I've been doing Spark for 2 years. It paid much more when I first started, especially the shop and deliver orders! I'm near 2 Wal-Mart locations, so I call driver support and find out which store will have the greatest volume of orders, then I work that location. Great way to make money!
I applied for spark on monday aug 21st and was accepted within 2 hours and did my first run today and made $67 in 2 hours. Very easy!! my 2nd order was a shop & deliver and the app stalled and i got paid the base rate and i only shopped for one item and got full pay. walked out, got another order to go to pickup and made the $67 total.
I've been a Nurse 20 years and do this for extra $. I only take the highest paying single deliveries $18-20 each and higher, I make $400 - over 600 per week. It feels like I did nothing its so easy.
I'm in a small market out in the country. I do pretty well every week. It has its country stuff though, like mudding in the Corolla today up a super muddy driveway. I was literally sideways twice but I grew up in the country so thank the Lord and my mama lol I made it. Also in a small town they have incentives quite often.
@@Missippidashing full time. But that could mean 5-8 hrs a day depending on how busy it is. I've been averaging 20-30$ an hr. A lot less miles than Shipt which I did for 4 and 1/2 years. But they began to overhire and become just like the rest of the apps. I work 5 days a week and take Tuesday and Wednesday off.
@@Missippidashing in my little area doordash and Instacart are slow and those are the only other apps here. Doordash is not even worth it with the wait times for orders and low pay and Instacart too many miles for low pay.
@@Missippidashing I'm just watching the zone map of how busy at what time. On days where I can, I start at 7am to get in the algorithm early. I keep my acceptance rate high, it seems to help.
I just finished all the onboarding and I’m on the waitlist, I can’t wait! I hope it doesn’t take long… I live about a half a mile from a Walmart and pretty close to some others and Sam’s. I do Instacart/Shipt/UberEats now but the pay and order availability hasn’t been great lately… I do a lot of UberEats Walmart deliveries too, I’m guessing some overflow from Spark, so I know the protocol and the stickers and all that pretty good. I just wanna start, fingers crossed I’m not waiting forever!!! 🤞🏻
Its good that you are excited to do spark lol. Fyi when u first started, they will send u x10 orders and bangers after bangers. After 2-3 weeks in, you will see a couple of trash orders and have to wait for Round robins. If you don't like the round robin, there is a chance you have to wait another hour for another good one. Also they have some shady customers that like to take their tips back known as "tip baiters".

I'm just starting Spark, and I'm trying to focus more on just looking at the completed trips $ rather than worrying about whether I'm going to get tip-baited. I can't control whether or not a customer takes their tip back, so I'm trying not to be too anxious about it 😅 they can keep coming with those shop and delivers tho 🤑
Tbh my favorite thing about the One card is the Autosave feature. You can set it up so that, when you get your direct payment after each order, it automatically saves a percentage of that payment in a separate account. I have mine set up to take 20% (basically for income taxes), which will make it so easy once tax time comes around. I'll have that little nugget in there and won't have to scrounge up the thousands of dollars I'll owe from being a 1099 worker. Of course, I'll have write-offs, which means I definitely won't owe 20%... so I'll basically be getting a tax refund check like all of my W-2 friends lol

My favorite thing about Spark is being able to jump in and off without losing your spot. My daughter did DD and was a top dasher most of the time but, I hated how she had to schedule times (when she wasn't a top dasher that month) and if something came up and you had to get off for a bit, she would lose her spot for the day.
I actually disagree. The markets are definitely flooded with new drivers, but every quarter more and more people are also using the service. The average dasher works 15 hours a week for doordash. Don’t keep that victim mindset. Get out there and make some money! You can do it!

