SpectacularName Well... the New Gen should hold everything, so they made it with their butts... and then New Gen wasn't that great at all, and everything went downhill becus Ubi didn't wanted to delay the Game Launch and then they ported it to PC with their buttholes... Then they patched it and it is finally playable :D
I replayed the mission where you kill lenny (was that his name tho? the son of that texan dude in a white suit) more than 20 times. so yeah, there was that.
Or maybe it plays when you go into rage mode or something, imagine that music playing whilst you're mowing down loads of guys in slow-mo with your silverballers
Same in blood money i took my time i mean i would stand in 1 spot for 30 mins so the guard would come back then i kill him and u can not shot ur way though blood mmoney its so good and hard on easy this one u can run through and shot it wayto easy
Absolution was my first Hitman game. After beating it, I decided to pick up Hitman: Contracts from a store and found that Absolution was pretty damn merciful compared to its predecessors. Just bought Codename 47 and Silent Assassin and hopefully I'll play Blood Money last to see if it really is as good as people say it is. There were some really cool levels in Absolution, but Contracts gave me a bigger sense of satisfaction once I completed its huge levels. Favorite Absolution Levels: Death Factory, Shaving Lenny and Operation Sledgehammer. Favorite Contracts Levels: Traditions of the Trade, The Seafood Massacre, Deadly Cargo and Slaying a Dragon.
whilst i agree that blood money is the best of the franchise at least in a lot of peoples opinion including my own. i still thought absolution was a decent addition to the franchise. bear in mind that they have to both please the old audience and attract a new audience to the game. i think they did a good job, the game was successful and another 47 game will be coming. unlike the thief reboot which i actually thought was ok but the game flopped and i cant see the game coming back to the light after that. but absolution was very decent
You are correct on the Attracting a new audience part. I'm someone who was introduced to the series through Absolution. I think it's a good game, and it got me interested in the series.
BlackTop personally I disagree. the hitman franchise hasn't had an instalment since 2004. and it was 2012 at the time of this release. its bound not to please everybody. of course the developers have to keep up with the times. try and keep the franchise true to its roots but still add new innovations so everybody can play. I think they did a damn good job. if this was a spin off it would of gained no attention what so ever. and 47 is the reason we all wanted to play this game right? they could have left the franchise dead at blood money and whilst some fans may like it that way. I personally am happy that the series continued into the new generation. hitman is one of the few stealth games I really love and enjoy along with splinter cell and metal gear solid. and the recent splinter cells are becoming too mainstream and action oriented where as hitman still has a focus on stealth at heart. and because of absolution the franchise is not dead and a new hitman game is being developed right now with the classic open sandbox levels we all love to explore and figure out for ourselves. but you know some modern gamers do not like to think for themselves when it comes to gaming. people like linear, straight forward, follow the yellow brick road all the way along games. and sadly that is the majority of gaming audience today which is why these developers simplify all of their games as the generation goes on because at the end of the day it is all about money. and I understand that, and as much as we want it to change we have to face facts and move along with the times and accept it. Just look at the game for what it is instead of comparing it to the nostalgic times we once had with the older editions of the franchise. It is still a good game :P
Don't get me started on that gun store level. It's so fun picking up a random gun, going to the shooting range, then executing a massacre from there. So...so fun.
The sandbox level design of blood money and the Hitman episodes has way more replay value... don't listen to Joe's non-point there. Small cramped levels with terrible balancing on its difficulty levels and gameplay mechanics couple with zero pre-planning (no map, no weapon selection, no manual saves) has gotten little replay from me except maybe in Contracts mode.
Whenever I play that first level, I hate myself for killing that guy who just got a call from his doctor, it feels wrong, even for a guy who doesn't feel guilt (normally)
James Roplle lol, he would sneak into his workshop and smash his hook blade so he'd die trying to climb or preak the poison tubes in his hidden blades and switch the position of the blades so he'd stab his own veins and the poison would enter his system, hitman would have killed him before ezio even knew he was a target
+John Gunter it was a rubber duck and belive it or not its an easter egg in the game, because that same rubber duck is featured in every singe hitman game since year 2000.
the definition of assasin is stealth and cold killer ezio and all the other AC "assasins" kill in plain sight and run killing a shit ton of guards or soldoiers along the way when 47 kills the enviroment is always untouched and every one with it
That's a bit harder to pull of in 15th century Rome. Especially when you don't have... well... you know... guns, explosives, gasoline, electricity, strip clubs with two way mirrors, fire extinguishers, etc.
So I only remember playing one of the Hitman games on PS(2?), but I barely remember it. If they're all pretty decent do you think I should just get the Hitman Collection? I found that for about $15, so it seems like a lot of good games for the price.
Who's a better assasin, Ezio or Agent 47? To me, Agent 47, nice and quiet, disguises, pretty much in and out with nobody knowing he was there in the first place.
To be fair Ezio is a assassin that was trained to fight multiple guards to reach his target and he doesn't have the advanced weaponry advantage. But he can hide in plain sight and hide from just about anyone in his bright white outfit. 47 is a modern assassin who can't hide in plain, especially if a guard gets a little to curious. But skill-wise 47's better. Personality-wise Ezio takes the cake.
+Dante Moore (Dantaine Remastered) Agent 47 is a geneticly modified clone, made to be "the perfect killer" nothing can compete with him... Its like matching a normal hitman to the winter soldier.
I just couldn't take this game's story seriously. I've gone from assassinating Russian Generals, military officials and Japanese hackers in a stylish, posh and incredibility high class game to hitting drugged up, half pissed trash on the head with a hammer. Hitman used to have class.
James Carmichael agreed...hated this game.First hitman that I never finished and I played them all .Never bothered with the one after that. This franchise is dead to me now.
IGN, Angry Joe, Gamespot...I check these sometimes for their opinions on games. But, I have found that the best reviewer will always be myself. (No disrespect to the mentioned)
I love his content, I always will. Its just right now its good. When back in the day it was god level. Im more than happy. Just gotta recognise his greatness, respect his prime without disgracing his current level.
The first Hitman game i never finished... You had to basically hide all the time, it felt like you were just the hunted and they were the hunters when it should've been the other way around.
***** They help with gripping the bar for some people. I use them for pull ups and deadlifts. It's so you don't tear the fuck out of your palms, I guess.
Wow, Joe's so happy and in my eyes this game is... passable, but not 47's standarts. No fuck they're making new Hitman closer to the origianl with huge levels, contracts and no emotional shit from 47.
+Mafon2 But you can deny that 47 has emotions, that the main difference between him and the other clones, this is not the first time he felt remorse, have you played Hitman 2?
