WHEN LANDING WITH ONE LANDING GEAR, always always always transfer all your fuel to the side that has the functioning landing gear. This saves your plane from exploding and killing a crew member in the process.
It makes so ur going a lil slower so ypu wont take so much damage when i used lean when landing whit 1 gear my plane got repaired and everyone lived yes they did get downed but eh
I remember having an engineer called Jeanette who never died. I crashed, sank got her shot several times, landed without landing gear but she still never died. At one point she was the only original crew member with the rest being newbies
Jeanette would later go on to earn several medals, repair multiple engines midcombat, survive multiple hits from enemy fire, fly a plane home after the pilot was shot dead and successfully shoot down three enemy bomber busters.
i had a mechanic named craig who saved my gunners and other crew members during combat, but on one run i sent him out to fix an engine and he got shot off the plane and fell to his death... remember to always grab a parachute before you go outside
Finished operation chariot 1 wheel 2 missing engines Fuel tank empty (near empty on Landing) Engineer gone (fell of Wing) [had parachute was recovered] All crew alive and well Plane later renamed to “the lucky landing”
Been playing the USAF DLC had completed the graff zeppelin mission with one engine (for the majority of the mission) all rear gunners dead apart from the ball gunner bombider was bleeding out no landing gear so crashed onto the runway apart from the rear gunners everyone else survived and killed the ace Melvin
After Operation Chariot: Slight damaged right landing gear, missing left engine, boat survived on a sliver of health, one crew member died due to not enough med kits, plane fully intact and hardly received that bad of damage
I finished just yesterday. I was hanging on fuel and praying that my coordinator would hurry up. We barely made it to base when the fuel went red. That was scary man.
No ones has touched on this but at the start of each mission tell your gunners to grab a 3rd ammo bag you only start with a surplus of 2 so adding that extra bag helps slow down extra tasks in battle.
"The Wrong Stuff" is a really great autobiographical book written by a former B-17 co-pilot, Truman Smith. A truly funny, exciting, matter-of-fact yet also touching book about overcoming adversity. As a 20-year-old inexperienced US bomber pilot, away from home for the first time, Smith describes all the 1001 things that can go south in a hurry, when ten young men with no experience are put in a worn-out, rusty B-17. Broken hydraulic and electrical systems, insufficient heating in the extreme cold of 10,000 feet, and ten scared big boys in uniform - a potentially deadly mix, even without the enemy flak and fighters. Despite all this "wrong stuff, 2nd Lt. Truman Smith manages not only to stay alive and sane. He also retain his sense of humor, comradeship and to focus on his real mission: to lose his virginity! A mission that may prove even more daunting than 35 combat mission in the skies over Europe!?
Tips : - When engaging approaching fighters, select Focus and / or Incendiary. - Before taking off, take some time whit your engi to supply once the below gun station and then take 3 ammo boxes for the frontal gun. (Take the ammo -> go to the engi station -> repeat). - When facing Ju 88 use A.P rounds. - If you can, try to bomb targets from the HIGH level, Bf 109 and Fw 190 can't reach you here. - Use Lean as mutch as you can. - Heal your gunners when out of action, from the resting bed or whit a first aid guy. - If you want to dive bomb, you can ! Try to stay at HIGH altitude and near your objective IF you can't see it, do the EMR Dive then set your altitude to medium for a short beriode (3 - 4 seconds) and then set to HIGH. Don't forget to aim a bit ahead of your target. - Focus is for fighters who comes in a straight line (at their initial approach) or against jet powered fighters (Me 163 and Me 262). - Building your plane is important so choose wisely, for exemple i use this setup : 2 Armored engines at the righ and left inner ports and 2 lightweight at the right and left inner port, that way the landing is somewhat protected and i can setup all my plane in full armored option. - The outers ports are cheaper than the inners ports, think about it. - Use the EMR dive if you want to dive faster.
What is the best termal protection for high altitude, I realized that having both electrical mittens and boots allows my crew to be at highest but I don't know if it was a bit too much.
