Wm is growing their fleet and are seeking 500+ drivers as we speak. Im a supplier for wm and speak to their drivers all day, every day. They just lowered the minimum requirements and you can stay local. Also, if your working for wm currently, they have a warehouse to driver program where they will pay your schooling. Here in california, they each make well over 80k for local routes and 100k+ for otr

Yes Walmart is a great job to get. Get your cdl and grab a job from them. Fuel. Always a place to park eat etc. insurance is great. There are bunches of great trucking companies. I actually am in the interview process. Fingers crossed!! Starting is 82-86 thousands.

A guy recently passed away over here at my job, and they were nice enough to him on the company website for a week as a condolence, but the Time Away is all I think about I missed funerals and special events, Top it off some of these delivery locations dont even want you to sleep on there property. Good thing: Bill's can be paid

Worked at walmart on 3rd shift for 2 and half years drivers were almost always late some would help unload but most would be gone or on the phone with boyfriends or girlfriends a lot of them were on drugs and/or sold drugs but they did say its good pay and extremely easy work as long as you dont fall asleep but most would quit or get fired within a couple months so they always needed drivers for immediate hire even have their own cdl classes if you work full time at walmart and have benefits
I don't think you guys that don't truck drive for a living know what it's like to drive 2200 + miles every week. It's stressful and exhausting just staring at the road dodging psycho drivers road construction zones pedestrians etc. You're working very long hours every day sometimes as long as 14 hours in most companies only give you a 34-hour reset which is less than a day and a half break. You don't even get a full two days off on the weekend and then you have to get right back on the road and do it all over again. Your life is driving that damn truck, so you better really love truck driving and being by yourself day after day after day. $108.000 sounds like a lot of money but you're dealing with everything I mentioned above. You don't really get to enjoy all that money you're making because you don't have much time off. Basically you truck until you drop or quit.

My bro in law makes north of 100K by a fair amount. I was on track to apply for Walmart by around March of this year, but during 2023 a broken spine, no health insurance/company dropped me, and "not qualifying for medical assistance" all got in the way of that. Hopefully it'll hold up this time though.
If you own a home that's not leaking or moldy, have more than enough for bills, food & have some savings at even 25k . & have vacation money put away aside from the savings & have good health insurance then you are a millionaire bud...

Truckers salary hasn't gone up in years. I knew someone who earned that as a trucker in the 1980s and it's still the same today. It's a good salary but inflation as gone up. They should make $150,000.

I wouldn’t recommend it, there’s 168 hours in a week, OTR gets paid for 70 hours because it’s the law, you can’t work anymore past that and the rest you stay with the truck for free, local you get paid the same and home daily and and weekends, OTR needs to get paid more, the best way to do OTR is as an owner operator with your own authority and flatbed right now is paying the most last time I checked and if you own the flatbed too, well you are golden there. But either way local is about the same Company or Owner

Walmart is really picky with their drivers. You basically need 3 years of experience with a spotless driving record. Most drivers don't qualify.

Why do you think mostly Walmart drivers are 15-20 years seniority drivers an average at each Walmart DC? At every Walmart DC you’ll see drivers who start in 1980s. Yes you make $108.000 and by 4 or 5th year you’ll be roughly $125-128K a year
Truck Drivers almost always make bank
Stay in school
Thats 27 bucks an hour
For you kids/ also driving a tractor trailer has lots of pitfalls
A. Its dangerous
B.the pay does not get you a glamorous life
C. Down time wich costs you
Remember its by the mile
If you are loaded incorrectly
The product shifts
Snow
Sleet
Tires
Et . Etc. Etc
These guys should make way more
But walmart doesnt pay even adequate for him.
Dont forget after 20 to 30yrs
Your kidneys/ spine is compressed/ road food
Your health will tank.

Walmart is known for being extremely strict on drivers that's why they they pay that amount,but not everyone makes it there!! They have zero tolerance!!
It sounds like a lot of money but it’s not. After all they go through a lot shit out there…. Trying to find a place to park for the night…. Probably 20-30 days out…. Away from their family….I personally don’t think it worth it!!! I’m a truck driver too!!!