The Russian Medic Man I literaly wrote book on Hitman. 47 was always the odd one, the outcast, but in Absolution he's too human, may be it's time. The problem is with the structure of missions which don't feel like "Hitman" and cover mechanics,
Oh my goodness, Joe, I absolutely LOVE the way you theme your reviews around the games in question. The skits and costumes and references are AMAZING. Keep up the good work
cap. iceedi Which one ezio or agent 47?? I guess if ezio had the apple of eden he could just mind control 47 but if he didnt ezio would be screwed. Which saddens me cause i like ezio more than 47 but thats just me
The Algerian Not really, Hitman is about hiding in plain sight and finding creative ways to eliminate your targets, whereas Splinter Cell is all about staying unseen altogether. Also, Sam is not an assassin and has a shitload of tech at his disposal, and Agent 47 has to make do with pistols and fiber wire. I get that Absolution is a lot different from the other games in the series, but it really isn't anything like Splinter Cell. At all.
Elf Monster Not sure how useful the first paragraph of your reply is, I've probably been playing Hitman games far longer than you have. And agree to disagree, Absolution is no Hitman game to me. A lot closer to splinter cell.
I've always wondered as to why Agent's 47's enemies failed to realize that the agency only employs people with bald heads and a liking for sharp suits. How difficult can it be to identify an enemy that is always bald and has a barcode on the back of his head?
Asgard314 Are you really telling me that you have bought into the nonsensical conceit that organized criminals are not aware that famed anti crime agency employs exclusively bald agents and they each have a barcode on the back of their heads? Often the criminals that The Agency pursues, control an entire part of town. Have you ever questioned - why The Agency's operatives are not immediately identified considering he is bald and wears a sharp suit?
Plipo Gamez Really I was making a joke, but for the Hell of it: I have, but then I thought about it. Before Absolution, people in the Hitman universe rarely knew who or what 47 was. Yes he looked suspicious, but if the Agency is really as good as they're rumored to be, then no one would know he was there. The guards would just have a messed up description, the target would be dead, and in all likelihood only a few people would have seen the Hitman. Therefore, most people who see him would probably just think that a Hitman is just some angry dude with a tattoo. But, like I said before, I'm half joking.
Do you suppose that accomplished organized criminals control a whole town and they do not intimidate and bribe people enough to a point where all strange and unusual activities are reported back to them? I have played some of Hitman and most of Hitman 2 but it is baffling as to how a bald man with a barcode on the back of his head, enters town wearing a sharp suit (which he also does) and his present is never reported to the people that control the area by using intimidation. No organization can keep there presence secret. This has been demonstrated by the amount we know about real work security services. Hitman is fun but the jarring at times considering the appearance and behaviour of agent 47.
"47, new objectives: Evade Police, Find Evidence, Find your Silver ballers (twice), get knocked out by a wrestler, sheriff and a hooker. No maps, No player saves, only QTE. Goodluck, 47"
Best stealth franchises in my opinion: 1. Metal Gear Solid (every single one of the games in this franchise are winners) 2.Splinter cell (before conviction are the best sc chaos theory being the best stealth game ever created) 3. Hitman (hitman blood money was the best) 4. Thief (the old games are superb, the new game is garbage)
***** like the hiding in the boxes and moving around and having soldiers spot you but not think twice about it and the whole " ! " system when you're spotted, still great games though
I'll never understand why people hate Hitman Absolution so much. Blood Money, Contracts, Silent Assassin all had the most awkward controls ever developed for a video game. It's hard as hell to sneak up on someone, the timing will 9 times out of 10 will always be off when you decide you want to take someone from behind. The graphics never improved all that much with each sequel. Sure Absolution was a lot smaller of a scale, and a little less challenging. At least the controls to move around weren't so backwards that they were frustrating. Also the disguises were more challenging.
I played Blood Money on console and PC and never had any problems with movement or sneaking, sure its a bit more smoother and if you happened to fail at those, its a bigger picture than that. Absolution is a decent game, but it was not that sandbox as the old ones were and no upgrading weapons and equipment, Absolution was just not as satisfying as the old ones were.
DutchPool Well yeah it's not impossible, it's just uncomfortably precise. Where Absolution managed to make more of a natural split second decision. I played Blood Money, the thing that Absolution lacks in comparison is the puzzling challenge aspect of navigating. Once you figure out the singular pathway through some Absolution missions, it's not difficult to repeat. In Blood Money it's harder even if you're making the right decisions.
I've been a somewhat casual fan of the games since the very first, and I say that because I always thought that they had a great concept and ideas, but they always fell a bit flat. Blood Money came so close to being what I always wanted Hitman to be, but it still had those awkward controls, incredibly questionable disguise mechanics and a general lack of polish that all of the games suffered from. They always felt like indie games, and Silent Assassin was and still is so incredibly buggy and inconsistent that I consider it unfinished to this day. Absolution is a mixed bag, but for different reasons..it fixed absolutely all of the problems I had with the controls, the presentation, and disguises either being ridiculously overpowered or entirely useless (I actually think they're handled the best in Absolution)..but it also failed to capitalize on what Blood Money is famous for, and rightfully so: Gigantic, open maps with countless methods to get around and take out your target. Absolution attempts this about half of the time, but fails because the maps are just too small. Overall, I like the game, but if there's ever a sequel to this, I really want them to take all of the improvements they made and bring back the big maps. I honestly think we'd have a perfect Hitman game if they did this. Also, the Contracts game mode is, IMO, utter genius and definitely needs to be expanded upon. Being able to create and share our own custom variations of the missions is the coolest feature of Absolution.
Glad to see someone had said something good about this game. I love this game still and I think it is actually my favorite hitman game out of all of them. I don't know if I'm alone, but I think this game looks, plays, and runs like butter compared to the newer hitman reboot. I still love this game in 2020. I never get any framedrops.
Honestly, I don’t even find hitman 2016 fun. Game just plays like a checklist and it’s monotonous to wait for the level ‘script’ to play out. Enjoyed absolution way more.
@@BlackangelKatakuri Well I absolutely adore the gameplay loop of the newer Hitman trilogy I can't get enough of it. It really feels like the true successor to Hitman Blood money.
Just bought Blood Money on Steam. Absolution was my first Hitman game. Lemme just go ahead and say, Absolution is NOT a good introduction to the series. I wish Blood Money had been my first Hitman game, holy shit it's amazing.
+Bhavin Patel i played all the older hitman games on ps2, they were my introduction to the series and i enjoyed them all, but i still think absolution is good.
0:00.; This was my late grandmother's favorite Christian hymn playing... It's one of mine, as well because of her--besides coming from a Christian house-hold & being raised as a Christian. Christina England Hale's rendition of 'Ave Maria' is the best, in my opinion.