You should do a video about how low and inconsistent the pay for spark is. Can you afford to be parked on site in Walmarts hotspot for One 7$ delivery? What happened to minimum wage? You pay us no hourly wage. 1 delivery per hour. You think we can afford to take 7$ deliveries? For real? If you complain they will say it is a part of their “algorithm” different factors like size and distance. But “fair driver pay” I noticed is NOT a part of their “algorithms”. The workers inside Walmart make 18$ an hour with full benefits. The spark driver outside would be lucky to make that much. No benefits. More drivers than they have work. Truly not fair. We are completely reliant on tips because Spark doesn’t pay very much.
It's brutal at my closest Walmart. You may sit there for almost an hour waiting for them to bring out orders after your check in time. After 30 minutes I will cancel and then the order comes back up for more money. I hate sitting in a hot car though. I hate waiting. I'm new and lots of the orders are low paying. I'm going to keep trying. Maybe it will get better.
Hey Bud, just stumbled across your channel just now. I just signed-up for Walmart Spark here in Massachusetts. I haven't taken an order yet. But I wanted to tell you I love your attitude in your video. I feel that's how I would be too. I know I'm not going to get rich doing this, and I would multi-app once I get this down, but if I can make an extra $200-$400 a week, along with my full time Monday through Friday day job, I'd be psyched! Getting back to that eight order delivery, was it a pain in the butt really? Also, judging by other you tuber's, scanning those bar codes seems to be the tricky area. Didn't you say in your video the Walmart associate didn't bring the bar scan codes with them? Sounds to me if you didn't scan those bar codes, you'd be screwed. Am I right about that? An 8 order delivery day isn’t soo bad. The earlier you rise the quicker you may finish them. When taking a curbside pickup, as long as you have made sure you have the barcode stickers, you’ll be just fine. I suggest taking that as your first order if you can. Shop and deliver orders aren’t all that bad either. The app will lead you to the eisle and section the product is in before you scan it. There are a few eisle numbers that may be tricky to find, but just stop and ask an employee. Getting started is the hardest part! Afterwords you have a second income at your command. One was a shopping order (which I was really nervous about, first time), and then my second trip was a curbside pickup for 8 stops, and I loved that one. That's the one I preferred doing. IMO, better to grab those orders from other apps before accepting the curbside pick up from Spark. Let's say you accept a DD or Uber at 11:25 AM. You get to the restaurant by 11:30 AM and wait 5 minutes. At the earliest, you drop order off at 11:45 AM, which is your Spark pick up time. Now it takes you 10 minutes to drive to Walmart and you are 10 minutes late. That will affect your metrics.
This is just wrong. Spark gives you a 15 min window to be "on time." So if pickup is 11:45 then youre on time if you check in before 12:00. Also you have to be below 65% on time to be at risk of any penalty or deactivation from Spark. If you dont multi-app while sparking, youre doing it wrong. Period.

I'm new to this so I think I'm needing information on what Curbside, Shop now, and batched order is. Also which one you feel is the easiest and which one is more profitable or worth doing more frequently. I dont really like shopping for customers. I'm not afraid of tasks, but after doing it for a delivery app I used years ago that had me shopping for hard to find items for customers which took time away from other orders I could of made faster money with, I'd like to make sure the labor is worth the time. Or if we even have to do the shop now selection.
Both have their advantages, but I prefer shop now! They are higher in average payout, and don’t take all that long to finish! Curbside pick up averages about $13 to $20 an order. Shop now orders range from $20 to $40!! BUT of coarse there are always exceptions to those rules. Make sure the orders are worth your time, dollar per mile.

it's like .16cents a mile Minimum so if you're taking an order 30 miles away that's $4.8 there and another $4.8 back that you arent even being paid for.
Walmart will guide you through letting you know the isle and section that the item is located in. Then check out is simple. Scan a barcode on the self check out screen. Bag the items, and your set to go!
Really love you videos. Today the accept my application after almost a year. Instead of putting my back account I did the app ONE so the can pay me every day. Do you recommend that?
I definitely recommend the one app! Your base pay for each order will be instantly transferred after every completed trip. Tips however you may have to wait for up to 24hrs, as it is the customers job to approve it. Still much quicker than having to wait for a whole week for the your pay check!
Within the one app there is a savings function!! Set that up! Mine takes $20 every Monday and puts it into that portion of the account! Maybe that’ll help!