The thing is the outer engines get shot the most so those should be armored (When planes come from the side the outer engine tanks dmg instead of the inner getting hit
@Ronaldo Radonić got electrical boots and heavy gear for almost all of my crew, only the Engi is build on the speed, but he got electrical boot whit mittens (off fingers).
Idk if they updated it or it is different on the switch but my pilot always goes around if I forget to put my landing gear down which let me tell you it saved me tons of times
@@Angel_Games09 must have been updated. 😅 (old man voice) I remember back in the day, you could emergency dive at low altitude. 😅 Which of course resulting in smacking into the ground.... 😐😑 That got changed. Also locking the pilot in the pilot seat so you couldn't accidentally send them off elsewhere.... 😑
Already killed a lot of people on the 4th mission. Rip crew of the Flack Target and that one brave engineer that walked out on the wings during landing
Turrets with automatic belt feeding. They are expensive, heavy, generally unlocked long after their non belted counterparts and worth every single penny. Not having to go and grab ammo every now and then means more time is spent shooting, especially if your gunners are heavily geared.
Im early game and i installed the belt feed on my tail. Helps a lot so that I don’t need to be going back to the tail to give my gunner some ammo, but when he is only injured. Saves me some time to work on mid to upper part of lancaster
Tip#1: I highly recommend that you equip your whole crew with electrical gloves and boots so that you can fly at high altitudes, dis means you can avoid all flak and most planes. Tip#2: Put the mm cannons in the center of the airplane because they are practically on top of the ammo storage. Also, make sure that the teal gunner has auto reload because that turret is going to be shooting a lot. Tip#3: At high altitudes, if you want to bomb, bomb one bomb per bomb pass so that if you miss, you can try again. And finally, tip#4: Lean will be your ally, there have been two times in which my plane has been shot up so bad that there has been only two engines working and very low fuel and lean got my crew to England where, on the first time dat it happened, they safely emergency landed on England and all made it, and on the second time it happened, the plane emergency landed next to the airfield and all survived.
Keep in mind that at 40 thermal, your crew won't freeze at all at high altitude. This means that any extra thermal gear that puts you above 40 isn't necessary and won't help you.
Forget about crew survival equipment, the aim is not to have to resort to it. Gunners should be medics as a secondary skill so they can fix eachother up. You can just coast at medium altitude after setting a custom marker. Bombardier absolutely needs to be gunner secondary. The pilot should never move, make sure someone nearby is a medic so he or she never has to leave their chair.
I'm here, two years later thanks to the Space Crew bundle. Fresh from the streamlined Bomber Crew in Space, it is *infuriating* to have your peeps not running inside the aircraft to do their tasks. LOL
here a couple tips that mayby importat or common to miss: -always remember to lower the landing gear when landing -when going on a long mission remember to lean most of the time -use defensive ability when there too many enemy figher at your area -never use the top gunner on high altidute beacuse enemy mostly will come from below -make sure your bomber is a gunner so he can switch to front gun when nessesary -always bring 1 parachute for enginner (usefull when he go out to repair one of the engine) -blew up a photo opportunity when photo already tanken (give extra money) -remember to lock pilot so pilot cant get out of his seat and make the place crash -have engineer as backup pilot just in case the main pilot go down -make sure you have the right set of armour for diferent type of mission -remember to lower landing gear when emergency dive -call in the spitfire if you are getting overwhelm and defensive ability is rechargeing -use the slow motion ability when nessesary or multiple thing happening at once -boost when you have a time limit or at a area effective to a flak gun to evade them -make sure engineer is fast and atlesat lightly armoured to repair broken engine or broken system -make heavy gunner heavy armoured so it can survive a lot of hit before dying -never go high on the sky without oxygen and themperature on a high level -make sure your crew can survive landing on water and land so they can be recovered better -sometime ammo feed is better than ammo belt in some way -never leave a crew hanging around idle doing nothing -never leave engineer on wings idle -make sure to leave the captain medium armoured so he can still bail and survive hits -radio for recon if you sure there a lot of flack up ahead -use custom heading when nessesary -try to evade effective flak (the one that explode directly at you when you enter the area) -remember to mark enemy figher and ace before prioritizing orange waypoint -dont use emergency landing when landing on the airfield (trust me dont) -use the pilot ability when in danger or something dangerous happening -diferent time and weather effect area recon so dont be affraid to cancel the mission if the weather is bad -use the medic ability on one gunner (preferably the mid) -make sure to bail at the moment all engine is lost -dont use boost when landing (bad idea it gona make the plane crash) -try and call spitfire when nessesary like a ace at your location -dont be affraid to land with a empty fuel tank useing emergency landing -dont try to speedrun milkrun make sure you dont miss the photo opportunity when you are not in a big danger or critical condition
My best tip and a bit of a cheat. If you happen to lose your crew or a crew member or if you happen to crash, bail or anything that ends in losing crew or a plane. Immediately exit the game. Just exit the game. Don't give it a chance to autosave. You're welcome
i have an tip too: when you put your engineer in a wing for repair it (example: Loosing fuel or engine damaged) before giving him the order to repair the wing, don't forget to give him a a parachute.
