I disagree about the stiffer penalties. Hit and runs are already considered dead serious, at least in my state. I once bumped into someone at my residential parking lot, went out took a look and saw no damage, went back in the car and hurried to work. Later that evening the other car left a note on the car saying I know it was you, etc. I contacted the guy, he showed me the damages, I told him I'll pay, but unfortunately he contacted cops already. Cops were calling me non stop and came to my previous address, all this even though this JUST happened over a small scratch and I had basically contacted the owner same day and he said he wont press charges It seems like you can cause an accident, nearly kill the other driver, destroy his car, and walk out with no criminal record or any tickets or fines and everything paid by insurance and nobody would even contact you (except the insurance a few times). However, if you dare to even touch someone's car with a bumper and cause a 1 millimeter scratch, you can face years of jail time if you leave the scene. How much more of a punishment do you want for hit and run? - they're already very harsh criminal offenses

The phonetic alphabet & radio alphabet are available via Google. I learnt it as a child & it's come in very handy when I've had to report dangerous driving.
Guy at 17:10 is partially at fault. He moved right before turning left, possibly confusing the other driver, as well as it looked like he would have had to cut-off that on-coming white SUV over a double-solid.
Not only that but he was making a left hand turn over a double yellow line with no break in the line allowed for the turn. Pretty sure that is also illegal.
@@70baja In some states it maybe. But in most states if there is no break in the double yellow line. It is illegal to cross the double yellow. Even for a left turn,
@@Shaithis-do3uj no. It's not. Everyone that lives on the left side of the road has to find a place to turn around so they can get into their driveway? Do you have a cite for this law?
35:15 The satisfaction of the fact that the kid got caught is perfection. Though i still think the kid will still act this way for the hell of it. This video almost filled my satisfaction, great vid.
It could be if that driver didn't have insurance, they could be labeled at fault. I know some of the central states are an "at fault" state where if one of the parties didn't have insurance, even if they were the one originally not at fault, they'd be labeled at fault.
Why does it always seem like the vehicle that gets hit is the slowest one in the chase? Watching people get out run by SUV's and Trucks in their cars blows my mind.
4000 lb car powered by a naturally aspirated 1.6L putting out like 130 HP at redline connected to a CVT that simulates shift points which basically defeats the whole point of a CVT and results in a vehicle that would lose to the Titanic in a drag race. Maybe they get hit in part because they can't get out of the way of things? Just a thought. XD
Trucks are usually V8's while their cars are 4 bangers barely strong enough to push their cars up a hill. While the truck can drag around a space shuttle for fun in a mud pit
Back in 1994, I had the unpleasant fortune of being hit by a speeding car, whilst crossing the road. From my blurry view against the grit of the asphalt, blood all over my head, I blurrily made out the driver leaned his head out of his door then lean back in and drive off. I was in Hospital for a week and subsequently in physio for the rest of the year, about 6 months in all. I started to feel depressed and am on strong medication to this day. I had been hit square on and flipped straight over the length of the car, rolling over and spinning in the air. I landed on my face, I remember the 'crack' sound to this day as my head met the road. The police investigation was confused. 'I should not be alive'. I'll take that as a compliment. But aside from all the drama of this, I believe that I would not be suffering from such PTSD and anxiety, depression and agoraphobia, if I could have had some kind of justice served, or even just some kind of closure on it, you know? I lost a part of me that day, just a kid. It was taken away from me by a person breaking the law by speeding and not looking ahead in the road, but then driving off again thinking I would be 'okay', or maybe he thought I was dead... Either way, I can remember the first day I knew I had depression, when I looked out of the Hospital window and started to cry. Eh- all out of tears now, but moral of the story, is just please drive carefully out there. It could be some poor kid's life you destroy. You don't even have to kill them to kill them inside.