We've been seeing some curbside pickup orders here for :15 in addition to :45 at one of our Walmarts. Thankfully they only do that at one supercenter for now, bc I think that's why that store is always running behind 😅

You are correct. My suv gets about 21 miles per gallon. With a full tank, assuming I spend 40 bucks on gas, my profits over the weekend will usually be around $350. Minus the $40 from gas gross before taxes is usually $310 for every full tank.

Curious for those that do Spark. Do people tip after the delivery? I always tip after my delivery is complete. One time, I wasn’t allowed to tip though. Not sure if it was because driver had my order for a while. I think he was like an hour late. I could see him on the opposite side of town after having picked up my order. He spent a good amount of time sitting there, not sure what he was doing. But the option to tip was nowhere to be found.
It may depend on the person. I have seen tips come in after the delivery, but most of the time the tip is given in advance and then the guest has a day to change it .
i was gonna get a tip on my shop & deliver order but the app stalled and quit so they removed my offer, paid me anyways minus the tip. The deliver only offers had no tip mentioned but i don't know if you can tip after delivery. i did impress one lady who had a gate and i texted her and she said no one ever does that, they jsut drop it on the other side of the gate and leave.. she was really appreciative about that. I was a business courier before this so i understand the need to go a bit above sometimes

Guess it depends on the market! The market here dropped a $37 order for 6 miles and then a $15 for 8 miles minutes after! Keep it up and the orders will come!
Very true! New people always get the better orders. Spark is definitely not the same! Orders they offer sometimes are offensive, especially for the mileage on some smh.

Doordash has become quite difficult! I may introduce ubereats soon. It’s the only other common gig app in my area! Have you tried it?

You should do a video about how low and inconsistent the pay for spark is. Can you afford to be parked on site in Walmarts hotspot for One 7$ delivery? What happened to minimum wage? You pay us no hourly wage. 1 delivery per hour. You think we can afford to take 7$ deliveries? For real? If you complain they will say it is a part of their “algorithm” different factors like size and distance. But “fair driver pay” I noticed is NOT a part of their “algorithms”. The workers inside Walmart make 18$ an hour with full benefits. The spark driver outside would be lucky to make that much. No benefits. More drivers than they have work. Truly not fair. We are completely reliant on tips because Spark doesn’t pay very much.

It's brutal at my closest Walmart. You may sit there for almost an hour waiting for them to bring out orders after your check in time. After 30 minutes I will cancel and then the order comes back up for more money. I hate sitting in a hot car though. I hate waiting. I'm new and lots of the orders are low paying. I'm going to keep trying. Maybe it will get better.
Hey Bud, just stumbled across your channel just now. I just signed-up for Walmart Spark here in Massachusetts. I haven't taken an order yet. But I wanted to tell you I love your attitude in your video. I feel that's how I would be too. I know I'm not going to get rich doing this, and I would multi-app once I get this down, but if I can make an extra $200-$400 a week, along with my full time Monday through Friday day job, I'd be psyched! Getting back to that eight order delivery, was it a pain in the butt really? Also, judging by other you tuber's, scanning those bar codes seems to be the tricky area. Didn't you say in your video the Walmart associate didn't bring the bar scan codes with them? Sounds to me if you didn't scan those bar codes, you'd be screwed. Am I right about that? I'm also sort of nervous about accepting my first order. I feel like I'm going to screw up. I'm sure I'm not the only one to think this way. Thank you for your video. - Mike
An 8 order delivery day isn’t soo bad. The earlier you rise the quicker you may finish them. When taking a curbside pickup, as long as you have made sure you have the barcode stickers, you’ll be just fine.
I suggest taking that as your first order if you can. Shop and deliver orders aren’t all that bad either. The app will lead you to the eisle and section the product is in before you scan it. There are a few eisle numbers that may be tricky to find, but just stop and ask an employee.
Getting started is the hardest part! Afterwords you have a second income at your command. Make money when you want to make money!