I find that adding a ventral turret so you don't get bullied by the Shrage Musik cannons, the ones that go underneath you and shoot at the belly of your aircraft. Also fly at Medium altitude whenever you can to avoid as much flak as you can
my top tip. You can make your crew drop ammo they are carrying by telling them to move to a non gun position while there carrying the ammo. Use this to move ammo close to the tail and front gunner during quiet sessions so during combat they don't have to run all the way to the ammo crate.
my tip : be really careful in the secret weapons dlc second mission, because if u are too close to the fuel tanks when you bomb them, your plane explodes c;
It's all about levelled up crew - you can't allow them to die during the mission. Therefore: - Set up at least 6 spots for equipment, 4 x first aid kit and 2 x fire extinguisher (it can be 3 x double rack or 2 x triple reck). Don't bother with parachutes - you don't want to lose the plane you invested that much money as well - If things going bad and you know you won't make it safe home, just hit esc key and leave to main menu. Then, you can load last game state, right before unlucky mission. If you crash the plane and see the summary, it's too late, save is owerwritten. You have to abort game either until plane lands with dead crewmen or until it hit the ground. - Use auto tag often, but watch the radar first. If only one enemy group is incoming, don't waste cooldown - Tail turret should always have belt feed - Electric and hydraulic systems should be at least 3-rd grade to avoid malfunctions - You can approximate your location on map using radio call for recon - even with clouds, you will see where you are approximately. It's better to be on mid alt and go past flak/radar sites, than be down between flak fire and hordes of enemy. Than take low alt right after you pass radar sites. Game is amazing - they should do 2nd with B-17 bomber and 3rd with B-29 on Pacific. Or better - game on Pacific Ocean with bomber planes progression, including Doolitle Raid in Mitchells and ending with Tokyo napalm madness and Hiroshima genocide in B-29
I like the idea of B-17/B-29 games. I also think it would be cool to stray from bombers, and being the allies, with a "U-Boat" version. Commanding a crew of German submariners would be cool, and a very easy cross-over I would think.
I wish I would have known that you can just leave game without saving, when you are mid mission.. if you know you won't make it. I have switched crews and planes so many times, it's harder now and I got a crappy crew and new plane lol
This is awesome information Aleksander. The only thing I would add is this: Upon take off, as soon as you raise the landing gear, click on your mechanic and go to a "LEAN" mixture right off. You will get to your destination eventually, so why not add more time in the air for your mission. If you're an impatient type of player just click on the fast forward button while LEAN is in progress. Play On!!!
Yes - the LEAN is very important. There are some missions, that bombing from high altitude is difficult due to clouds. Player should use lean at least twice before reaching the target. Then, you can hover over target few minutes to find hole in clouds to hit the target. The mid gunner don't have to man upper mid turret, because most of enemy planes can't reach high altitude. Heavy fighters usually come after bomb hit the target. Therefore when bombs gone, player can order mechanic to man upper turret and when the bomber heads base, navigator can man mech. panel and use lean until enemy is fended off. When the sky is clear of enemy, navigator back to the map, correct heading and mechanic again in his station with lean button pressed.