"He experiences guilt for the first time." Ah, the lack of people who played Silent Assassin sadden me. That game has a fantastic story going on in the background, memorable levels and fun weapons, and it begins with 47 confessing his sins to a priest he spends the rest of the game doing the exact thing he hates doing to get him back, killing. Absolution is a very fun game, but I really disliked Instinct and the piss poor stealth mechanics.
proatsmallarms Not arguing, but that is a feature. Just as an example, it's like saying if in one game you can pee, and in another you cant, then the one who cant would be called inhumane. Ah, Sorry for not having a better example. Hopefully ya get what I mean though...
I love stealth gameplay. I don't understand why more stealth games aren't made. I hate First person shooters. Someone needs to do a next gen version of the Syphon Filter series.
Hardcore Hitman fan here: Still glad I never bought it. Terrible mission design but, yes, some minor aspects were improved. I still can't see past the gutted core mechanics, though. I might pick it up when it gets down around $5 on Steam but I'm not paying a real amount of money unless I get a real Hitman game.
You missed out great game and I'm a Hitman fan since SA. It's better, and I can't go back to the old ones anymore, things will improve in the next ones, but there are levels a lot like old Hitman games like Shaving Lenny. Took me 3 hours to get SA on that lol.
TechnAmateur That is the classic name of a cheat program that adds computer assisted targeting to a game. Wall hack removes draw occlusion for character models so you can see them through the environment. docs.unity3d.com/Manual/OcclusionCulling.html These are now included in many games, presumably to help low skill players win in single player.
CaleyMcKibbin Thanks for the info...and that freakin' sucks, I don't even like aim-assistance. Devs rly have gone soft to broaden their fanbases. #Shame
RavagerStickman It really depends on how you define "the best" because I hated blood money too, BUT peoples problem with Absolution was that it was in no way true to the Hitman franchise. Its the newer Hitman players who enjoy absolution and blood money is enjoyed by the more old school players^^ Also the new Hitman game is like the best of both worlds from the two games. I promise you its ten times better than absolution.
I happen to be one of the older players. What was in absolution I liked. The thing is it did not feel like a hitman game. It did not even look like one. My personal favorite of the series was hitman 2. Absolution just to dark. The city is ugly, decrepit, and is overly dark and edgy for a hitman game. Most of the environments are also to small. In older hitman titles you could go in and take your target out in a variety of ways. Just so long as you got the target killed. I personaly do not like absolution because of the fact of a score system, and no weapon planning. No equipment to use, other than randomized pieces of bullshit given to you. The game forces so many things down older players throats it does not feel like the old game. So why do you hate blood money? Is it because it is old kind of thing, or a graphics kind of thing. Most people I ask will mostly say an answer that fits those two questions.
Nice gloves Joe. How many takes did it take to hold hat face for so long? Good job because I would have a hard time with it. I haven't played AC or Hitman games but I love that Hitman pushes you to only kill your targets. It may have been the fault of the player (sometimes it was for sure) but it looked like in AC 2 that Ezio kills a lot of guards just doing their jobs. So agent 47 is the better assassin. 15:34. You're a bad guy.
***** Pretty much the gist of what I was getting at. There is also the fact that Ryse is a next gen game, and yet has dumbed down gameplay. And yes, QTEs are not a bad thing. In Metal Gear Rising Revengance, there are QTEs in most boss fights, but they are at the climax of the action and hit when the music gets to it's most intense moment.
Sawed Off Laser I don't think Ryse dumbed down on it's combat. After all, it's a hack and slash game. I rather liked that the QTE's gave you bonus health, focus, damage and such that you're free to switch whenever you want.
+Tezla Alchemia I never found the katana, and I didn't want to look it up on google cuz that would feel like cheating but I could never find that damned katana :'(
I don't agree there's levels a lot like old Hitman games. And it's harder to get SA rank then older games. I love the older games but they are a clunky mess today. The next one can be improved on this one which is already a great game. 8/10 from me.
Oh yea, what a polished masterpiece, guards spotting you if you don't motorboat a wall, psychic guards that can smell 47 from miles and a story that feels like a damn parody. Facts: -SA2 had superior disguise system -BM had way superior gameplay -A was way too inspired by splinter cell and Kane and Lynch If the next game is a rehash of this travesty, HItman will die.
***** Polish? eehhhhh. I don't know if you tried difficulties including and above hard, but the additional enemies there simply break the stealth system in several levels (namely blackwater park and up), forcing you down paths and using instinct, which means you have to dispose of guards to replenish it. You can enjoy the story, but it is still objectively stupid. Namely the way it relies on most of its characters being idiots and 47 and Diana acting out of character. What i list as facts is what I deeply believe are facts: bm was just more fun, ergo better gameplay, and the game clearly WAS inspired by splinter cell, it looks and plays a lot like one. Heck, the devs lately released a statement thet they are trying to make the next game more like blood money, whoch essentially means "sorry, we fucked up".
***** Well, if you are willing to accept all that, what can I say to that without being a giant douche? Let's just agree to disagree, maybe the next Hitman will be better.
Imagine a game as big and open like GTA, while you are an assassin/hit man who can take on contracts to earn money, buy houses, weapons, armor, just the thought of a game as big and open like that is fucking awesome.
Is it really a big deal that the previous Hitman games have big maps and won't "forgive" little screw ups from you? You had the option to save the game at any point in a level so that you could execute a well thought plan and afford to take risks sometimes. Also, if you played chess or any other board game like that you would understand that you do lose a game by a little screw up in the middle. It's rather harsh to understand but it's a natural consequence for screwing up, just like in life.
I was worried that Square Enix would ruin this series just like they did with the Final Fantasy series but honestly I am very impressed with them. This game is badass and it has some features that the previous hitman games didn't have such as a intelligent and life-like AI that interacts with you. The old hitman games, you were automatically shot on sight if your cover was blown, in this one you can fake surrender and take their gun because realistically police officers/guards will try to arrest you before shooting you. Awesome game, I rate it at a 10/10.
0:48 "Oh, it is so good to see an old friend return." Spoken like a true fan of the series, and a true gamer. Excellent review! Hitman 2 was my personal favorite of the series.
