- My Name is Craig Reed & I was one of the Three original Roadies with Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1973 who wore many Hats with the Band . Working as the Guitar Roadie at the time of the Most Famous Airplane Crash in History October 20 , 1977 & nominated as The World's Most Famous Roadie by Fans & Peers in 2022 - Sharing never before details of Lynyrd Skynyrd that have been overlooked in all of the Movies - Books & Documentaries that have been released up until now .

Griff Martin AKA The Rocket Scientist is the Co Host Of the Craig Read Stoned Roadie Podcast. Griff known as the man that can get anything like Radar O'Reilly on mash has even lavished Craig his podcast partner with hard to find items. You may see Craig appear on the show with some of these items like Craig"s Rocket Scientist lab coat and even an airline pilot captains hat and shirt. Craig will tell you he likes gifts but if their gifts anyone can get he doesn't want them. Griff spent 35 years at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cocoa Beach Florida processing and transporting human space flight hardware. He has supported over 100 space shuttle flights and just before he retired helped to assemble the shuttle replacement rocket ARTIMUS set to launch this year. During Griff's career he has worked as a technical director in many major motion pictures at Kennedy like Armageddon, Apollo Thirteen, Space Cowboys and First Man. Griff is a long time fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd and met Craig on FakeBook where they both share the same wit and humor. Craig invited Griff to go on a VIP tour to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and they have been friends ever since.
I remember Gene telling a story in someone's video, he was showing someone around where they lived and said about he made a ramp for Allen's wheelchair and that Gary was screwing up the songs. And Gene saying about Gary didn't want to play that old Sh*t. Well he sure made enough money off those old songs....Man...sad how greed causes man to turn on a friend...

In your opinion why were Leslie and JoJo not considered for the RCB or Tribute Tour?
I saw a clip the other day with Ed King and he was saying something to the effect that he didn't like girls on the road. Cannot recall the exact wording but he seemed to not be a fan of the females as backup singers. I'm sure it was not personal, just the male/female thing. Interesting.

I've said it before but I'm going to mention it again. June of 2023 I lost my sister and trying to grieve and press on wasn't easy...don't know exactly how or why I got into listening to Skynyrd...but I did. And I found the channel and started to watch, not sure of what I'd find but I got into it more and more. Interesting to find out stuff...not just about the band...but other stuff that's discussed here like ancient civilizations, fat shaming, current events....Glad I found it as it was a form of therapy for me...and found an ecclectic group of people.

One thing to let yourself go a little , it happens. However , if your Still belting them hits out like they did , without faking it , thats awesome. Mike Reno with Loverboy fits the bill. Still sounds amazing and 100% worth seeing today. Kinda good for those kind , they got big , but still at it. Them skinny ones that didnt get off the goodies that kept em skinny in the 80's , many just are not around today sadly.

Question for Craig or Gene....Ive heard two accounts of lucky people being invited home with Ronnie for fishing and dinner which was Judy's fried chicken! Did Craig or Gene ever have it? And 1 to 10 how was it?? Probably why Ronnie was a lil husky.🙂🍽
Every time I see Craig Standing in the Skynyrd Plane Crash Site, at the beginning of this video, I can Imagine what is Going through his Mind, It Makes Me Shead Tears, He Lost his Friends Here, Lord Have Mercy, One more thing, I emailed Griff to ask Gene about the RVZ Pedal Steel Guitar that is in the Allman Bros. Museum in Macon, I guess he forgot to ask Gene about it, But only Gene would Know, Griff, could you please ask Gene about it, Many of us Skynyrd Fans would like to know, thank you, Thank You, Cousin Figel
Who was the very first roadie? So just heard y'all say the other day that Billy started out as Leon's roadie. Billy and Leon went to HS together, right? Shelby, what city are you from? I have family in Hattiesburg and Poplarville. Love your voice and accent! 😁

Someone who has health issues and want to lose weight, may want to look into the carivore diet, where it's eating meat, eggs, bacon and butter....very little carbs. Well adding butter makes food taste better and folks have been able to lower their cholesterol and type 2 diabetes.o I'm keto and I know that adding butter to foods satisfies hunger more than eating carbs.
The things that are happening now are Biblical prophecies. I can share many if anyone wants to hear about them.
Hidden things being brought to light....increase of knowledge...

Great podcast! Played a few I’d missed on my roadtrip back to Florida tonight. Hope to see all of my Skynyrd family including Shelby @the monument this October.
Good episode. Shelby did a great job and had real good question. I have ties to Mississippi with lots of family there and I also lived in several places there over a few years when I was younger like late 1960s through early 1970’s. So when Shelby first showed last fall and we learned she was from Mississippi she really did remind me of girls/women I knew from there. Naturally the accent but also something about how she looks and finally the name Shelby just sounds like such a Mississippi name. Brought back some fond memories. Anyway hope she will be back I do enjoy each contributed to the podcast; Craig, Griff,Kathy,Shelby,Chad and OttoMotive. Edited to add I just realized why the name Shelby rang a bell. Dad(Chicago guy)was stationed at Camp Shelby in Mississippi training for WW2 when he met mom (Mississippi gal) in Jackson.
It takes a special person to stay at home while having to hold down the fort so to speak while the one person is gone 3/4 of the time.... Kudos to all the Skynyrd ladies who had to be THE parent ect... It takes a certain someone to be the partn to a musician that's for sure!
Good podcast. No disrespect but many of same questions as asked on previous episodes.
Just keep in mind and I have to remember that folks may be new to the channel and not heard some of those stories...or heard those questions.