Some tips of my own, a bit late I suppose. 1. The engineer is the only crew member that can cross-train as a pilot. Due to how much of a lifesaver the pilot's skills can be, I like to train the engi as a backup pilot. 2. In my opinion, the optimal cross-trains are: Bombardier: Engineer or Medic- Bombi works well as a second engineer, although they do have to work a turret. In my opinion, having a second engineer to lean fuel while the other repairs something is more important than having another gunner. Engineer: Pilot- Engi is the only member of the crew that can crosstrain into pilot, and it's nice to have someone in the cockpit with abilities if your pilot needs to take a breather. Pilot: Engineer- Your pilot's rarely going to be out of his seat, but when he is, the engineer should be replacing him. By crosstraining pilot into engi, you avoid having to swap the two out in a high-stress situation. Navigator: Medic- In the more intense bit of BC, the navigator doesn't do much. You can tag targets and photo opportunities without his help, and on the to and from you can just point the plane vaguely in the direction of the airfield. Therefore, the nav is a good candidate to learn first aid. Radio op: Navigator- If the navigator goes down or is busy doing something else, the radio operator can pop over to his seat to set a custom waypoint and steer the plane. I like to keep the radio op on station most of the time because it's hard to spot fighters without the radar active. Primary gunners: Engineer Secondary gunners (anyone working a non-essential gun, like the waist gunner on the b-17): Medic 3. Emergency dive can put out engine fires and, if you're lucky, keep the engine running. Consider using it instead of your extinguishers if you can do so safely. 4. Emergency dive is also very useful if you need to quickly drop altitude, most often to take a photo. It also can dodge me. 262 rocket strikes if you time it well. 5. If emergency dive and corkscrew are on cooldown, there is another way you can avoid a me.262 rocket strike. Simply point your plane up by telling the pilot to go to high altitude, then, right as the rockets are about to fire, switch to low altitude. The rockets should fly harmlessly overhead.
Always lock your pilot. Most of my crashes have happened not due to the enemy action but due to the player's (meaning: my own) action when trying to move the engineer I have accidentally sent the pilot to repair something. Also, related to that: select the crew from the left side menu, not from inside the plane to prevent that stupid error from happening.
Here's A Good Tip That Most People Might Already Know 1:Always Run The British 2:Use Lightweight Mk-1 Engines for inner and Mk-4 engines for outer 3:Also Use 20-MM Cannons For All Turrets 4:Use Mk-3 Armoured Fuselage Or Mk-4 Armoured Fuselage 5:Crew Members Should Use The List Here-V Thermal Mittens And Boots[Cheap And Useful] Mk-2 Leather flying cap Mk-2/3 Thermal Flight suit Advanced-02 Bottle Combined survival vest[The Original Not The Toughened One,Due to It Being Expensive And Less Reliable] [This Will Also Make Your Crew Look Cool] Anyway These Are My Tips
I love this game , Although I play on a PlayStation it’s a bit hard keeping up with all the controller commands and tasks at once , but the challenge is fun !
Most of my sorties consist of me flying at mid altitude until I get close to the target. Then I emergency dive, set the flight altitude to low, switch my bombardier from the nose gun to the bomb sights, open the bomb bay doors, and drop the load giggity. Oh and don't get too attached to your crew. When they die for one reason or another you'll get kinda sad especially when they've been with you for a while. RIP bombardier Kerr
When your crashing, put your crew in the seats, exept for the back gunner as the back of the plane may fall off, the rule buckle up does apply to planes too.
Another tip get ammo feed it’s so much better so your crew doesn’t have to get up and get ammo. I’ve got 20mm cannon with ammo feed at rear same with dorsal turret, middle and front 303x4 with ammo feed
When I was playing this I landed with my engineer on the left wing and the WHOLE left side of the plane exploded and killed my engineer and someone else
Tip: You should start flying high altitude as soon as you have electric gloves and boots. Give everyone electric gloves and boots, and thermal flight suits of varying quality depending on speed. The engineer should have thermal boots. you don’t want them on the wing too long. Also tip: lightweight engines are better. Full stop. 3 lightweight mk3s and an armoured mark 5 is enough to keep you in the air with the maximum weight possible. Third tip: armor your wings. As much as you can. No matter what.
