00 I don’t understand why the truck driver got pulled over. They switched lanes after the intersection, had their blinker on, and changed lanes with enough distance.
I feel like the truck probably did something not shown in the footage to get pulled over...

4:20 truck literally did nothing wrong. He sped up, signalled and slowly moved lanes. He didn't "cut him off". Sure he should have been at the right lane to begin with but he handled it good enough imo
I gather the specialized training the police officer received did identify a violation and pulled over the pickup driver. So, sorry, that driver did indeed do something wrong.
I live in Flroida, and can say that looked completely fine to me. Can confirm drivers here do 10x worse.

@@Rhaman68 The police do not know majority of road laws. I have witness that time and time again. The truck did not do anything wrong. He signaled and merge over safely. But I have to remember some people "love" the cops until they come for you then it's "my rights, my rights!!"
I find it odd that I enjoy watching Tesla dash cam footage often, but when I do, this is the go to channel!
I'd say that part of it is all of the camera angles the Tesla provides, the other is the commentary and how the video are put together. There are plenty of channels on RUclips dedicated to car and truck videos, but few put their content together quite like he does.
It's so real. That's why I watch it!

When the animal is small enough, swerving to avoid it becomes more dangerous for all drivers. It’s sad, but I would’ve been shocked if autopilot reacted to the squirrel. Glad the little guy made it though

One time a coot flew/ran in front of the wheels of my motocycle. I could do 2 things, try to swerve and crash. Or not to anything. 200 kgs of steel and me sadly crushed that poor bird. But im not going to put myself in danger just for a bird.

I am so happy the squirrel survived. I laughed and shouted for joy when the pick up driver got instantly pulled over. I live in Europe even though I am from the USA but when I was visiting Florida I had been on state road 417
There is no way to adequately prevent from hitting a squirrel. Just by the actions we saw in the video they can't make up their minds. Don't cause damage to your vehicle or others in order to avoid it.

There was no justice at 4:19 ... that guy did nothing wrong at all, the tesla was just driving slow off the line calmly, and the truck turn signalled and was not even going fast at all.. 🤔
You cannot change multiple lanes in one go. That is what he did wrong.

You're assuming he was pulled over for pulling in front of the Tesla. The officer may have run his registration and it was expired or the registered owner was suspended. Without knowing more, we can't be certain for the reason for the stop.
@@frontxxrunner Has it occurred to you that is really is illegal to change lanes in an intersection? This is a very valid reason to pull someone over especially since he did not need to get into that lane until way up under that overpass.

There was probably a long line of cars to go to the right, they probably passed them all, just to get in front and pull that. Its kind of a dick move. Cop hit them with Karma. Justified in my opinion.

I just want to say that ABS would have easily avoided an accident at 2:20, even if the Tesla could not accelerate. So sad to see that such a car does not have ABS :(, even our old Skoda from 2001 has it.
The driver of that car simply had no idea on what to do without ABS, he just floored the break which as he might have noticed afterwards wasn't the best decision.
thats cuz skoda is a winter car, those dodges stratus have one too even tho its a summer state vehicle. it also depends on the model/how much money you initially spent. and when its that old it probably needs to be fixed. my 2000-2001 camry doesnt have ABS even tho most model come with it and i cannot believe that toyota didnt put them on mine. when its specifically designed to be a family sedan. i assume back then you either picked an upgraded sound system or ABS. one of which seems like it should be mandatory but it wasnt long ago when people drove without seat belts.

@@Nasssau regulation yes. and EU doesnt have summer states its mostly winter and wet with not straight roads everywhere so it became mandatory earlier but USA brands had ABS before EU regulations too like that crappy stratus. i think its only ABS option let me know if google lied to me
Lots of vehicles in the U.S. don't seem to come with anti-lock brakes. It's like it's an optional extra over there as opposed to a critical piece of safety equipment.

