Oh hell yeah. More DOLLAR. Also for shorter videos I'd say give Spookston a shot.
The thing with critical hits especially for aircraft and helicopters is that they can be things like landing gear being broken so they're not exactly reliable info of wether said aircraft will go down. Also, Su-25's are notorius for not going down even after multiple anti-air missle hits.

Also "VT" rounds are basically proximity fuse shells, they detonate when they're near enough an aircraft, they don't require a direct hit.
War thunder is doing okay, we are getting F-16C and a new Mig-29 and better grind at top tier because they are foldering vehicles and making it easier to go through themç.
They are finally separating out some of the tech trees, and the naval battles are OK

My favorite War Thunder moment was driving a KV-2 at full "speed" out of spawn, seeing a plane in the distance and just sending a round for the hell of it. It connected. Good times.