I always install the ventral turret in and assign my engineer with gunner a second. Then, whenever things are going bad, I raise my altitude to medium. Then use autotag and have my engineer shoot all the fighters under me.
1: when missing 1 gear bailout most crew (not pilot and enginer) at low altitude before landing and transfer all fuel to side that has working gear 2: dont forget to use crew abilities like focus, auto tag, lean etc. 3: dont use all bombs on one target because if u miss u cant try again 4: when bombing with big bombs dont bomb at low altitude like how the guy did in this vid cuz it will blow u up 5: use emergency dive to put out fires but careful because crew cant move while diving and if anyone is on wing they will fall off
Haven't played the game myself because I don't have a PC powerful enough to do so. In fact technically speaking I don't have a PC at all. My computer consists of a Kindle and a smartphone. So I'm going to have to wait for the console release of this game. However here are a few other tips that I discovered. In a lot of the video footage that I've seen in the days since the game's release one thing I've noticed is oftentimes the players will begin to panic when things go crazy. So attempt from me is this. Stay calm. Games like this that have you micromanage large amounts of things at once are always very difficult to play when you are put under a high-stress situation and You Begin panicking. You don't tend to think properly when you're in such a mindset and often times are more susceptible to mistakes. Here's another tip. Strategically place extra armor on the plane. Well I'm sure it is probably an extremely tempting Thing 2 Armor every single inch of the aircraft from what I saw doing so actually causes the plane to slow down and therefore uses up more fuel. So Place armor in strategic areas. Like for instance as stated in the video put armor in areas where crew members who are slightly less well armored versus armoring every part of the aircraft. Another tip. Don't skimp on the emergency dive ability. If you're flying at high or even medium altitude and for some reason you have experienced an engine fire you can use the emergency dive ability to actually caused the fire to get put out on the engine. Now this of course would still require your engineer to go out on the wings and repair the engine if need be. But this allows you to not have to worry about using either the extinguisher system or a hand-held extinguisher. Another tip. Cross-train at least one individual on the crew to be a backup pilot. In at least two videos that I've seen the player had the pilot get away from the controls which of course causes the plane to lose control and fall. In another video The Players pilot was wounded. So it would be a good idea to have at least one individual in the crude to be cross trained as a pilot. Ideally either in my mind the radio operator or the Bombadier. Obviously if for some reason or another the primary pilot is incapacitated it's good to have an insurance policy essentially. Finally one last tip. Balance your weapons loadout. It may be tempting to outfit every single gun turret on the plane with top-quality Firepower. But this has a trade-off of things like reduced ammo capacity. And of course it can also increase the weight of the weapons. So I would suggest strategically placing various types of weapons around the aircraft. For instance leave a relatively high ammo capacity weapon in the top mounted turret because the top turret is probably going to be getting some of the most use. The tail turret I would suggest when unlocked use the 50 caliber machine guns. The tail turret will also see a great deal of use but with the heavier caliber bullets they will be able to down enemies quicker. And alternative could be leave the tail turret with similar weapons as the top turret and use the heavier weapons on the chin turret because while enemies don't always hit the chin turret very often it's always a good idea to potentially have a heavier caliber weapon to protect the majority of the other crewmen. Here's hoping that these and any other tips given will Aid in any future games with anyone who's currently playing.
