    Man those who are starting college watching this kind of content are so lucky, one of the “bad sides” to watching these kinds of videos is that you realize you were never “dumb” or “not talented” enough you just didn’t have the right roadmap the right information, the right teacher to guide the decisions you make.

    as a senior dev heres some advice: noone is hiring under 5 years of experience anymore. work on projects of the field you actually want to work in and maybe if you can profit from it, with a lot of leetcode and system design you might pass an interview. also don't trust these youtubers who dropped out of their free 2018 faang internship who claim you can do bootcamp and get a job in months. the reality: within 24 hours there are 600 other applicants with bachelors/masters degrees and 10 years of experience. you have to be able to compete and profit even if you're "entry level".
    also, you won't be able to get a job if you only invest your time in leetcode. you have to build things.

    im 21yo, in my 3rd year of bachelors(cse) and ngl since i started getting serious about career and what to do , i realised that people of my age have done so much already that im late and regret those 2 years of wasting time doing nothing with an average gpa , makes me feel demotivated but i try to counter that feeling by making myself believe that its never too late and 1 year can change a lot and i already started being dedicated , religiously learning , building stuffs , cut off useless scrolling time on social media and made a routine
    Im not confident enough to get an internship at microsoft and other big techs due to lack of skills but im gonna aim for it next year with a strong resume . 1 year ,12 months , 52 weeks , 365 days, each day making the most out of it .

    hey aman,
    i am international high school senior from india. I recently got into Georgia Tech for CS and the cost for 4 years would be 200k USD. I also got into University of Texas at Dallas (UTDallas) for CS and I got a scholarship there. So at UTD my cost for 4 years is 50k USD.
    So do you think I should spend extra 150k USD and get a Georgia Tech CS Degree as it is a brand or should I save money and go to UT Dallas.

    • @AmanManazir
      @AmanManazir  Месяц назад +2

      Thanks for the question! It depends on how much money you have. I lean towards picking Georgia Tech and grinding as hard as possible - put your entire life into CS + software engineering and within 3-5 years you'll earn the difference back. The name-brand does matter and more importantly Georgia Tech will be very competitive and will motivate you to do much more. Good luck.

    • @AmanManazir
