driving to Walmart count as 1 stop, so for the shop and delivers you'll see 2 stops (1 for the drive to Walmart and 1 for the delivery address). if you do the pick-up and deliver you'll see 3 stops (1 for the drive to Walmart and 2 for the deliveries). Spark started adding the drive to Walmart as 1 stop about 2 months ago.
I find in my area I always get tip baited and in the end it isn't worth a trip. So I don't accept an order unless the base pay is worth it and if I get to keep a tip, it's a bonus!

No need for a video. You will be sent a form 1099 from Walmart. It will show how much pay and tips you received for the year. You will take that number and add it to your gross income. From there you'll do your taxes as normal or have someone do them for you. If you make alot of money where standard deduction don't eat up your gross. You will want to itemize your taxes so that you can claim real expenses plus your standard deduction. But you will be 100% liable for filing taxes. This is why I try and tell people that the 15 dollar order. Isnt really 15 dollars. It's 5. Because you have to put 5 back for tax. And 5 back for operating expenses. That leaves only 5 for salary.

But yes I understand for mileage you have the choice to either claim the 50 something cents per mile the government allows or you can keep receipts if you are actually incurring more cost than that in mileage cost

I drove 30,000 miles last year and deducted like 24,000 off my taxes for mileage.. my real costs would have been like maybe 8,000. so it all depends on how much you drive. that was my only job last year as a business courier which i highly recommend. I was getting about $150-$200 a day for delivering like 10 stops total just from business to business so it was way less city street driving into neighborhoods
on your shopping orders if you hit the arrow on top left of screen you can click another item that's around the same isle to save yourself from running from one end of the store to another multiple times :)
When it say 3 stops that only means your 1st stop is Walmart then the 2nd customer then the 3rd customer .. that’s all you’re only doing 2 drops but they count the Walmart stop as 1 … hope that helps 😊

Do you think that Walmart Spark is shorting all the drivers “distance pay” by them drawing a straight line from Walmart to the delivery location and saying that is the delivery distance? We can not drive to the delivery location in a straight line like an airplane or a drone. We have to drive on the real roads and highways. Wich would add a lot of miles to our jobs that they currently don’t count. What do you guys think???
I have no idea how they figure out miles but it seems now that they count the store as a stop mileage is truer. If they actually add another grocery stop we will see.

There are a lot of orders going out or what is going on is that Uber eats got in the game again and a lot of people are accepting both orders from the apps trying to deliver both at the same time which is jamming out the system. And it seems that everybody wants in on the fast pay and to the point that everyone's got to wait in the parking lot for an over an hour just to get the orders.
Recently there were so many drivers taking on too many orders and Spark cracked down big time. They lowered the base pay I started messing up orders for lower pay and it seems also ubereats was not doing any Walmart orders. All those greedy people should learn a valuable lesson that you really can't f****** be greedy when there are too many drivers having to wait hours for their orders for not being able to get them.

Walmart updated their offer box to add a stop for the Walmart then the actual stop to the customer. It’s confusing, no idea why they thought it would be a great idea but keep that in mind for future orders.

Usually I accept the first order I receive. If you receive multiple orders to choose from at a time, pick the best one. For me it’s literally the first order I receive. In my market it’s only one order at a time. It has worked for me over and over. Walmart sees me delivering and orders come back to back after that first delivery!
Ok the fact that this guy didn't even know the 3 stops include walmart being the first stop. This was changed so that walmart can claim they pay for drivers to get to walmart. That is now part of the pay rate.

That’s a great question! I have entered my second full year of gig work. Each company will provide you with a 1099 before tax season begins. You have the choice of paying your taxes each month or at the end of the year. I chose to try and pay it all at the end of the year. It’s my belief that after your first $600 is when you start to pay taxes. The safe bet is to save 30%, and either pay it now or later. I claimed my milage, car, cell phone bill, and a few other small things. Since I only worked part time, I only grossed about 3500 last year. By claiming so many things, and having a refund from my day job, I did not have to pay any taxes at the end of the year! Save 30% of your income, get a mile tracker such as GigWise, and make sure to claim the things I listed. Make sure your 1099 is sent to your email, and all will turn out just fine! I’ve been struggling with that when they do not have a barcode. If there is a weighing option use that. It is the only way. If there is no weighing option and the barcode will not scan, skip it and move on.
Walmart is partnered with a bank called ONE. They provide a debit card and charge no fees to transfer your earnings to a checking account. Earnings are immediately transferred to your one account as soon as a delivery is complete. Customer tips are also immediately transferred as soon as approved.
Im in Tn and the humidity is crazy. Thats take the first order does work...sometimes. Around here, anything over 5 miles, u may not get back in time or done in time to pick up the next hours order. Congrats to ur family...job, school and new house.