ultrajd Tip to show ANYONE CAN OPERATE A STATION. If the pilot dies, the bomber can take over, you ARE NOT DEAD!!! IT EVEN SAYS IN THE TIPS AT THE TOP "Anyone can operate a station at a basic level" OR "if the pilot goes to the bed to heal, don't forget to get someone else in the pilot's seat" ALSO, IF YOU ARE LOW ON FUEL AND ARE ON allied territory, emergency landing
I flew 4 perfect missions then I lost two crew members to my electrical system failing and us not shooting the plane underneath us and lack of medkits after that I recovers did a few more missions did my second main mission and died
If your choices are upgrade the plane or upgrade crew kit, upgrade crew kit. Less likely to be lost no matter what while the plane is more likely to not make it home
I got some tips for everyone.1 is that focus on upgrading ur top gun bc that is the main damage dealer to enemys.2 is that i alwase have my bomber and sometimes my engeneer have there 2nt skill a gunner.3 when ur fighting a enemy ace use your focus on ur guns when he's going to shoot at u bc he won't move out of the way when he's gana fire at u but when u use focus on the gunners they will just fire strait at them and it makes it like 10% easyer to kill them.
If you only have 1 wheel heres what you do Lower your landing gear Send everyone as close to the front as possible (underbelly ball turret is the dead turret) Use lean on approach and during landing (bit late is better than too early) Pray to your god Celebrate your successful return
Another one, once you start see those bastards that go under you, start dropping your left over bombs, or, is you hate them, you can drop the bombs on them, I used this on jager when he was a little to slippery to kill and made it home alive
I was thinking about outfitting my crew for speed because my plane always goes down and I think it's because of the fact that my crew is always deadly slow can I get help with that
Extra fourth tip: Radio operator should be a mechanic (in case you forget your engi is on the wing) Rear gunner secondary does not matter Middle gunner should be medic Pilot does not matter and should never move. In the event they die, you should aim to be at the highest altitude possible. Engineer should be trained as gunner. As stated, the pilot DOES. NOT. MOVE. The only 2 reasons for pilot removal: Impossible landing (both gears are broken, can get over Britain) pilot bleed out (navigator should be moved to pilot seat, heal ASAP.) Bomber is obvious gunner Nav should be an engineer in case 3 engines break and you need more cannon fodder. Really though nav only moves when pilot does.
Two misconceptions that I had that have been screwing me over wildly, I never knew Abort meant go home... I thought it was a way of cancelling maneuvers lmfao. I also didn't know first aid did that, I thought that first aid made reviving faster.... I feel really dumb.
My bomber will be thriving with mid fuselage cannons, armored parts, mark 3 engines, good crew, and I honestly feel indestructible, but GOD DAMN Felix the ace goes and destroys one of my landing gear and I have to start over again and I don’t know what to do
it was prob my first 3 (maybe 2) hours of game in the lancaster, lost 3 engines, i think someone was bleeding out, lost 3 engines, only one working, i sent the engineer outside, for at least reapir one.....that plane is now at the bottom of the English Channel
Well am I playing it wrong Because I armored my crew to 46% of speed, but now they can fly everywhere and they never freeze at realy high altitudes AND I LOVE MY CREW
Tip if you have the funds BUY THE AMMO FEED TURRETS! I can not stress this enough, also spam focus when thar be enemies trying to deport your crew into the ground
I've lost 3 bombers and 9 crew so far, but my current bomber, "Wishful Thinking" with crew has been going strong for almost 15 missions so far. This is on Xbox.
Tip. Sell first 2 equipment slots for 800 refund. Save and quit. Load, repeat. Infinite money. It always re adds the first 2 slots free of charge, you keep all the money.
When dropping bombs, watch your 6. Seriously, I lost 3 bombers to accidentally bombing the plane below me. I lost 3 engineers, 3 pilots, 2 bomb droppers, 5 gunners and 1 navigator, no radio operators were harmed but still, you feel very stupid and you don’t even destroy the target
Cant imagine how did the RAF won the Battle of Britain with pilots that needed to be commanded to lower the gear before landing and gunners that just keep reminding you that they are out of ammo with an ammo box 2 feet away ( yes i'm talking about you dorsal gunner)
I'd say be careful for the rear gunner as in real life and in this game the enemy likes to shoot the rear and a few times I had no medkit left my rear gunner died so watch out for rear gunner
WHEN LANDING WITH ONE LANDING GEAR, always always always transfer all your fuel to the side that has the functioning landing gear. This saves your plane from exploding and killing a crew member in the process.