I am so sorry. In the comments on another video, some kid was griping about old people go too slow, and he had great reaction time. I asked if he thought it was worth playing the odds with another person's life. Praying for continued healing. 🙏
So sorry for not only what you went through, bit what you're still enduring. I truly hope this is not a made up story in hopes of gaining sympathy. My eldest stepson was run over by a hit and run driver during his 7th grade year and has chronic pain and emotional issues to this day. If your story is true, I completely understand and feel for you 100%, knowing someone personally with a similar background. He is 43 now and still has issues with both knees (dislocated) both legs had the thigh bones broken, and his left arm (his arm had three compound, through the skin, breaks), and he was drug about 30 feet under the car before his shirt ripped loose and the rear tire rolled over his head. He has had seizures ever since to boot. The damage a car can do to a child, and not kill, them can be heart breaking and last a lifetime. He has never been able to last longer than a few days on any job, ended up taking several years trying and trying again before barely passing his GED. He has gotten by for years now on a piddly income of SSI because he can't maintain employment with the damage sustained from injuries from that hit and run driver 30 years ago when he was just a child. Think about that, folks, when you are in such an all mighty rush or think driving distracted or just a few drinks is ok because everybody does it. They caught my son's driver, and he was just under the legal limit for alcohol, so no DUI, but he did admit that he was messing with the dial on the radio and never saw my son on his bicycle. He got H&R, distracted driving, and vehicular assault of a minor. 5 years with time served and the balance probate. He spent less than 6 months in jail before his attorney got that plea bargain through. And my step son has suffered since and still suffers. The attorney we could afford off of him getting a "portion of the winnings" got him the remainder of $5000 after the hospital bills and the lawyer were paid. Damned sheister.
26:57 that woman's way of thinking is quite odd. "When in all reality it was his fault because he chose to confront them!" Ummm, yeah, he'd found his stolen car, and was probably pissed. I understand her being mad her car was hit, I'd be pissed, too. But she's mad at the WRONG PERSON. It wasn't the owners fault, at all! A bit dumb on HIS PART because they could have had a gun. But it surely wasn't HIS FAULT! The blame goes to the person that STOLE THE MANS CAR.
Ya, it just screams her selfishness how her car getting dinged cause of theives yet somehow the owner trying to get their property back is supposed to just sit their and let them? Its horribly twisted sense of priorities.
It was both of their fault. You don’t drive on the wrong side of the road to intimidate another driver even if they committed a crime first. They 100% caused that accident and it’s absolutely ridiculous that she had to pay for her own damages when she did nothing, and there was nothing she could do to prevent what happened from happening
So many props to the dude with the dash cam that followed the person in the second or third clip that took the left and caused the bad accident. He got their info etc and they ended up being responsible.
Something I noticed, cameras give you license to break more laws after you've been hit. People be doing some silly things that can cause more accidents.
Depending on the state, you can have the defense of ‘necessity’, in other words the police will waive any other infractions from you because it was necessary for you to stop the unsafe driver from hurting people or breaking the law any further and assisting the police with catching them
@@koen5396 I fail to see how chasing somebody down is stopping them from being dangerous and potentially hurting more people. If anything you’re just making it worse, since both of you drive more recklessly the longer the chase goes on.
its possible she was in a hurry and thought she heard a bump or something, maybe her music was loud, but wasnt sure and didnt want to check because she was in a hurry. We drivers do this all the time- when we hear something collide with a car we dont always stop to inspect. I know I myself had a similar situation: i hit something but I wasnt sure, I stepped out to check for like 5 seconds, saw nothing, but later realized I did hit another vehicle- i just didnt see the damage immediately
10:54 You gotta give this man some cred. He runs a stop signs and yells at someone else for also running the stop sign. The stupidity reaches new heights.
I think my favorite was #10. Cammer didn't fully stop for the stop sign either. Made a turn onto the road that caused another car to alter their driving style and lay on the horn. Then raced down the road in what didn't even look like an actual lane.
26:35 is hysterical. What an incredible series of events. My car was stolen just a couple of months ago and I would absolutely have done the same. "LET'S GO BITCH!" 😂
All these videos prove to me is that I need a super high quality dashcam because a lot of these hit and runners in these videos seem to get away because its almost impossible to make out the license plate
7:36 the cammer couldve avoided this wreck easily, he saw the dude coming up on him trying to cut him off, and while it was a dick move on the red cars part, he couldve just dropped back and let him pass but he sped up just to keep his spot. crazy how some folks would rather let a wreck happen than damage their ego
A year later, that was my exact thought when I saw that. It may not be entirely their fault, but a poor reaction essentially prevented them from escaping what probably would've been an easily avoidable accident. If only they had let off the gas and possibly applied light braking, it probably would've worked out. Frustrating but you're still on track for wherever you're going. Personally, I just don't want to be nailed by clueless fools who don't check blind spots while making lane changes at speeds where the slightest shifts/impacts create massive inertia in unpredictable ways. A bump, or even a quick reflex swerve can be death at high speeds. You think of that FIRST. Do what you have to in order to remove any immediate possibility of that. Near misses are scary enough, but you never feel better and more appreciative than after successfully avoiding a hit. I constantly watch drivers around me, looking for behavior that makes any of them ones I need to prepare to react to, think about my positioning on the road and future maneuvers. I think you kind of have to with the way people drive these days. I would much rather a reckless driver get as far in front of me as possible before they wreck, happy to let them by. This one forgot that rule, and was lucky to only lose their suspension. Could've lost everything over 'lane dominance.'
