    Fishing For The Most HATED Sea FISH in The UK? PART TWO!
    For this latest video we're finally back out on the beach with a follow up video from a session we filmed last year where we posed the question are Whiting the most hated sea fish in the UK?
    The comments lit up and there were some very interesting points raised, so much so that we felt like we should really film a part two - so here it is!
    To find out exactly how we got on watch this latest instalment, from the waters edge.
    As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.

    Whiting prepared by filleting and skinning, sprinkled with chilli flakes and stored in the fridge overnight to allow flavours to develop. Shallow fried in 50/50 butter/oil they are amazing. Good to see you back out on the beach. 🎣👍🏻

    I been fishing 3 times in my lifetime of 64 years. But i never caught anything, I was ridiculed by the wife, for çoming home empty handed after spending the whole day.
    I have given up now, but I love watching you guys catching and cooking . Wishing you the very best of fun and health.

      Fishing is a process of learning and an experience. It's to get away from life's troubles for a few hours just like football. It allows you peace and quiet and tranquillity. The fact you used the word ridiculed makes your wife seem callous. Get back on it mate. It's a hobby. It gets you in the fresh air.

      Went for the first time last weekend (beach fishing anyway) and caught a whiting within 2 minutes of casting, technically big enough to keep but not by much so I let him go. I didn't catch anything for the next 5 and a half hours but my brother had a couple. I just enjoyed being out in the open air, cooked up some bacon sandwiches and a coffee on the beach, as it turned to dark the full moon was lighting up the sea and our rods.. Just a great experience, loved every minute of it, definitely going again!

    Dog fish also make great eating but a lot of people can't be bothered to faff about skinning them. However, once you master the technique they make great fish goujons, battered and fried like the Whiting in this video. No small bones with a Doggie either.

    I'm an ex Fisher man due to illness,we were deep sea fishing gone away for a few weeks and I've eaten all kinds of fish, literally everything we caught I've cooked and eaten, whiting are one of my favourites fried in a pan until just over golden brown and crisp, lovely 👍,you just keep fishing, and eating, the big boats throw far to much away, but that's another subject, good on you enjoyed your video

    Great videos guys. Pigs liver is a delicious food to eat but you have to know how to prep and cook . it should be left salted for half a day and then fried for 3-4 minutes . Sorry what I didn't mention was the liver should be cut into small strips as well. It should be creamy when you try it . If fried too long it will be like rubber. Chris well done you made a good job of cooking that fish that's how I do mine and other meats ( chicken, pork and seafish. Great session guys.

    Hi Chris Great to see you hitting the Kessingland Beach, As & when I get to the area your fishing location is just the spot ,to the right of the boats as you walk from the Sailors Home Pub & next to that tree trunk. It's been there for some time now!! I think I've only drawn a blank there once in all the times I have visited. I have never tried the Liver as bait but definitely will next time I go out.
    Keep up the great work.

    Canned anchovy fillets. You get 10 to 12 fillets per can, can costs around 50p, add to squid or other fish baits in "cocktails", with bait elastic they hold up pretty well, excellent attractant. Last for years in your tackle box!

  • @BarryBollox.
    @BarryBollox. 2 года назад

    You can eat both fish however filleting a dogfish is the reason why they are not a commercial target. Where I am from a whiting is a pleasant catch, Dogfish seem to dominate the shores because they are such efficient scavengers of the sea. The real question is would a dogfish sniff out your bait in the water before Whiting would if there was the same amount of doggys/whiting in the area? My bet is doggo wins every time.

    I still eat Liver, like a bit of Liver every now and then, lots of vitamin A, copper, B12, iron and others. Not to everybody's liking, but it's good for you. It's just as good eating as the fighting Whiting.

  • @davidcole5842
    @davidcole5842 2 года назад

    Nothing wrong with a bucket load of Whiting !! You only need 1 worm and a 3 hook flapper to get started. Chop the worm into 3 bits bait up and chuck it out, every time you get whiting on. Don't unhook them, instead whack hard on the head then yank the hook out with the guts all ready on the hook cast and repeat. simples