I tried this and it didn’t work
Someone died
Wait nevermind my plane returned safely and the person only got downed so thanks
USE LEAN EVERY TIME WHEN THAT HAPPENS
It makes so ur going a lil slower so ypu wont take so much damage when i used lean when landing whit 1 gear my plane got repaired and everyone lived yes they did get downed but eh
I remember having an engineer called Jeanette who never died. I crashed, sank got her shot several times, landed without landing gear but she still never died. At one point she was the only original crew member with the rest being newbies
I had a radio operator who survived crash landing and recovery twice. they were like level 8 when all the others were newbies
Jeanette would later go on to earn several medals, repair multiple engines midcombat, survive multiple hits from enemy fire, fly a plane home after the pilot was shot dead and successfully shoot down three enemy bomber busters.
My Radio Operator also survived everything her Name was Kanady
i had a mechanic named craig who saved my gunners and other crew members during combat, but on one run i sent him out to fix an engine and he got shot off the plane and fell to his death... remember to always grab a parachute before you go outside
@@bouncingshot weird how it’s almost always the engineer who survives longest
I have a tip. Don't emergency dive while someone is repairing outside (repairing engines).
hahaha I JUST did this.....
Or if you feel like you might have to, equip the engineer outside with a parachute
I learned this the hard way :’(
Karl Medel Encabo and also don’t send the engineer to repair the engine on landing. Rip Ansel the brave engineer
I did this -_- i was trying to go through the game without losing anybody and the damn guy fell off 😭
Finished operation chariot
1 wheel
2 missing engines
Fuel tank empty (near empty on Landing)
Engineer gone (fell of Wing) [had parachute was recovered]
All crew alive and well
Plane later renamed to “the lucky landing”
Just finshed operation overlord (D-day)
0 plane
0 crew
I still completed it though
Been playing the USAF DLC had completed the graff zeppelin mission with one engine (for the majority of the mission) all rear gunners dead apart from the ball gunner bombider was bleeding out no landing gear so crashed onto the runway apart from the rear gunners everyone else survived and killed the ace Melvin
After Operation Chariot: Slight damaged right landing gear, missing left engine, boat survived on a sliver of health, one crew member died due to not enough med kits, plane fully intact and hardly received that bad of damage
It would be hard if you HAD fuel.
Without fuel I’m assuming you dropped your bomb so that should be plenty easy.
Awesome!
Or get ammo feeds
I always make all my guns ammo feed except for the middle guns cause the ammo reload is right there.
Wait they can have 3 reloads?!?! 😂
Bruh I Cant Stop Laughing Over The Fact That His 1 And Only Mission Is To Lose His Viginity XD
Tips :
- When engaging approaching fighters, select Focus and / or Incendiary.
Great tips!
What is the best termal protection for high altitude, I realized that having both electrical mittens and boots allows my crew to be at highest but I don't know if it was a bit too much.
The thing is the outer engines get shot the most so those should be armored
(When planes come from the side the outer engine tanks dmg instead of the inner getting hit
@Ronaldo Radonić got electrical boots and heavy gear for almost all of my crew, only the Engi is build on the speed, but he got electrical boot whit mittens (off fingers).
@chris plays Yes, that's true, but i prefer to have my landings gears and my inner engines protected. ;)
Also remember to LOWER landing gear before landing.
Oh god that sounds like a simple thing to do, but...yeah RIP to 2 different planes.
The thing is when I’m missing one landing gear and I try to emergency land my pilot kills the whole crew
Idk if they updated it or it is different on the switch but my pilot always goes around if I forget to put my landing gear down which let me tell you it saved me tons of times
Well in the game it makes it to where u can't land without the landing gear unless u put it down then put it up but who would do that
@@Angel_Games09 must have been updated. 😅 (old man voice) I remember back in the day, you could emergency dive at low altitude. 😅 Which of course resulting in smacking into the ground.... 😐😑 That got changed. Also locking the pilot in the pilot seat so you couldn't accidentally send them off elsewhere.... 😑
Tip: bomb the secondary target after taking a photo, you'll get an additional 1250 xp.
