Jane’s work explores the organic natural world, specifically the paradox between plant and human physiology and the dynamic, often unseen colourful processes of growth, death and reproduction above and below our horizon.
She has worked within an artistic field her whole life as a drawing tutor at the British Museum and Head of Art in a Prep school. Jane is now a full time painter in her studio in Dorking. Jane has exhibited in group shows across the UK & Europe, America and India and has had five solo shows.
Julia Stockwell-Hamid is a fine artist, silversmith and arts interviewer whose multifaceted career in the creative industries has shaped her unique perspective. From gracing the stage as a trained dancer and choreographer to mastering the art of horticulture on a sprawling 53-acre estate in Chester, Julia's journey is a testament to her boundless passion for the arts. Her interviewing prowess was first honed in Tanzania during the East Africa Biennale, where she began capturing the voices of artists with her relaxed and engaging style. Now back in the UK, Julia continues to champion artists, bringing their stories to life with her easy, conversational interview technique, making her a cherished figure in the artistic community.
