Teslacam Stories is a series of Tesla owners' real experiences told by the Tesla Dashcam and Sentry Mode videos. All incidents are recorded from Tesla vehicles and submitted to this channel by other Tesla enthusiasts. I contact each person who sends me their videos to talk with them and learn more about their story and to follow up on what happened after what we see on their video. Voice-over and captions are added to describe what happened, and why. I believe that this additional information regarding the incident gives the videos a newsworthy value.
From the footage and additional information, a viewer can learn the consequences of bad driving and can educate his/her self with better driving safety. This process also gives the videos a great educational value. It is my desire to add my own unique and creative value in a transformative way to ensure you enjoy and learn from the videos being presented.

That's not a Jeep
First
No I’m first bro
You cheated

Third
I think the fact that everyone walked away without injuries from a 28 car pile up shows how far cars have come in crash safety.
Excellent point, I thought the same...
It's also because no big rigs were involved
Good point...@@righty-o3585
They only walked away that day. They will have pain later on lol
You people don't actually believe what the narration sayz, do you?
14:16 - "The Jeep driver stopped and immediately admitted the collision was his fault"
Rare. Very rare. Unicorn level rare.

I live near here. It is in fact an upscale community. The building is indeed a barn in terms of style, but it is hardly a shabby old barn.
@@yoregano just looking at it from the outside on google maps, you could live in that good a barn. it's like the mansion of barns.
Okay but Tyler….. my man. That’s a nice mustang. Don’t be mad at the car be mad at the driver* 😂🤦🏻♀️
Tyler was a left lane hog who didn’t yield to faster traffic.
@@AFTER_MIDNITE yeah I can agree with that.
I'll be mad at the dryer and not the driver 🤣
@@JamesTK lmao didn’t even realize that 😂
Mustang was cutting through trafic with no turn signals like a BMW driver.
Tyler has problems man, why cut someone off to retaliate then just let the other driver cut you off even more? You are driving a tesla just pass him lol.
The crazy thing is that Mustang is just one step above a bike in terms of crash safety. A literal tin can in a crash. Wild that he decided to play those games.
Passing vehicles on the road, even inadvertently, causes the road rages to road rage more and escalate things. I've been surprised road raged 2-3x in 4 years in my Tesla.
@@Wowezzersdozzers True: Although I do have a soft spot for these vintage Mustangs, I wouldn't want to crash in one of them. They lack everything in passive safety: No collapsible steering column, no side door beams, no reinforced pillars, no back seat barriers and a gas tank easy to rupture in a rear collision. And it's better not to talk about active safety.
"Yeah, pass him! Make him eat your dust!"
"It's a Tesla, it doesn't give off dust."
"Damn..."
I love how you added the “Jeep” graphic for the video since you know that wasn’t no Jeep lol. That was a Chevy Tahoe lol.
There are a lot of idiots who call any SUV or 4x4 a Jeep. My father worked with a Jamaican guy who called my father's 86 tricked out Toyota pickup a Jeep. He asked why and the guy said trucks are Jeeps. Who can argue with that logic.
It is a Jeep says on the back the grill is from a Jeep and the fact they dont sell Chevy Tahoe in the UK
It's a "Cheep" according to the badges
Dan, making an illegal turn, and then complaining about someone else making an illegal turn. Brilliant.
ikr, didn't even signal his lane change ether, the gall.
why didn't wamm bamm call him out on it is my question, the tesla driver was more at fault than the biker, the bicker had a clear lane to turn into.
Apparently Tesla drivers are above the law. Some of these video submissions are just as bad as those reckless drivers posting videos for clout, but essentially snitching on themselves.
Where was the illegal turn exactly? The 'Michigan U-Turn' is what they are /meant/ to do.
@@intercity125 When turning right onto multiple lane road the driver is required to stay in the rightmost through lane. Dan didn't and moved to the left most lane where the biker was pulling out.

Trying to get him to activate the rear lights, the DRLs only have the headlights on. .
pretty sure the Tesla cut off the BMW in the beginning of the video when moving to the right turning lane.
That's why he was upset.

13:20 The video is in Brisbane, Queensland Australia. The car is a KIA Stinger, which the have a few of for traffic use. General Duties cars are often Toyota Camry Hybrids, or Hyundai Iloads.

Wear Polarized sunglasses. Cuts most of the glare when the sun is low. Much safer. Unfortunately you can't wear them in cars with modern digital dashboards as you can't read them while wearing polarized sunglasses.
It depends on the digital screen orientation. If the polarization filter on the sunglasses and LCD screen aren’t aligned in the same direction, then the screen can’t be seen. It’s truly a failure of auto manufacturers who don’t orient their LCD screens to be aligned to work with a common driving tool like polarized sunglasses.
@@AFTER_MIDNITEThis was also a problem when fuel pumps first started to get LCD displays. All you could see through your sunglasses was a black screen. The manufacturers fixed it by changing the orientation of the filter in the display.
Yeah, I'm probably showing my age. The point is though, this problem has already be solved, except by some 21st century car makers.