To have extra options on days that it is slow. Put in the time, and I believe you can make just as much, if not way more, than a normal w2 job!!
With gas prices steadily rising and car maintenance i would be hesitant in making these apps my full time only income. A few years ago my answer would have been absolutely. Now the price of everything has skyrocketed. You will need new tires twice a year and oil changes monthly. Full tank of gas daily thats before any other bills you need to pay. Keeping close tabs on your money can help and dont forget 30 percent to the tax man
Today was my first day and I accepted all of them and I got orders popped up right after the other I worked for 3 hours today. I got $41 but it said it takes two or three days for tips to process ? we will see.
In my market I've tried the $200 a day before & it usually done work out, there's been days where I have gotten lucky tho.... It's like there's time periods where orders come in. For Instacart & Spark it's 7am-10am then 2pm-5pm, the 11am-1:30pm lunch period is pretty dead, I might get lucky & get 1. Can't do doordash (which u rarely did) because they deactivated me for not taking a traffic class that's not even due until next month smh & they won't reactivate me. I guess if you get into 2 accidents within 2 years it's mandatory in Florida even tho I wasn't at fault for the accidents
Three good tips to get started. First, except the first incoming order to get your place started within the spark algorithm second start super early in the morning at 7 AM. You’ll be the first to get orders third only take orders bigger than $15 then add up to $1.50 per mile not only will you make more money but you will save your gas for the best orders! You got this!

Walmart is partnered with a bank called ONE. They provide a debit card and charge no fees to transfer your earnings to a checking account.
Earnings are immediately transferred to your one account as soon as a delivery is complete. Customer tips are also immediately transferred as soon as approved.
They always add the walmart location as a stop.
It's the latest update.....the app now counts your pickup at WM as a stop.
They are amazingly doing a great thing to spark driver

Im in Tn and the humidity is crazy. Thats take the first order does work...sometimes. Around here, anything over 5 miles, u may not get back in time or done in time to pick up the next hours order.

@Missippidashing thank you, do you think someone could live off this income alone, i own my house my bills are only like 500 a month? my insurance was just verified I'm in the screening process and they said that will take 7-10 days it's already been 9 days so I'm hoping I start soon.
@@jessajane4656 it’s possible! I want to tell you yes, but not without a bit of hesitation. I would download at least two more apps like doordash and Uber eats to make sure you have backups. To have extra options on days that it is slow. Put in the time, and I believe you can make just as much, if not way more, than a normal w2 job!!
With gas prices steadily rising and car maintenance i would be hesitant in making these apps my full time only income. A few years ago my answer would have been absolutely. Now the price of everything has skyrocketed. You will need new tires twice a year and oil changes monthly. Full tank of gas daily thats before any other bills you need to pay. Keeping close tabs on your money can help and dont forget 30 percent to the tax man

Today was my first day and I accepted all of them and I got orders popped up right after the other I worked for 3 hours today. I got $41 but it said it takes two or three days for tips to process ? we will see.

In my market I've tried the $200 a day before & it usually done work out, there's been days where I have gotten lucky tho.... It's like there's time periods where orders come in. For Instacart & Spark it's 7am-10am then 2pm-5pm, the 11am-1:30pm lunch period is pretty dead, I might get lucky & get 1. Can't do doordash (which u rarely did) because they deactivated me for not taking a traffic class that's not even due until next month smh & they won't reactivate me. I guess if you get into 2 accidents within 2 years it's mandatory in Florida even tho I wasn't at fault for the accidents

Three good tips to get started. First, except the first incoming order to get your place started within the spark algorithm second start super early in the morning at 7 AM. You’ll be the first to get orders third only take orders bigger than $15 then add up to $1.50 per mile not only will you make more money but you will save your gas for the best orders! You got this!

It's nice if I could watch one of these videos by these youtubers that think they know everything about spark and not have them not understand that 1 of the stops is Walmart. You're not shopping for 2 people. You're not dropping off 3 orders. They just added Walmart as a stop which everybody knows if you keep up or pay attention of what's going on.