I'm sorry but compared to blood money this game is shit! I would rather assassinate myself instead of seeing another Hit man game like this one!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry but as much as I can appreciate the better graphics and smoother gameplay mechanics the linear levels, the annoying scoring system, the shitty stylized and grungy "cinematic" story where they insist on making 47 a anti hero complete with saving and protecting jail bait in a school uniform ruined the franchise for me...I mean I replayed the other games over and over again trying different approaches like just going psycho serial killer and seeing how many people I could off without getting caught, never using the same weapon, disguise or tactic twice, going guns blazing or only using the environmental objects etc...but this game I couldn't even be bothered to finish. It's better with small detailed and intricate sandbox levels with a simple mission briefing structure...I never gave a shit about the targets, the overall story or plot, I ignored stupid shit like him being a clone or the convoluted conspiracy crap that was supposed to tie everything together, I'm not interested in the hitman as a character with motivation or personality either I always saw him as a faceless emotionless modern day grim reaper, death in a suit and tie with a list of people to be crossed out...what I remember and what I loved was the embassy, the slaughterhouse nightclub, the opera, the fancy rehab hospital, the suburban safe house and the parade where I dressed up as big bird and shot people with my silenced silver ballers...and all the other open and varied levels I had hours of fun fucking around with the options and choices. Ironically this game showed me extra graphical polish, smoother gameplay new features and mechanics, a "cinematic" story with actual characters for villains didn't actually make it a better game...the charm and appeal for me was all in the sandbox levels and the freedom.
Better graphics and smoother mechanics are a product of improved technology by the passing of time. It's not an accomplishment. Any triple A game made today is better in graphics and mechanics than a game made in 2006. In the same way that any game made in 2006 was better in graphics than a game made in 1995. I find it laughable that they are trying to defend Absolution with stuff like mechanics and graphics. You can't pat yourself on the back for improved technology in the entire industry. And it clearly shows they are desperate, because they failed in making a good Hitman game.
bio2020 Yeah I agree but I suppose what I mean is it's not like the new features, game play and graphical polish were bad ideas or they're not what ruined it for me, agent 47 still looks acts like he should in game and the environment are still detailed and varied, it does what it's always done but now it's smoother and got more style, I like the cover system, mark and execution mechanic being able to pick up random objects to bludgeon guys with etc, I didn't even hate the new disguise mechanic although it's obvious it needed tweaking...All in all it all felt like a natural extension of the original games but that story and linear level design along with that annoying scoring system constantly reminding me I'm not playing it right not only ruined immersion and my personal creative fun but seemed to break fundamentally what appealed and captured my attention for countless hours in a almost compulsively addictive manner in the previous versions... If it was me making hitman, I'd drop pretty much everything concerning the overall plot, story and the character of 47 and put emphasis on bigger more detailed and intricate sandbox levels...maybe I'd try to create more info and story in the actual environments to be discovered and learned about the individual targets while you're playing, kinda like it was episodic with a different fleshed out villain for each level or a anthology of short stories etc...but I don't think the game desperately needs that to keep people playing or hold their attention. Hitman doesn't really need a story and certainly doesn't need fucking cut scenes...it's a waste of time and money that could be spent on more important things.
***** Because Dishonored is not a thief game, it's a game about murdering everything in your way (or sneaking by unnoticed if you're a badass). It had satisfying melee combat, excellent stealth takedowns, as well as a special ability system that rounds the game out from an average to a solid excellent.
Surprised nobody answered this. I'm 4 years late, but that movie is called "Leon" or " Leon The Professional" ... with a young Natalie Portman, Jean Reno, and Gary Oldman as the bad guy.
003 thezman The older games had more freedom. Where as Blood money split the levels up into smaller chunks. Personally i liked the change since one mistake wasn't the end of the world. In the older games you could be almost done with a hard level and mess up and have to redo everything. That said one of the things you used to have is the option to pick your weapons going into the mission which this game took away. That was a choice i wasn't very happy about. Still a good game in my opinion but for hardcore fans losing that freedom basically means losing what they loved about it. Its still there i think just doesn't have as much. Every game series has its hardcore base that doesn't like change so its not that surprising some people were disappointed.
Piotr Krolikowski ok, just finished blood money and i see why everyone disappointed, but seriously i think Absolution is damn good stealth game, maybe it's not good as blood money but comon it's good enough for to be called a hitman game.
Because of the checkpoint system I found I couldn't enjoy the game like the originals. I turned it off before I had finished the first level. Sniff. I loved all the others so much and had been playing them for 10 years. I was well disappointed because I want a pure silent assassin game like the past ones...Cough....Wahhhhhh!
Fair enough. I didn't give it much of a chance. I think because I spent an hour stalking and killing, then got caught so reloaded and saw all those dudes I had taken out were back, I got quite angry. Will give it another go. Oh I wanted to get the HD ones. Awesome.
Miguel o'Hara I played all the games in the series except the first one Hitman 47 . This is just my opinion. I understand that hardcore hitman fans just dont like it, because in absolution you can shoot everyone in single mission.
3 MAJOR problems imo with this game 1. scripted combat, should NEVER be a part of hitman, the best thing about this game is the multitude of ways you can 'accident', sneak past or creatively kill, the combat system for guns was never good in blood money or contracts but it was so rarely used that pretty much no one cared, because there was ALWAYS an option to be a silent assassin, never seen, never even there 2. those on your hit list is often boring nobodies, there are only 3 targets who really felt untouchable, in the old game you'd be taking down those who were untouchable, contracts just makes me wonder what could have been if it was another tour of the world, getting around the world to take down those that only agent 47 can, now its just feels a bit too linear and the targets always feel just a means to get to the main target often not someone I wanted to kill but just one the game wanted me to, targets like that cowboy's dumb as bricks son or his mercenary leader were the only ones I really wanted to gun down 3. the fucking disguise system, what's even the point of getting an all access disguise if they only work around people who are usually NOT the people you are trying to get around? it feels dumb to have to use an instinct bar to fucking tilt my hat to hide my face from a police officer, how the fuck would he know EVERY OTHER OFFICER IN HIS PRECINT OFF BY HEART? it feels like a deliberate handicap because now the levels are linear so they have to make it impossible so you couldn't just walk past everyone to the next level, if the levels were sandbox the disguise would work but still have difficulty because most options getting to the target would have some sort of patrolling guard to get rid of so you could then preform the action that would actually legitimately get you caught by fellow guards, now its just waiting for your bar to refill to pass, I hope they go back to the old system on the next game because fuck the one in absolution
Thats the problem, the levels are not sandbox like the older games, thats the whole problem of the game. If they were, it wouldnt exist this disguise problem, or those dumb linear stages...
i am so surprised that there are people who actually like this game. You have to play exactly like the way the devs want you to play. There is no creativity, no freedom. And that checkpoint system....lol..what a joke
Mike Messiah allow me to explain, people liked it because it was good. Your opinion doesn't affect the titles success, its merit does. I recommend using any level past easy, that should crank up your "creativity" lol
Nubxei the Insatiate Dude, every Hitman fan plays in purist mode. Many areas and details in the game were designed for purist gamers in mind. The other difficulties were put for the tween/casual gamers. Majority of the people liked it, because this game was fine tuned for the "majority", the lowest common denominators. Its basically the COD of Stealth games.