That motorcycle guy cracks me up: all that black clothing and tough guy attitude only to be riding what is basically Harley's entry level bike.
13:55 Yes, we only have the left lane campers word on "passing other drivers" , but somehow no video evidence.
Seriously though lol. “passing other drivers” but 90% of the time they mean “passing at 5mph over the limit”.
The Tesla driver who got mad at the Mustang was a left lane hog too. Elon needs to send out a software update for autopilot to yield to faster traffic.

According to Wham Bam, there are low orbit satellites and there are super low orbit satellite for street view. You have to watch out for those because they zoom by in the streets at about 17 000 mph.
First time I see a Jeep wearing a bowtie, how elegant is that.
First time I see cylindrical cones.
We can see so many things for the first time on this channel, it's amazing.

So did you :)
"My Grandma's from Virginia"
The 4 barrels in the carburetor kicked in and gave the Mustang more power! That's why they were called gas guzzlers!
if you watch closely i think the carbies fell off. You can see something fall off the engine when the front gets kicked into the air. Then it comes out the back
For those of us that live in MI, it's a Michigan left. A lot of towns removed traffic signals and do the Michigan left turn. It's supposed to make it easier...lol
I've seen that in Holland (Michigan). It's kind of weird but it makes sense.
I've heard it called a Louisiana Left. :P
Love those Tesla Cams that vindicate so many Teslas and Tesla drivers from being falsely prejudiced and found at fault.
As soon as he said “that’s it guys thanks for watching” I was like that’s it 😂 but nah I still 14 mins left lmao
Omg that kid's reaction to the cyber truck was so cute!
Dan @ 7:06 turned right going all the way to the left lane, third lane over. I think the motorcycle was justified in being upset that Dan didn't turn into the closed lane and then merge like he should have. However, he did go a little overboard on his response.
If you do that (pull into nearest lane after right turn) you will miss the 'Michigan left' that you are supposed to use to go left. Either that or go miles out of your way to the next one.
It's kind of a damned if you do thing, because Michigan law wants you to turn into closest lane, yet there will be signs at said intersection to use the Michigan Left U-turn lane to go left, and sometimes you immediately have to cross 3, 4 lanes of traffic to get to it (Telegraph Rd. in Detroit suburbs, for example).
And then nearly ran the biker over again by changing lanes into him.
OMG, I cant believe Will made it to your video! Thank you so much @Wham Baam Teslacam! He screamed just as loud as we watched the video! 🙏🏻
13:48 very simple, just move out of the passing lane when not passing vehicles, most of these cases happen because drivers stay on the passing lane for all eternity and never move
THE COP WAS DRIVING A KIA STINGER
13:07 that is actually on Gladstone Road in Brisbane, Australia just as you enter the suburb of "Highgate Hill" as you can see by the sign right where they pull the car over. Pretty sure New Zealand doesn't even have strict school zones like Australia does. Here school zones are 40km/h in morning an afternoons and usually have red markings on the road (as can be seen in the clip) and flashing yellow lights on signs on the side of the road as you enter the zone so it is quite hard to miss so if you get pulled over, its on you. Also the police car is a Kia Stinger, used as highway patrol in Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory. Not all Australian states utilise the Stinger.
Number 3 is the reason why I always park next to or near a Tesla.
I may drive a Honda, but at the end of the day, it's parked next to a Tesla in our garage, so my Honda is acustomed to be careful around Teslas.
Also I'm still waiting on seeing a video of me putting a Hot Wheels or Matchbox Tesla on a Tesla's windshield on sentry mode lmao. I've only distributed about maybe 5 toy cars to Tesla owners lol
11:04 that isn't a jeep, that's a Chevy or gmc suburban...... And side note. California has the highest number of reported fatal hit n runs in the nation. Wyoming has the highest number of non fatal hit n run crashes in the US......
Luke's swerve looked like autopilot pulled off the near miss.
Number 6 is not New Zealand it's Brisbane Australia
"THAT'S NOT A JEEP"😂😂
Chevrolet turned into jeep
i love the wham bam music mix lmao😂

That was autopilot that pulled that move off!!
I was going to write a comment about that "Jeep" but... I see what you did there. lol Good save, sir!