@@differentbutsimilar7893 I say it was 100% their fault... the red car made no contact. Cammer sped up to their side and jerked his wheel to the right, causing contact.
H&R's are the hardest to watch, especially when they get away. Eventually, it will catch up to the perps, but it leaves a really bad taste in the victims' mouths, and turns my stomach. Anyway, thanks again for the recap. See you next time.
It's something I dread since I can't afford decent insurance to cover me if someone hits and runs. I can't even afford uninsured driver coverage or replacement car coverage. If I'm hit and my car is totaled, I'm S.O.L.
@@hannahbanana7723 I do hope you have a dashcam, at least. There are inexpensive ones that will still help in the event of an accident. Take care, be safe, and have a wonderful 2022.

Oh, I totally understand his frustration. Idiots that just block the road for whatever reason, but he did hit him while trying to go around, showing he's not exactly a great driver himself...
@@freebird-lr4hm Well in that case he was making a left turn. Not sure what state he was in, but in my state you can do that, you just can't cross the solid line to pass someone.
The dash-cam driver of 17:20 was literally moments away from causing an accident with the white car. He has right to call out someone else’s bad driving
I love it "they got the kid before noon the next day" "I have elected to file charges instead of..." More people should discipline their children more firmly then you wouldn't have to "elect" to file charges on children. I'm glad you did it!!
29:30 If you work at a retail store and get robbed, it's not your duty to go chasing after the robbers as they could potentially have a firearm or other weapons. Let the owner claim it through their insurance, it's not worth the risk.
10:47 although that female didnt have the right to damage your car or blatantly run the stop, you didnt make a complete stop either lol. Thats called a roll & go and you can be easily ticketed for that as well as her.
10:50 The guy blows through a stop sign, blames another guy for doing it and then they BOTH proceed to drive recklessly through streets. Amazing. “She assaulted me for no reason.” She hit your car because you were yelling profanities at her. Doesn’t make it okay, but also both people had parts to play in this. You’re not innocent. The one where the three cars blocked the guy in was beautiful justice. I also don’t typically think people have guns on them but I can see why they would think he could have a gun on him. It’s beautiful to see people come together for justice.
I'm glad someone went after the car in #3. It's called a non-contact collision. He didn't contact another vehicle, but entered their lane of travel. A lot of these get away because they don't have any damage to help indentify them.
I like how getting hit by someone, despite it being caught on camera, makes someone then think it’s okay to conduct their own high speed chase running stop signs, speeding, going off the road etc like that’s going to help things.
The person at around 34:00 is definitely in the wrong, at least for the accident. They deliberately wouldn't let the other car merge and sped up. You can hear the engine revving. Sure, the other person should have realized the person with the cam is a douche but still, they 'can't believe they hit them!'
7:38 Cammer camps in the passing land then deliberately gets in an accident with the red Infiniti it feels like, even accelerates to create contact. I hate this for both drivers really; *either* of them could have prevented it.
Either of them could’ve prevented it yes however the red infinity is at fault, regardless of if he’s hogging the lane, there was plenty of space to pass in front of him but the red infinity tried proving a point and caused the accident
@@StrawberriesPlays in all fairness, this is likely shared fault outright just by nature. The Infiniti perhaps contributed more to the accident, but from 20 years of insurance experience, they care about drivers deliberately avoiding accidents & fight against moves like this that create higher risk & ultimately an accident. They both were bad outright, for sure.
What was going on before this video starts? There's probably more to the story. Either way, the red car forces his way into the lane illegally and dangously, but the cammer gives way to avoid a collision; the smart and natural reaction. But then his inner rage takes over and he accelerates and forces a collision to demonstrate it is "his lane" and no-one is going to force him out of it. I don't think the insurance is going to be on the cammer's side.
@@markltbn I think it’ll be a “deal with it yourself” type situation from both parties’ insurances, because you are 100% right however the red infinity did start it (as far as the video shows, however more context could be missing)
#13 so you needed that much space to turn left? Looked like you were getting over to the right lane that was ending. 20:00 good they deserved it for blocking the road. 😂😂😂 both actually got what they deserved.. the blue truck got damage as well..
