I was there, and it was really great and very hot that weekend. I live near RaR and after 11 years of wanting to see Tenacious D at RaR I finally managed to get there and see them on my second visit. I also managed to get to the first rows, and it was just incredible. Can't wait for the next time and next year!
Man, I’ve never cried over a concert other than Tenacious D ones. Don’t know why, but I’m always having a storm of mixed emotions when I hear them. Im like a child hearing that mom and dad wouldn’t come over for my birthday, only to see them when it’s time to blow up candles from the cake. It’s an overwhelming experience with feeling of being tricked, pure joy of seeing them and leftover bitterness from a feeling that I will be here without them. The D crushes my soul with powerful music, deep lyrics, funny bits and then I’m revived again as a phoenix, having a hope that someday in my life I would be able to see them live. Clock is ticking, they aren’t getting younger, and as a Russian it’s hard to plan something big like a trip of this scale. But still, I love their art, and I’m happy to be able to experience this even through a RUclips video 😅

For me this started as a parody and omage to rock and metal... and it evolved in being the essence of it... U two are in line with the greatest musicians who ever walked on this earth..
Still going strong, I can't describe how much love and admiration I've got for these two and till this day I always have to cry when I hear "Dude (I Totally Miss You)", especially live, it just hits home and every time I heart it again there is more to remember.