AceTheGreat And outfits that are extremely obvious, like the barber outfit, not even Lenny could recognize you. It should have worked like this. Only npcs that directly stared at your face for more than 5 seconds before the disguise should be able to recognize you. If someone grows suspicious, you have 5 seconds to turn your back to them before they realize who you are.
True but that involved having a fair amount of instinct to begin with. You'd have to collect evidence or knock random people out just to have enough to use for a few seconds. On harder difficulties, it just isn't worth using almost 2/3 of it just to walk 5 steps into a door way.
In my opinion you should play Blood Money. I didn't finish Absolution, I hated it so much. But that's maybe because I had too much expectations.. You should play Blood Money in any case. Also you should try Hitman (2016) I haven't played it yet, but it *SEEMS* to be very much what a hitman game should be in my opinion.
yes hitman2016 looks awesome i want to wait for the retail version which comes out in january i don't like buying digital unless its arcade games not sold in physical copy. i asked for xmas the hitman trilogy for ps3.that includes contract assigns and blood money.maybe thats a good start?than try absolution afterwards?i heard absolution has contracts whereas blood money didn.t
I just found it too preplanned. Blood Money rewarded you for planning and quick thinking, patience, watching your targets patterns. Absolution gave you a couple methods to do a hit and told u to pick one. Wasn't as fun.
Wow I can't believe that Joe shaved his head just for the intro! That's dedication!
***** I was just kidding, I know :)

Released a year and a half before Assassin's Creed Unity: Still has better crowd mechanics.
Year and a half ? Hitman Absolution came in Nov 2012 and AC Unity in Nov 2014.
*does math*
....Oh shit.
Point still stands.
SpectacularName If anything that proves your point better!
SpectacularName I get your point but I in AC's defense, AC is an open-world game and Hitman isn't. That changes stuff a little bit.
"No one can piss on this day."
Oh dear...
I felt bad at that part, so I left him alive and snuck away(the 2nd time I played through)
foreshadowing +1 Sin
The graphics in this game were fucking beautiful, and 75% of the missions have replayabillity.
I replayed the mission where you kill lenny (was that his name tho? the son of that texan dude in a white suit) more than 20 times. so yeah, there was that.
patrick tuttle replayabillity ? XDXDXDXDXDXD
you made my day
Crazy this comment was written just 4 years ago. and we already have a revamped hitman franchise with 3 released games.
@@stagger9660 all 3 of which are fucking awesome. Can’t wait for the next

Joe was in the video?!
he looked fat in that suit
I didn't see Joe! Only Agent 47 with a weird costume...

Answer the " nice to meet you "
If you look closely in the begining, you can see that Joe is wearing a bald cap
OMG i didn't notice until now!!!!!!!!!!
holy crap!!!! no way I didn't even know it was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joe was in the video??!
I thought it was a bowl of cereal...
Thank you Sherlock
Agent 47 actually did express guilt before, in the second game he confessed his sins to a priest.
Guess it's to show he's just human as well like everyone else
Next hit man NEEDS to have classical music for the menu.
Ikr
Or maybe it plays when you go into rage mode or something, imagine that music playing whilst you're mowing down loads of guys in slow-mo with your silverballers
Daaamn, that'd be awesome.
no, it's better this way. Dark intense music not calm.
Just like blood money

+InferNo! Same here.
+InferNo! my first and favourite is contracts cause of the amazing atmosphare and darkness
+Roope Mäkelä My first and favorite as well.
Same in blood money i took my time i mean i would stand in 1 spot for 30 mins so the guard would come back then i kill him and u can not shot ur way though blood mmoney its so good and hard on easy this one u can run through and shot it wayto easy
I heard on the desert level if you kill all of the birds a ice cream truck rams lenny is that true?
Pennie Joe Yeah, that's true.
Wonderboy yes
The full Hitman game Joe is talking about has arrived. .. Hitman 2016 😊
Clorox Bleach it's a full game now
Clorox Bleach I haven't played it but from what I've seen and heard it's amazing
I think it's a good game, and it got me interested in the series.
yeah nice, but shoud have been some kind of spin off or new franchise
If it was a new franchise you'd still be complaining
Michael Brown why so?
I would say that 1/3 of Absolution levels have high replayability, compared to the 100% of Blood Money.
+Eren Yeager Meaning ur a donkey
well said
Don't get me started on that gun store level.
It's so fun picking up a random gun, going to the shooting range, then executing a massacre from there.
So...so fun.
The sandbox level design of blood money and the Hitman episodes has way more replay value... don't listen to Joe's non-point there. Small cramped levels with terrible balancing on its difficulty levels and gameplay mechanics couple with zero pre-planning (no map, no weapon selection, no manual saves) has gotten little replay from me except maybe in Contracts mode.
i hate blood money's second mission tho but i do agree for 99%
8/10 as a game
3/10 as a HITMAN game
SHUT UP! you don't know Hitman if it craped in your face
Patrick Bone SAAAAALLTTYYY!
Yeah yeah yeah whatever
Patrick Bone SAAAAAALLTTYYY!
shut up seriously
Whenever I play that first level, I hate myself for killing that guy who just got a call from his doctor, it feels wrong, even for a guy who doesn't feel guilt (normally)
Jacqueline The Insane I know right ?
You don't need to kill him
you will never be a woman
agent 47 would kick ezios ass
Can agent 47 jump?
Rizky Muhammad Firdaus 47 Would make put a bunch of spikes or some other sharp object(s) in Ezios' hay pile
+James Roplle can he swim?
James Roplle lol, he would sneak into his workshop and smash his hook blade so he'd die trying to climb or preak the poison tubes in his hidden blades and switch the position of the blades so he'd stab his own veins and the poison would enter his system, hitman would have killed him before ezio even knew he was a target
Rizky Muhammad Firdaus Can Ezio use solar flare with his bald head?
why is it "angry review"? dude seems pretty laid back actually
kuruptzZz its his web series
+kuruptzZz Watch his reviews where he reviews shitty games, ex: Mindjack, Kayne & Lynch, etc.
That means he likes this game watch him review Rome 2 total war
+kuruptzZz You watch his Top 10 Worst Games of the Year Videos. Then you know.
+Trale Lewous ahem ...... rambo!
I lost it when Joe started wailing on that guy with a squeaky toy.
+John Gunny it was actually a rubber ducky XD
+John Gunter it was a rubber duck and belive it or not its an easter egg in the game, because that same rubber duck is featured in every singe hitman game since year 2000.
the definition of assasin is stealth and cold killer ezio and all the other AC "assasins" kill in plain sight and run killing a shit ton of guards or soldoiers along the way when 47 kills the enviroment is always untouched and every one with it
well thats because their different assassins in different time periods
enriqueX565 that has nothing to do with it. Ezio needs to get good
Please provide that definition because I always thought assassins was someone who killed someone.