It reminds me of when greedy morons would literally block the intersection just so they can cross into Costco. Thankfully, the city did something about it and blocked off that whole entrance, so no idiot can block the intersection.
Just had one of these situations this morning. Speeding charger hit a car with a mother and daughter. Passenger (daughter) was killed instantly and driver(mother) is fighting for her life. I hope the hit and run driver on the charger is caught and place in prison for life.
@@LaiyaUnscripted Yes, unfortunately mother also died during surgery in the hospital. And what really sucks is that the driver of the speeding charger was caught and released 24hrs later. They said insufficient evidence. This is bullshit she was under the influence, speeding and ran a red light that ultimately killed a mother and daughter. What more do you need???? We have a stupid criminal system!
7:41 the other driver was at partial fault for changing lanes without checking... However the camera car is also at fault for trying to speed up instead of slowing down to allow that guy in. Those accident could've been avoided by both parties.
10:47 LMAO. Guy yells at driver for running a stop sign, but the guy yelling did a rolling stop (no stop) as well. Both guilty of not observing road signs.
One of my favorite driving stories was during an ice storm. I was in a little car that just couldn’t keep traction on the road. Maybe a mile from home desperately trying to get home safe. Well I lost control and almost read ended the truck in front of me, but this dude was like a super human. He saw me freaking out sliding towards him, and then he did some crazy wizardry making his truck match my speed, and then let me hit him going the same speed, and slowed down bringing my car to a stop. He just winked at me knowing what he did was one of the most bad ass things possible. He used his own truck as a cushion and brake for my car. No damage.
"Crazy wizardry...." to match your speed? It's called stepping on the gas pedal. It miraculously gives a car the magic ability to accelerate and get to the same speed your own car is traveling! Wow! Such amazing powers of wizardry contained within the gas pedal!! Such a wonder to behold!!
4:28 Which is worse, the fender bump *or the drastically more dangerous & frequent choices made by the cammer to "catch" him* in spite of having the dashcam footage in the first place? Never mind getting stuck in an intersection first but yikes; I'm just glad nobody else was hurt.
He also should have called 911. I understand he wanted to catch the woman but exceeding the speed limit to do so is unacceptable. As long as he was chasing her a cop would been more valuable
@@SchererProductionServices Absolutely bonkers to me that isn't the case. That and tinted rear plate tint covers. I believe they're illegal in most places, but clearly they don't get ticketed enough from what I see around town.
20:30 that SUV so deserved to be hit and run. I was wanting the truck to just ram that SUV out of the road. That is extremely inconsiderate and just plain stupid for someone to just park like that on the road
Exactly. And I wonder how he has the balls to send in the video clearly showing that he was at fault, but blaming the other car instead. No self-respecting insurance company is going to believe him after seeing the video.
The red car clearly entered the cammer's lane, cutting him off. Why the cammer then entered the lane to the right? Reaction to the car turning after being hit perhaps? Regardless, cammer had established lane position and the red car attempted an illegal lane change.
I can't believe how many people hit and run, and how they only a get a citation for doing that. Well, no wonder so many people are doing it! The penalties need to be much harsher for hit and run, first of all, they deserve a heavier punishment, second of all, it might actually discourage some hit and runs.

2:00 i cant believe the dude who caused the accident just drove away like it wasn’t his flippin fault
My reaction watching this whole video
It could be if that driver didn't have insurance, they could be labeled at fault. I know some of the central states are an "at fault" state where if one of the parties didn't have insurance, even if they were the one originally not at fault, they'd be labeled at fault.
Why does it always seem like the vehicle that gets hit is the slowest one in the chase? Watching people get out run by SUV's and Trucks in their cars blows my mind.
people are too scared to floor it lmfao
Generally they aren't as suicidal or care more about the people around them than the people that hit them is my guess.
You've obviously never driven a 4 cylinder car?

Something I noticed, cameras give you license to break more laws after you've been hit. People be doing some silly things that can cause more accidents.
They're trying to get a plate on camera so the police can hopefully track down the owner.
Depending on the state, you can have the defense of ‘necessity’, in other words the police will waive any other infractions from you because it was necessary for you to stop the unsafe driver from hurting people or breaking the law any further and assisting the police with catching them

@@Greydawg yea I think they’re both fucking idiots, but I agree with what you’re saying and see your point.

The red car clearly entered the cammer's lane, cutting him off. Why the cammer then entered the lane to the right? Reaction to the car turning after being hit perhaps? Regardless, cammer had established lane position and the red car attempted an illegal lane change.