There is no such thing as a V8 sound being obnoxious

I mean proper in the sense that’s it’s not a million decibels and/or sounds terrible.
I know that intersection in Tracy, Ca extremely well!! That's the beginning of Paterson Pass which is a sometimes one lane wide road that leads to Livermore, Ca. You have no idea how bad it is, it's truly a free for all and I very seldom see any cops.
Surprised there aren't any red light cameras.
6:55 I think the Tesla pulled of that evasive manoeuvre because the driver wouldn’t see him in time
6:53 Probably the tesla because no tesla owner has that good reflexs.
The cop is driving a Kia stinger
5:19 also would be willing to bet the guy in the mustang doesn't have insurance.... So hopefully Tyler thought about that...... 🙄
#20 This is when you get a lawyer and go after the driver. There may also be cause to go after the insurance company
It's cali. The Tahoe is uninsured, the driver is unlicensed and has multiple warrants. Disqualifies it from ANY police intervention. Now a Trump sticker would get the SWAT team called out on the Tesla driver and the judge would award the at fault party everything he owns.
10:07 edit Allan got home and realised he had a bit of tree or a stick stuck under his front bumper and Beamer man had been trying to tell him 😅😂😅
Looks like his tail lights are not on. Serious overreaction to someone approaching the passenger side either way.
#9 is a Chevrolet Tahoe with a Jeep badge over the Chevy badge.
I knew I would find this comment.
11:00 There was a bill proposed in California that would allow for the arrest of the registered owner of a vehicle in the case of a hit-and-run. However, if memory serves me, pro-crime/pro-criminal state senators argued that it had to be the same standards as traffic enforcement cameras--a driver had to be seen on camera (an earlier bill was shot down in which tickets from traffic enforcement cameras would be the responsibility of a vehicle's owner) or seen in person. On top of that, a vehicle's owner does not have to divulge who they loaned their vehicle out to following a hit-and-run situation. Yes, including a few cases involving fatal accidents. So, pro-crime/pro-criminal influences in state government have ensured that hit-and-run accidents will most likely not be followed up on, other than pursued as a civil matter. A bunch of 'feel sorry' bills following the summer of peaceful rioting have ensured the poor and downtrodden's have a right to drive but not have to follow the law when it comes to registration, insurance, and/or being licensed. So, even through civil courts, a driver is out of luck going after someone who wronged them.
Well... it IS California, you can't expect common sense and logic.
STOP WITH THESE ESSAYS
I had to comment that the maneuver was so smooth that it had to be the Tesla auto. Love your videos. I am learning so much.
10:43 Nice driving by the van! Didn't even come close to losing control.
13:24. The cop car looks like a Holden of some sort. That’s GM in Australia and New Zealand. Similar to Opel and Vauxhall in Europe and the UK.

The state minimum requirement of 25,000 is not enough always get at least $100,000 in coverage just in case you need it
Here in Ontario, Canada the minimum PL&PD coverage is $1,000,000. The upcharge for $5 million in coverage is not a great amount.

In California you don't have to pay deductible if the other person don't have insurance which is typically the case for most hit and run
11:07 the vehicle is a Chevrolet Tahoe
Looks like the driver made the swerve, excellent situational awareness.
That cop car is a Kia Stinger
Clip 6 - That’s not New Zealand, it’s sunny Brisbane, Queensland. Also the cop is in a Kia Stinger
As a Michigan Driver, I think it may have been autopilot as the vehicle was near the rear
7:02 I know what a Michigan U-turn is because when I was with my family was in the Midwest in the summer of 2022, we drove all the way from Illinois to Michigan! A day later, we drove to Sandusky, Ohio from Michigan!
The Police Station was not a barn. It just had a gambrel roof, a design with a lot of space inside. A lot storage sheds use this design and barns use this design for the space to store hay.
It's videos like these that convinced me to buy a dash cam for my car.
7:01 How does a motorcycle "waiting at a stop sign" roll through that same stop sign? If he was waiting, that suggests he stopped. The Tesla failed to turn into the closest lane, which caused the safety issue. This could have been avoided if the Tesla maintained its lane and only moved to the left lane after verifying it was not occupied. Good thing we have it on camera!
11:37 Ah yes, since it’s not a Jeep let’s rename it Jeep on the photo shot 😂
Obnoxious sound of a V8? I know you guys are into electrics, but come on -that thing was a beauty and must have sounded awesome. No need to hate on the "other team" :)
Maybe 25k is the minimum insurance you are required to have in many states but it sure doesn't cover the value of most newer vehicles these days.
ADRIAN should’ve told the cops that he was pursuing the hit and run driver. They would’ve responded. Also, Adrian should get the owners info and take him to small claims court to recover the deductible.
They wouldn't do a thing I think
i love you guys! your awsome!
If that is a Rolex that guy is screwed...the internet will find him!
3:50 “obnoxious roar” wow how rude 😂
Not that the biker is not also at fault, but Dan was supposed to turn into the closest lane.
6:57 Dan made a wide turn and almost sideswiped a biker, then cut that biker and the biker was understandably angry.

13:13 That's not a jeep, and it isn't New Zealand either - it's a suburb of Brisbane, Australia
How did I know that black BMW was gonna nail the stereotype of a BMW owner LMAO
#2… If a traffic light remains red for an unreasonably long period of time, it’s a defense to believe the traffic light is broken as long as you treat it like a stop sign and proceed safely. If the other lights cycle and your light remains red, then it’s even more convincing that you believed the light to be broken.