One was a shopping order (which I was really nervous about, first time), and then my second trip was a curbside pickup for 8 stops, and I loved that one. That's the one I preferred doing. IMO, better to grab those orders from other apps before accepting the curbside pick up from Spark. Let's say you accept a DD or Uber at 11:25 AM. You get to the restaurant by 11:30 AM and wait 5 minutes. At the earliest, you drop order off at 11:45 AM, which is your Spark pick up time.
Now it takes you 10 minutes to drive to Walmart and you are 10 minutes late. That will affect your metrics.
This is just wrong. Spark gives you a 15 min window to be "on time." So if pickup is 11:45 then youre on time if you check in before 12:00. Also you have to be below 65% on time to be at risk of any penalty or deactivation from Spark. If you dont multi-app while sparking, youre doing it wrong. Period.
@@chamomile9 Exactly, I regularly show up 10-15 mins late and my arrival time is 100% on time. The lowest I have seen is 96%. All my apps stay on.

I'm new to this so I think I'm needing information on what Curbside, Shop now, and batched order is. Also which one you feel is the easiest and which one is more profitable or worth doing more frequently. I dont really like shopping for customers. I'm not afraid of tasks, but after doing it for a delivery app I used years ago that had me shopping for hard to find items for customers which took time away from other orders I could of made faster money with, I'd like to make sure the labor is worth the time. Or if we even have to do the shop now selection.
Both have their advantages, but I prefer shop now! They are higher in average payout, and don’t take all that long to finish! Curbside pick up averages about $13 to $20 an order. Shop now orders range from $20 to $40!! BUT of coarse there are always exceptions to those rules. Make sure the orders are worth your time, dollar per mile.

it's like .16cents a mile Minimum so if you're taking an order 30 miles away that's $4.8 there and another $4.8 back that you arent even being paid for.

question for ya, if you go in and pick items from the shelf whats the procedure in store?
Walmart will guide you through letting you know the isle and section that the item is located in. Then check out is simple. Scan a barcode on the self check out screen. Bag the items, and your set to go!

I definitely recommend the one app! Your base pay for each order will be instantly transferred after every completed trip. Tips however you may have to wait for up to 24hrs, as it is the customers job to approve it. Still much quicker than having to wait for a whole week for the your pay check!

We've been seeing some curbside pickup orders here for :15 in addition to :45 at one of our Walmarts. Thankfully they only do that at one supercenter for now, bc I think that's why that store is always running behind 😅

I don’t know if I can speak for any one with that many children. I can say, having two of my own, that putting in a few days a month to have an extra $1000 of income really can be life changing for a lot of people.

You are correct. My suv gets about 21 miles per gallon. With a full tank, assuming I spend 40 bucks on gas, my profits over the weekend will usually be around $350. Minus the $40 from gas gross before taxes is usually $310 for every full tank.

Walmart was paying weekly with the Branch app, but recently they have introduced “one”. The app allows for daily pay. So now your earnings are transferred to your one account after each order is completed instantly.

Curious for those that do Spark. Do people tip after the delivery? I always tip after my delivery is complete.
One time, I wasn’t allowed to tip though. Not sure if it was because driver had my order for a while. I think he was like an hour late. I could see him on the opposite side of town after having picked up my order. He spent a good amount of time sitting there, not sure what he was doing. But the option to tip was nowhere to be found.
It may depend on the person. I have seen tips come in after the delivery, but most of the time the tip is given in advance and then the guest has a day to change it .

i was gonna get a tip on my shop & deliver order but the app stalled and quit so they removed my offer, paid me anyways minus the tip. The deliver only offers had no tip mentioned but i don't know if you can tip after delivery. i did impress one lady who had a gate and i texted her and she said no one ever does that, they jsut drop it on the other side of the gate and leave.. she was really appreciative about that. I was a business courier before this so i understand the need to go a bit above sometimes

Guess it depends on the market! The market here dropped a $37 order for 6 miles and then a $15 for 8 miles minutes after! Keep it up and the orders will come!