TheBig Boss thats call being a murdere you are welcome
That's a bit harder to pull of in 15th century Rome. Especially when you don't have... well... you know... guns, explosives, gasoline, electricity, strip clubs with two way mirrors, fire extinguishers, etc.
Hitman 2 : Silent Assassin is the best Hitman series game , also i liked to play other hitman games . Hitman : Absolution was awesome too .
hitman blood money is the best
Blood money is the best game in the series bud, don't lie to yourself or us.
Im not lying , i have never played blood money
MLG360 REKT Play Blood Money then you silly person, before stating which Hitman game is best in the series....
That's such an unfair machup.
+Jason Early Also to be fair, 47 is a geneticly modified superhuman.
+Emil Christophersen Good point.
I just couldn't take this game's story seriously. I've gone from assassinating Russian Generals, military officials and Japanese hackers in a stylish, posh and incredibility high class game to hitting drugged up, half pissed trash on the head with a hammer. Hitman used to have class.
I do not remember at all killing Russian generals and especially Japanese hackers
+RainCloudVideos that was hitman 2
Well, 47 isn't part of the agency in Absolution, so, there's that.
James Carmichael agreed...hated this game.First hitman that I never finished and I played them all .Never bothered with the one after that. This franchise is dead to me now.
It used to be a game for adults
IGN, Angry Joe, Gamespot...I check these sometimes for their opinions on games. But, I have found that the best reviewer will always be myself. (No disrespect to the mentioned)
I hate people who just believe reviews and don't form an opinion of their own. Just try it out yourself and form an opinion of your own.
when joe was in his prime
indeed
The Higher Primates what's wrong with what he uploads now ?
Now he's into Trump lmfao. He must have looked at him and said: finally someone angrier than I am.
The community is at fault for him rarely making reviews? Aren't they the ones complaining about that? Action - reaction
I love his content, I always will. Its just right now its good. When back in the day it was god level. Im more than happy. Just gotta recognise his greatness, respect his prime without disgracing his current level.
"He feels guilt for the first time." *shows him hitman 2* "oh..."
The first Hitman game i never finished... You had to basically hide all the time, it felt like you were just the hunted and they were the hunters when it should've been the other way around.
Agent 47 vs. Ezio Auditore??? Solid Snake would fuck ´em both
Sam Fisher will kick SNAKES ASS! then Edward will kick Sam's ass then Corvo will kick Edward's then so on and so forth :)
Sam Fisher is wouldn´t kill snake
sam fisher is the biggest noob
Shot Up Gaming you my friend are 101% correct!!!!
960Theo he would easily kill snake just try both games and you'll know what im talking about
that desert level if u do the conditions right that guy gets hit by an icecream truck apparently
0:19 I have those exact Gold's Gym gloves.
***** They help with gripping the bar for some people. I use them for pull ups and deadlifts. It's so you don't tear the fuck out of your palms, I guess.
Bruce Wayne
Wow, Joe's so happy and in my eyes this game is... passable, but not 47's standarts. No fuck they're making new Hitman closer to the origianl with huge levels, contracts and no emotional shit from 47.
Wearing a woman's robe in the motel.. I was like wtf is this
he was so happy while reviewing it
my opinion absolution›2/blood money›contracts
+Mafon2 But you can deny that 47 has emotions, that the main difference between him and the other clones, this is not the first time he felt remorse, have you played Hitman 2?
The Russian Medic Man I literaly wrote book on Hitman. 47 was always the odd one, the outcast, but in Absolution he's too human, may be it's time. The problem is with the structure of missions which don't feel like "Hitman" and cover mechanics,
Oh my goodness, Joe, I absolutely LOVE the way you theme your reviews around the games in question. The skits and costumes and references are AMAZING. Keep up the good work
Joe should of showed us the death by Ice Cream Truck :)
agent 47 would bitch slap ezio and all the other wannabe parkour assassins
i should change the pic
ExtremeTG with that adatude people will call you a hypocrit
He probably would since hes all enhanced and has modern weapons, but no one can deny ezios got style
Mike Smithmyer it also depends what game mechanics he can use.
cap. iceedi Which one ezio or agent 47?? I guess if ezio had the apple of eden he could just mind control 47 but if he didnt ezio would be screwed. Which saddens me cause i like ezio more than 47 but thats just me
This game's the biggest letdown of my gaming History.
I paid for a Hitman game, not a Splinter Cell game.
The Algerian Trust me, this ain't Splinter Cell either
+The Algerian How exactly is this ANYTHING even close to Splinter Cell?
Elf Monster Aside from having to crouch-sneak past enemies like 80% of the game? Sure, nothing.
Still a lot closer to Splinter cell than Hitman.
Maybe because most people targeted die without even seeing them?
Asgard314 LOl.
Plipo Gamez Really I was making a joke, but for the Hell of it:
I have, but then I thought about it.
And no weapon & tool selection. Whoever designed the gameplay & story was probably fired since the new Hitman episodes are quite good.
blood money was far superior
agreed, but although i can see where they where going with this one, i may not have played it but they focused more on the stealth side of the series
Best stealth franchises in my opinion:
1. Metal Gear Solid (every single one of the games in this franchise are winners)
2.Splinter cell (before conviction are the best sc chaos theory being the best stealth game ever created)
3. Hitman (hitman blood money was the best)
4. Thief (the old games are superb, the new game is garbage)
The new theif wasn't garbage, granted it has issues with it and could've been better
dishonored isn't a franchise but is still a superb stealth game :(
Orsyx Gaming Yeah i kinda liked it its a shame there is no follow up...
I personally find Splinter Cell games to be better.MGS is a bit silly for me.
***** like the hiding in the boxes and moving around and having soldiers spot you but not think twice about it and the whole " ! " system when you're spotted, still great games though
"Whose" the better assassin? Nooooo
No disguise system is more difficult than the one in silent assassin.
SubTonic I agree, only on the last part.
I liked Absolution too but the games after it felt like lazy cash grabs.
@@Hollowthegamer I do kind of agree, and I wish the episodic model would never be used again, and I hate having to always be online to do challenges
@@BlackangelKatakuri Well I absolutely adore the gameplay loop of the newer Hitman trilogy I can't get enough of it. It really feels like the true successor to Hitman Blood money.
The new trilogy is far better than absolution but absolution is still a good game.
Just bought Blood Money on Steam. Absolution was my first Hitman game. Lemme just go ahead and say, Absolution is NOT a good introduction to the series. I wish Blood Money had been my first Hitman game, holy shit it's amazing.
Blood Money was a absolute beast of a stealth game.
+Bhavin Patel i played all the older hitman games on ps2, they were my introduction to the series and i enjoyed them all, but i still think absolution is good.
rondre molo It's good but it was a bit disappointing compared to BM.
