I love that two of the most dominant snooker players ever, who were fierce rivals in late 80s early 90s. Can be so chill now with eachother, they're both so natural infront of the camera great banter nice to see.
Steve is just so funny. Such a nice guy. And I bet he's funny without even knowing it most of the time
I've loved listening to Steve Davis ever since I saw him doing a trick shots exhibition.
Everyone thought Steve was the boring one and jimmy was the happy one however Steve is actually the funny happy one while jimmy is the miserable one most the time.
I had the pleasure of going to a Steve Davis & Jimmy White exhibition match a couple of years ago.
Steve was hilarious, he had a full hour of trickshot-standup act, everyone was laughing their heads off!

Steve was only boring and schoolboy-like in the 1980s cause his manager wanted him to be like that.
There were so much more money in the clean image and selling mass-produced stuff back then, so Steve did that for the millions.
He does not need that image anymore now.

Stephen helped me through depression when I was a teenager! Not directly, but by watching his games and being a huge fan of him. And him being world number 1 for 9 years helped a lot obviously. Now that's a record nobody would even come close to.
Yes, back in the 90's you only needed to be a Hendry, Pete Sampras, Michael Schumacher & Alex Ferguson/ Man Utd. fan & you were sorted.
I had it good aside from the fact I was an LFC fan.
@kommunisticalDid not help. He just wasn't depressed. People don't quite understand what depression is and call depression natural teenage mood swings. Well, like: "now I'm sad, so I'm depressed. And then I watched my favorite show and I got fun. Wow, it turns out that it helped me cope with depression!" But depression is actually a bit more complex than the usual mood swings that any teenager experiences during puberty.

Remembering what a ruthless and almost clinical player you were especially in the 90s I could never have imagined to see this chill and witty side of you, you're a top bloke!
Steve Davis was the player that got me hooked on snooker in the 80's when I was just a 14yr old lad. Living in Sheffield I was walking near the Crucible one Saturday whilst the finals were on and Steve walked past me. I dashed into a shop and bought a notebook & pen and ran after him, he was kind enough to give me his autograph and I thought 'Wow', and I was star struck. From that day I was hooked on the game, so thanks Steve.
I'm a big Steve fan ever since I got Steve Davis Snooker for my ZX Spectrum 48K in 1984.
These two need their own show together. Obviously a snooker orientated show where they both challenge each other to certain shots, interview current and retired players, talk openly and honestly about the current state of the game, recent controversies and they can also spend a day with current players giving us an insight into their typical day and their prep for tournaments. Would be a great show for the proper fans. I’d love it

@H I'll be honest, I don't use chill normally, but it sounded fitting, relaxed or laid back would be better
Steve is so funny but serious point. Even for a 6 time world champion snooker player it shows if you don't play anymore you can't really play.
It just shows how much practice is required to keep playing on a high level.

What I love about Tony Drago is the fact that even when he is not in the room, he provides a moment of hilarity (without forgetting the point that he cleared up the table in that story).

Loving all the videos, the change in pace between tips/interviews/challenges is great fun to watch. All the talk of Big Break is bringing back some awesome memories. I think we've already found our new hosts in Hendry and Davis - got to bring it back chaps!
What I loved about this video is after Steve hits a shot watch Stephen chalk his own cue even tho he knows he’s not hitting a shot

Noticed two interesting things:
1. At 2.17 Hendry says to Steve that he started his tough table with that side red. I watched his back and he started with a red on the middle of the table... Maybe he thought in hindsight that side red would have been better to start with not realising he and Steve went for the same first red after all.
2. At 4.58. Someone commented on another video they found it interesting that Hendry walks around carrying his cue while another player is playing alone for the tough table. But here Hendry himself actually chalks his own cue despite not hitting anything after Steve had potted the first red!
