congratulation for this transmitter !!!! SO GREAT
Can i simultaneously see my buddy’s AI info?
What's the AI portion of this? Just confused as to how this is better than the current Shearwater transmitter
Hi. Thank you for your comment. The active interference avoidance system in the Swift allows multiple transmitters to work side-by-side without signal interference. It will modify its transmission interval to avoid signal interference with these legacy transmitters. Legacy transmitters cannot actively avoid interference with each other or with the Swift. With the Swift, more transmitters can be used closer together without loss of communications. It's also smaller than legacy transmitters making it unlikely to be mistaken for a tank valve knob. You can learn more about it here - www.shearwater.com/support/swift/ in the FAQs under the manual links.
@@ShearwaterResearch So are you recommending all divers, even ones that only use a single cylinder setup upgrade? Is interference an issue with other divers or other brand transmitters, or are we talking about in multiple gas situations? Thanks
@@PTG847 if you already own a transmitter, don't worry about it. If you're buying a new one, just get the latest. They're all about the same price anyway.
Any idea of range of transmitter?
Range is approximately 3ft (1m). RF signals can be impacted by objects, so it’s best to put the transmitter on the same side of your body as the receiving dive computer.