I love the reputation system they had where it could reveal your identity in next missions if you go guns blazing all the time
Lmao at 15:40 "No one can piss on this day!" ... throws him out a window
I refuse to kill that guy, he was just too happy.
I had to watch this before getting it free on Xbox Live.

0:00.; This was my late grandmother's favorite Christian hymn playing... It's one of mine, as well because of her--besides coming from a Christian house-hold & being raised as a Christian.
Christina England Hale's rendition of 'Ave Maria' is the best, in my opinion.
"He experiences guilt for the first time."
Ah, the lack of people who played Silent Assassin sadden me.
Agent 47 is a better assassin then Ezio In my opinion
That's true because when ezio kills someone he get's caught but when agent 47 kill's someone he can just disguise as them or hide the body
proatsmallarms Not arguing, but that is a feature. Just as an example, it's like saying if in one game you can pee, and in another you cant, then the one who cant would be called inhumane. Ah, Sorry for not having a better example. Hopefully ya get what I mean though...
Enes Ozturk Shut Up, Ezio is gay.
Watch Doge Err okay sit and calm down dog...
proatsmallarms Then, you're playing game wrong.
Did anyone else feel bad about killing Lenny just because it seemed like he had downs?
you coud let him live if you want
GTAVGamervidallday yea I knew that too
GTAVGamervidallday Its funny cause theres a translate button at the end of your sentence
Aren Haghoobean he gets mad either way if you kill Lenny or if you let him live
What? Who's Lenny? Is this a spoiler? :O
I love stealth gameplay. I don't understand why more stealth games aren't made. I hate First person shooters. Someone needs to do a next gen version of the Syphon Filter series.
If you really like stealth, you should play Splinter Cell Blacklist, that game does stealth very well, together with very good story and gameplay.
Dishonored is a great choise for a stealth game to play.
I just fired this up yesterday and it still looks amazing.
Going to be free with gold April 1st on Xbox Live.
dnadonut It's not really free when you are paying for Xbox live membership.
YellowPowder I payed for live before this program came about. Im not paying any more for it. So its free to me.
YellowPowder your a troll, go back under your bridge, if you dont have Gold in the first place your not getting much out of your xbox
YellowPowder I think you basically save more with this deal and yeah not everybody is paying to get these free games but tooplay online.
I do agree with your statement that you're not getting much from your xbox but there was no need to be rude about it.
It's on sale now for $4.99 on Steam. I never played any Hitman games before but I cannot resist the price lol.
TheFrozenFangs same here lol
TheFrozenFangs
In related news, Hitman: Contracts was finally added to Steam so now people can play one of the best Hitman games, yay!
You missed out great game and I'm a Hitman fan since SA. It's better, and I can't go back to the old ones anymore, things will improve in the next ones, but there are levels a lot like old Hitman games like Shaving Lenny. Took me 3 hours to get SA on that lol.
Imo Contracts > Blood Money and Absolution

Wish it was on the PS4
@@BlackangelKatakuri actually you can get hitman absolution and hitman blood money for the ps4 via the psn store at possible a cheap price
In this game, Agent 47 had an amazing voice actor. Kinda sounds like Morgan freeman...
Wall hacks and aimbot are now a feature in games...
CaleyMcKibbin Aimbot?
TechnAmateur That is the classic name of a cheat program that adds computer assisted targeting to a game. Wall hack removes draw occlusion for character models so you can see them through the environment. docs.unity3d.com/Manual/OcclusionCulling.html These are now included in many games, presumably to help low skill players win in single player.
CaleyMcKibbin Thanks for the info...and that freakin' sucks, I don't even like aim-assistance.
Devs rly have gone soft to broaden their fanbases. #Shame
Use appears to be optional in this game.
CaleyMcKibbin maybe because our skills don't mach the skills of a character we play ?
ezio vs hitman hitman wins
no shit, 47 has access to an assault rifle
Complete Savage ezio master assassin my ass

Best line in this game, "Ive got wood man, why do i have wood?"
finally! another person that enjoyed absolution
+Jack Taylor It was my first Hitman game and I enjoyed it very much too.
Yes, Absolution was my first and the best, i played Blood Money, I hated it
RavagerStickman It really depends on how you define "the best" because I hated blood money too, BUT peoples problem with Absolution was that it was in no way true to the Hitman franchise.
Its the newer Hitman players who enjoy absolution and blood money is enjoyed by the more old school players^^
Also the new Hitman game is like the best of both worlds from the two games.
Ikr!
"His... his naked lady friend in the shower"
lol
Nice gloves Joe. How many takes did it take to hold hat face for so long? Good job because I would have a hard time with it.
I haven't played AC or Hitman games but I love that Hitman pushes you to only kill your targets. It may have been the fault of the player (sometimes it was for sure) but it looked like in AC 2 that Ezio kills a lot of guards just doing their jobs. So agent 47 is the better assassin.
15:34. You're a bad guy.
God I love how Angry Joe dresses up for almost every episode 😂
Jeepers Creepers the Movie fucked me up as a kid... fuck that brought up some disturbing memories.
hhahahaha Damn that movie was creepy
Hell I lived by a cornfield at that time I was watching Jeepers creepers 2 (the first one was the shit btw) god that hade scared to go back home alone
Damn man i feel for the kid you, *pounds chest in respect*
So the melee was ripped off to be Ryse: Son of Rome's entire combat system?
yeah because that is the only game with quick time.....
right.... =/
***** Pretty much the gist of what I was getting at.
I rather liked that the QTE's gave you bonus health, focus, damage and such that you're free to switch whenever you want.
i made a personal goal of only using bladed weapons.
that katana
i was also very much an advocate of the idea that there are no witnesses if you kill every1~
***** wow thats somehow more creepy than what i said XD
+Tezla Alchemia Agent Raiden xD
+Tezla Alchemia I never found the katana, and I didn't want to look it up on google cuz that would feel like cheating but I could never find that damned katana :'(
Nickolas Marchuk the katana is China town
Joe looks boss in that suit.
If people just let go of the comparison with blood money , they'll get a lot more enjoyment out of this game .
Facts:
-SA2 had superior disguise system
-BM had way superior gameplay
-A was way too inspired by splinter cell and Kane and Lynch
If the next game is a rehash of this travesty, HItman will die.
*****
Polish?
***** all that was a wast of time because no one will read that sorry to say i did and i think i was the only one:(
*****
I know. Still not convinced though. I'll wait for gameplay vids to roll by.
Lol Joe, your costumes are awesome. XD
It's 2019 and I'm about to buy it on a Steam sale. Thanks, Joe!
Just bought it yesterday. Liking it so far
I'm sorry but compared to blood money this game is shit! I would rather assassinate myself instead of seeing another Hit man game like this one!!!!!!!!!!
