dweezil worthy son of Frank has been making Frank's best on stage, since 2006. young students are in good hands. in more than one way dweezil is a nice guy
That tenor sax player on the far right(Peyton M.) has a VERY bright future. I'd love to see him out on tour with Dweezil. His feel and timing are spot on and it hits the ear like an amazing musical drug. Wow...

So great watching these young'uns, many of whom weren't around during FZ's time performing his work. Four guitars reading solos during Zomby Woof. It gets no better than that!
Outside Now with Ike Willis is one of my favorite things on the planet. I'm flying out to San Fran this month just to see him perform with The Stinkfoot Orchestra. By far my favorite Zappa alum of all time. Soooooooo good.
I just saw this for the first time and I am in tears, aside from how much I miss live music, and how much I love Zappa, These kids are AMAZING! Much Respect!!!
Frank lives on great show and thanks from a Zappa fan I heard the lp mother mania 38 years ago and that was it his music keeps me going my late night favourite listen is yo mama
Kudos, too, to the tech crew. The mix & recording quality are perfect! Lighting looks great! It makes it easy for these young ppl to focus on their fine performance!
Such an enjoyable concert with these incredibly talented musicians some of whom weren't even born when FZ died in 1993 .But the original and seriously made music lives on forever ,l personally appreciate the Black Napkin suite in which the musicians and especially Dweezil Zappa show their musicianship and talents .Thank you for posting this video.
Frank said its not important to be remembered. Maybe. However his music will be remembered for a long time. The Dweez and folks like those guys are gonna make sure of that.Great stuff. Music is the best.
What a great legacy for Franks music that these young muscians have embraced his work. Kudos to the Music Prof for leading these young folks and keeping this music alive.
Wow what a Fantastic Show ! TYVM 4 post ! she's got a unbelievable (lady in Red)great voice ! ive seen them before but obviously they keep working at there craft ! Superbly Done Zappa. This is one the Best things i have seen in yrs !You guys are amazing , Aunty does a Better Willie The Pimp than Beefheart did she fantastic as well
I'm teary-eyed to witness these young people performing Zappa's music with great skill! Thank you for treating Zappa's music so professionally, so respectfully. FZ would be very impressed & appreciative!
So much joy, happyness ! What a a great team dedicated to music PURE PLEASURE ! Thank you a million times for keeping this musical Unirverse alive in a good health , the band smiles is a wonderfull gift
I attended the performance the night before this was recorded with my son and 9 year old grandson. Ike Willis wasn't at our performance, c'est la vie. All the musicians are credited at the end of this video. Sean Luscombe, the guest guitarist that traded licks with Dweezil on "Whipping Post" is actually an alumnus that played in the ensemble in previous years. I bow deeply to Trevor Veilleux the music director for introducing FZ'z music to the next generation.
That vocalist in Red i (Sorry don't know her name) Amazing has she continued with singing? i can only imagine what she can do with that voice in the future , i would like to follow her career if it stays/stayed in music ?
So good to see *young* people invest time and their enthusiasm to learn and perform Frank's music. I believe they have a sense for an even deeper meaning of their activity .... that may be that playing Frank's music will benefit them big time in other ways ... I'm sure it does
What an amazing show and thank you for posting on your channel. I have watched / listened to this easily 6 or 7 times in the past few weeks. Can't wait to see more!
This is excellent.. I MEAN REALLY STELLAR PLAYING AND MUSICIANSHIP SO MUCH TO LEARN AMAZING EXPERIENCE FOR US THANK YOU THIS MUSIC DEPT IS AWESOME AND SO PROUD OF DWEEZIL..
Wonderful! This is amazing how this orchestra, together and with its soloists, has taken my heart and made me enjoy Frank's music again. I admired Dweezil's support, enjoyed Ike's voice again... and the show altogether. This is so nice to hear. I hope COVID wipes away, and I'll have the opportunity to catch them in Germany ... still a long way from here, but much closer than Hawaii... Great, great, great. Violin and guitar duo - (though different songs), the first reflection was the duo of Steve Vai and FZ, a great memory, too. Why so few people listen to this? Talented musicians, "higher education", great songs, what else do people need?
Love this post on so many levels. Especially when you said "why so few people listen to this?" Exactly my thoughts too. As a musician/teacher I'm trying to turn as many people to the great musicians of times passed. Whether its Bach/Stravinsky/Zappa it matters not.... But Dweezil deserves so much respect for flying the flag, and these students will remember this forever.
Fuck, that was good. I mean, they were just high school kids a few years back (for the most part) and they kicked ass! Jeez that's great to see! All the best in your futures!
The girl in red (Dang!) nailed Ike, the blonde nailed Moon Unit, Dweezil nailed Frank, the whole band nailed Zombie Wolf (including guitars: blue, white, and reddish), and the blonde guitarist nailed Dweezil. Hitting the high notes on Montana! The violin nailing Sugar Cane. I guess it is more likely to see that show in Hawaii than to expect it to come to the mainland. I should have known better than to have this on while working; y'all slowing me all the way down. Y'all going to be Zappa's band when he returns; he always wanted an orchestra. I would love to have a list of the performers and the instruments they play; I'll be looking for them. Hooked from the first song. Again. And again. The flutist and sax on Black Napkins. Lead vocal on Joe's Garage (love the vibe), the violinist (Elizabeth Sekona Robinson - to whom I am listening on a podcast this moment) stepped up on Hot Rats. and again, over a year later, Mayumi? The blue FU on Zombie Wolf, the teacher subbing for Vai on the white one. The blue guitar on WDIHWIP, Outside Now tearing up. Mayumi hitting the low notes on FP. The blonde guitar (who I've seen elsewhere) bangs it out on Andy and Montana.
Information is not knowledge. Knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is not truth. Truth is not beauty. Beauty is not love. Love is not music. Music is THE BEST.

This is great! The only live tribute performance on this same level is that by the Fendertones covering the Beach Boys. Good Vibrations, California Girls...
Can’t stop playing the black napkin over and over and over and over again
It always brings a tear to my eye watching the younger generations play Frank's music so well. Thanks everyone.
I am glad I have lived long enough to see Zappa get the recognition he's so richly deserves.
dweezil worthy son of Frank has been making Frank's best on stage, since 2006. young students are in good hands. in more than one way dweezil is a nice guy

Frank would've said, " mm, that was kinda ok"
Dweezil just nails that sonic element his ol man utilised so well in his solos! Just magical 🙏🕉
Frank lives on great show and thanks from a Zappa fan I heard the lp mother mania 38 years ago and that was it his music keeps me going my late night favourite listen is yo mama
WOW, what a great show! Very glad Dweezil & Ike played with you all. Keep up playing all the great music Frank had left us all to enjoy.
Jaw to the floor awesome. Frank is alive and kicking ass. Great band and honored by the Dweeb and Ike Willis. 😀🙏

Brilliant band, and that beautiful violinist gave an insane solo during Willie the Pimp! Wow, it gave me such a rush. Bravo!!
This is wonderful stuff, particularly the killer arrangement of Black Napkins. Bravo.

Mais c'est terrible ! Complètement magique
Dweezil plays the Gibson Roxy, an exact copy of the guitar his father Frank used, and I must say he plays it well.
I'm gonna have to go out and buy me some "fuck you' suspenders!!! Holy shit!!! I hope it improves my riffs, too.