*The car making a left turn didn't do anything wrong. When a car is going way above the speed limit and you can't see them until the last second. That car is under fault. The car making the left had plenty of time to make his turn safely before other cars came except for someone was going super fast.*

04:00 It's legal to change lanes in an intersection in California, although it's not a good idea. So what did the truck driver do wrong? Is it that he didn't signal again before changing onto the turn lane?
Essentially jumping ahead of a line to then cross over two lanes. They could have turned on their signal and slowly moved forward and merged in behind the Tesla then over to the turn lane. Cop would have ignored them then. But they instead pulled a dick move. Instant Karma. Justified in my opinion.

Number 5. You can see how the shopping car just horizontally move toward the Tesla. That is proof that the motors and battery packs cause a magnetic flux that metal shopping carts.

Go find urself a motor and take it apart, depending on the car, there are no magnets in the motor (Some weird electrical engineering dark magic). That's why cars usually have ABS. It prevents the wheels from locking up, enabling you to turn while braking.

#1 I'd love to know the outcome of this crash. The white Genesis was clearly going way over the speed limit, even though the gold Camry turned across in front of it.
Gold Camry would still be at fault. Speed of the genesis doesn’t matter they had the right of way.
@@katieducky23 They would both be at fault, but mostly the speeding guy. The camry driver is basing his descision to go on everyone else doing the right thing. The genisis is also undertaking the other cars so the other car blocks the camry drivers view which is high risk driving (there is a reason why undertaking is illegal in many places). If the Genesis driver was travelling at the correct speed the accident would not have happened. I am sure the insurance companies wouldnt have paid out for the gensis.
@@theoddkiwi8293 I used to work for an insurance company and the police would be able to ticket genesis for speeding but they nor the insurance would not be able to charge the genesis with the crash because of Genesis had a right away regardless of speed. The light was green. Camry had a unprotected left turn. End of story. It’s up to the Camry to yield.

I’m surprised that you haven’t gotten any crashes from Jönköping Sweden yet, the busses here are so big then take up two lanes every time then turn and in one roundabout there is a lot of traffic in the morning and afternoon so the bus cuts of cars to not stay there for like 10 minutes

The guy who was almost hit by the SUV at the intersection - did he check it was clear before proceeding ? Notice the car behind stayed where it was.
Just because there's a green light doesn't mean it's safe to go. A quick check can save your life.

3:55 He would have been able to get the truck's license plate, but instead he executed an illegal lane change to get back to where he want to go, instead of doing the safe thing and staying in the lane he was forced into by the truck
If a police officer were dumb enough to charge the Tesla driver with an illegal lane change this would be thrown out of court immediately. Do you think all laws must be followed to the letter? Thankfully most law judges see lots of crazy things and still have a great deal of common sense.
Did the Tesla driver have to cross the divide to the left in the first place to avoid being side-swiped by the trailer? Would you prefer they stay in the lane and refuse to budge, thereby causing a longer duration problem and therefore potential tailback endangering more lives?
Common sense prevails in these situations. Clearly the semi driver was in the wrong here, they caused the inconvenience and the Tesla driver did their best not to cause an accident.

At 2:37 the driver in the Dodge Neon manage very well an emergency stop in a car without ABS system. You can see the front wheels and the steering blocking off. Must be a good driver to control a car without electronic assitents

Yeah…. No. As someone who understands ABS and daily drives a car with no ABS, this guy is the example of what NOT to do. ABS works because braking is found to be more effective with rapid quick braking vs steady pressure. Mostly because YOU LOSE ALL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE! (Personal experience). If driving a car without ABS, and you're in this situation, make many quick rapid brake compressions, and steer to the side. Locking your brakes not only stops your wheels, but it prevents both your car from turning, and you from turning the steering wheel. As you saw, the driver had his wheels turned but was still heading straight for the Tesla until he slowed down enough for the car to gain grip. Had the Tesla not moved, he would've run straight into it.