Dildo Baggina Nice name
47 being a clone has always been part of the series. What kind of Hitman "fan" are you?
DiabolicalApostle
it's a unnecessary and dumb part of the series...
Playing this 7 years later on my PS3 I bought and it still holds up.
Hitman, the man with all the hit songs!
henkman00 hahahahahaha so fucking funny man -.-
@@cossu2821 because hittman is a terrible rapper
@@cossu2821 you must be fun at parties
@@cossu2821 sarcasm?? Are you drunk?, you really seem like a guy that would be fun at party
I think it's a 8 out of 10
compared to what they did to splinter cell series, this game is fucking excellent
***** Because Dishonored is not a thief game, it's a game about murdering everything in your way (or sneaking by unnoticed if you're a badass). It had satisfying melee combat, excellent stealth takedowns, as well as a special ability system that rounds the game out from an average to a solid excellent.
At least Blacklist was pretty good
What movie is that "EVERYONE" from? The Gary Oldman bit.
Surprised nobody answered this. I'm 4 years late, but that movie is called "Leon" or " Leon The Professional" ... with a young Natalie Portman, Jean Reno, and Gary Oldman as the bad guy.
I fucking hated this game.
Me too
silent assassin was the best one
I see this game on Steam for $20. Is it really that good, i'm not a fan of stealth games but would love to give it a try.
Do it, it's a good game.
I tried and my god i love it, but why there are so many people hate it.
If you played the Hitman series before this game, it changed a lot
I'm glad i got it for free on xbox live and i dont even have gold XD...
Because sharing is caring....
Wow. My gold expired today and I still got it too.
midnightninja698 Same here
I payed 2 pounds for it an it was worth it I think. I would have payed more if I had to.
I got it with gold
I love how Joe doesn't need a silencer to shoot... well, uh... silently.
Awesome.
***** Because I like saving my point with the progress I have made. Though I enjoy the Hitman games before this one - I'm not very good at em ;)
honestly.. i love this game..
Have you played Blood Money?
Miguel o'Hara
I played all the games in the series except the first one Hitman 47 .
This is just my opinion. I understand that hardcore hitman fans just dont like it, because in absolution you can shoot everyone in single mission.
Thats the thing that square enix wanted t o do, appeal to the mass audience rather than core hitman
Totally agree with Joe on this Game.....Could have been Better...
BUT! it's a great game anyways.
Well yeah that's a Given...
S4Backstabber I didn't think it was great. I just found it to be OK.
IngenFiles
The Firefights were okay if they didn't happen all the Fukin Time!
16:00 "Man, no one can piss on this day!" *Gets thrown from high cliff for a really rocky landing*
Blood money's better.
No, Hitman 2 is the best.
GHOST What the fuck is Hitman 2.
No Hitman game ever had a sequel number on it.
GHOST Im sorry Call Of Duty I couldnt be bothered to look up Dragon Ball Z for the kinect.
amoungthefree
despite Hitman2: Silent Assassin is named Hitman 2: Silent assassin, you're correct, wich means you're wrong
GHOST I didn't say it was the best, I said it was better than absolution.
3 MAJOR problems imo with this game
1. scripted combat, should NEVER be a part of hitman, the best thing about this game is the multitude of ways you can 'accident', sneak past or creatively kill, the combat system for guns was never good in blood money or contracts but it was so rarely used that pretty much no one cared, because there was ALWAYS an option to be a silent assassin, never seen, never even there
2. those on your hit list is often boring nobodies, there are only 3 targets who really felt untouchable, in the old game you'd be taking down those who were untouchable, contracts just makes me wonder what could have been if it was another tour of the world, getting around the world to take down those that only agent 47 can, now its just feels a bit too linear and the targets always feel just a means to get to the main target often not someone I wanted to kill but just one the game wanted me to, targets like that cowboy's dumb as bricks son or his mercenary leader were the only ones I really wanted to gun down
3. the fucking disguise system, what's even the point of getting an all access disguise if they only work around people who are usually NOT the people you are trying to get around? it feels dumb to have to use an instinct bar to fucking tilt my hat to hide my face from a police officer, how the fuck would he know EVERY OTHER OFFICER IN HIS PRECINT OFF BY HEART? it feels like a deliberate handicap because now the levels are linear so they have to make it impossible so you couldn't just walk past everyone to the next level, if the levels were sandbox the disguise would work but still have difficulty because most options getting to the target would have some sort of patrolling guard to get rid of so you could then preform the action that would actually legitimately get you caught by fellow guards, now its just waiting for your bar to refill to pass, I hope they go back to the old system on the next game because fuck the one in absolution
Thats the problem, the levels are not sandbox like the older games, thats the whole problem of the game.
If they were, it wouldnt exist this disguise problem, or those dumb linear stages...
Borel Carvalho The next Hitman game will probably be a Sandbox game, because it is mentioned by IOI.
i am so surprised that there are people who actually like this game. You have to play exactly like the way the devs want you to play. There is no creativity, no freedom. And that checkpoint system....lol..what a joke
Are you surprised that the game is good or that people liked it?
Victor Ortega the later
Mike Messiah allow me to explain, people liked it because it was good. Your opinion doesn't affect the titles success, its merit does. I recommend using any level past easy, that should crank up your "creativity" lol
Nubxei the Insatiate Dude, every Hitman fan plays in purist mode. Many areas and details in the game were designed for purist gamers in mind. The other difficulties were put for the tween/casual gamers.
Majority of the people liked it, because this game was fine tuned for the "majority", the lowest common denominators. Its basically the COD of Stealth games.
Mike Messiah yea...no, difficulty has always been optional in the Hitman series and purist mode is available on this title aswell
The only issue I had with the disguise system is that wearing a mask or cover over my face did not stop them from noticing me.
You could actually evade being noticed by using instinct.
True but that involved having a fair amount of instinct to begin with. You'd have to collect evidence or knock random people out just to have enough to use for a few seconds. On harder difficulties, it just isn't worth using almost 2/3 of it just to walk 5 steps into a door way.
I hated this game. Cover mechanic was a good addition, though.
Blz Ahz why?
Seemed too linear and messy to me. It just didn't have the same feel like Hitman 2, Contracts and Bloodmoney.
Blz Ahz for someone new to hitman.i have ps3 and ps4.do u recommend absolution or no?or should inplay blood money instead?
It wasnt the best hitman game but i still liked it alot
Best hitman game was blood money hands down.
IMMA SPAI Well for me, it was "Hitman: Silent Assassin"..
Agent 47
I just found it too preplanned. Blood Money rewarded you for planning and quick thinking, patience, watching your targets patterns. Absolution gave you a couple methods to do a hit and told u to pick one. Wasn't as fun.
