@@sanmiguel4019 he’s right, break for life making the most effort and entertainment out there, not mentioning he beaten Hendry in Tough table challenge.
The thing I love about this is I grew up in the 90s when Hendry dominated and was miserable as sin or appeared so, but doing this channel his personality shines through more than it did when ruled the game. Keep up the good work 👏
Whenever I've seen Matt on TV I always thought he was quite a boring character, but I couldn't be more wrong! He's a proper spicy and funny bloke. I wish players were allowed to showcase their personality more on TV without getting fined and banned every 2 seconds. I genuinely think it could be the key to regenerating popularity of snooker in the UK.
I think you're absolutely right! After watching some of these videos I feel I know these players a lot better, and it makes it more attractive to watch them play, also easier to get "invested" in a player when randomly watching snooker.
I really don't like his attitude though, when you hear him talk you'd think he's won at least 10 world titles. Confidence is good but to me it seems more like arrogance.
@@gfdggdfgdgf I get what you mean but I think that makes it all the more interesting. When players are really diplomatic it just comes across as fake anyway, I personally like a bit of needle and spikiness from sports people.
One of the main reasons why snooker is still not as popular is because the players are "cold" (it´s a term used to describe players that do not showcase their personality during a game).
Love how Stephen asks (and talks) about the thought process. When and how are you thinking about those three reds? The discussion that followed gave some great insight in some of snookers brilliant minds.
"Bingham would love that. He'd find the plant." So true 😂😂 Would love to see Stuart play the challenge. he'd probably fluke 70% of the table on his way to a total clearance.
I like how mathematical and no nonsense Matt is. This channel is brilliant, it's done more for the players and snooker than snooker has for itself in years. Really gives the players humanity and character.
Shows what a good sportsman Matt is, he pointed out the accidental plant that had been left and even went as far to ask if Stephen wanted to make it fair. Not sure he would have got so high without the coaching (suggestions from Stephen), but at the same time he might have got even higher - I thought it cut.
Very interesting to see the 'strategy' Stephen. I Like your 'tutorials' ! Could you do a video on the 'hardware': choice of cue & tip - are length and weight a parameter? What diameter of cue tip ? What 'balls' do you recomment ? Is table cloth choice determent on the speed of the balls ? What do you prefer ? Are there other observations to consider ? Many thanks & success ! Kind regards, Filip
hi stephen, i really need your advice , been struggling for years ;( I have always been bending my bridge arm too much , for year, and i have been having alignment issues, can you make a video how straight the bridge arm should be? or doe sit have an impact turning the body or grip elbow going behind head etc. i am pretty sure my alignment has to do something with this issue thank you
When I watch selt in a match, he’s just another guy. Bc of these vids I feel like I know him now and will enjoy watching the “Jewish number 1” a lot more
Absolutely brilliant watching Stephen hendry replacing the black on the table for someone else I think someone has done that for him 5556777 times 😂😂 love the channels
Notice a few comments on here about Selt, he's won nothing and is arrogant... He is obviously a good player only 20 odd players ranked better than him in the world so winner or not he is clearly pretty decent round a table! But if you listen to him he is being a normal guy. He see's the shots in his own way, Stephen see's the shots his way, so Selt queries and Stephen explains and then Selt generally concedes that Hendry is correct. We are looking at 2 stylistic approaches that conflict therefore it would make sense that there is a differing opinion. The best insight in these video's come from questions. I think Hendry mentions 3 times that a glancing shot should be used or a better angle to attack, are you thinking about how to open these reds - to which Selt admirably admits that he is just waiting on the opportunity appearing. That really shows the difference of break building awareness. Even Neil Robertson had to be told by Stephen to think further down the line rather than only care about the next red & colour... Not sure if Selt is my cup of tea or not but he didn't just boring follow Stephen around, he probed back, queried why Stephen would play certain shots and in the process of doing so we all learn a bit more on how to read the table. For that, I am happy for this bloke to be on the channel some more.
I like how Stephen Hendry walks around with the cue even though he's not taking any shots in this challenge 😂
Maybe he should put some white gloves on.😄
And the fact it didn’t cut when he said .
😂love this channel, proper Dad sort of vibe 🤣
lmao
Selt is a funny guy , enjoyed that 🎱👍🏻
He takes that cue with him wherever he goes