Ok thanks
This is my best tip; to bomb everything right after you photograph it, mad points !!!
I only install the tail and nose turrets with ammo feed.
That's what I do
@@frednet1232 are you early or late game?
@@electricheisenberg5723 I don't really play much anymore so I can't remember what I did.
This means that any extra thermal gear that puts you above 40 isn't necessary and won't help you.
ily
Love this game. It would be cool to see a tank version too.
IkanaMusicBox that’s a cool idea
I think a Pacific war addition would be nice, like attacking aircraft carriers or dropping nukes on Hiroshima.
IkanaMusicBox your funny
Not sure if you know this yet but another game company made a tank crew game now, its called: Armored Battle Crew
@@dizzynoodles1758 the games a cash grab and hasnt been uptade in a year and the devs work for Ubi now
Perform an upwards arm movement upon the enemy leader
nazi's are cowards
If you have spare bombs you can bomb the photo targets for free xp
Yeah man.
LOL
Hahaha 😐
here a couple tips that mayby importat or common to miss:
-always remember to lower the landing gear when landing
-when going on a long mission remember to lean most of the time
-use defensive ability when there too many enemy figher at your area
-never use the top gunner on high altidute beacuse enemy mostly will come from below
-make sure your bomber is a gunner so he can switch to front gun when nessesary
-always bring 1 parachute for enginner (usefull when he go out to repair one of the engine)
-blew up a photo opportunity when photo already tanken (give extra money)
-remember to lock pilot so pilot cant get out of his seat and make the place crash
-have engineer as backup pilot just in case the main pilot go down
-make sure you have the right set of armour for diferent type of mission
-remember to lower landing gear when emergency dive
-call in the spitfire if you are getting overwhelm and defensive ability is rechargeing
-use the slow motion ability when nessesary or multiple thing happening at once
-boost when you have a time limit or at a area effective to a flak gun to evade them
-make sure engineer is fast and atlesat lightly armoured to repair broken engine or broken system
-make heavy gunner heavy armoured so it can survive a lot of hit before dying
-never go high on the sky without oxygen and themperature on a high level
-make sure your crew can survive landing on water and land so they can be recovered better
-sometime ammo feed is better than ammo belt in some way
-never leave a crew hanging around idle doing nothing
-never leave engineer on wings idle
-make sure to leave the captain medium armoured so he can still bail and survive hits
-radio for recon if you sure there a lot of flack up ahead
-use custom heading when nessesary
-try to evade effective flak (the one that explode directly at you when you enter the area)
-remember to mark enemy figher and ace before prioritizing orange waypoint
-dont use emergency landing when landing on the airfield (trust me dont)
-use the pilot ability when in danger or something dangerous happening
-diferent time and weather effect area recon so dont be affraid to cancel the mission if the weather is bad
-use the medic ability on one gunner (preferably the mid)
-make sure to bail at the moment all engine is lost
-dont use boost when landing (bad idea it gona make the plane crash)
-try and call spitfire when nessesary like a ace at your location
-dont be affraid to land with a empty fuel tank useing emergency landing
-dont try to speedrun milkrun make sure you dont miss the photo opportunity when you are not in a big danger or critical condition
My best tip and a bit of a cheat. If you happen to lose your crew or a crew member or if you happen to crash, bail or anything that ends in losing crew or a plane. Immediately exit the game. Just exit the game. Don't give it a chance to autosave.
You're welcome
i have an tip too:
when you put your engineer in a wing for repair it (example: Loosing fuel or engine damaged)
before giving him the order to repair the wing, don't forget to give him a a parachute.
I find that adding a ventral turret so you don't get bullied by the Shrage Musik cannons, the ones that go underneath you and shoot at the belly of your aircraft. Also fly at Medium altitude whenever you can to avoid as much flak as you can
Just getting back into this game, thanks for the video!
(really enjoyed it by the way)
my top tip. You can make your crew drop ammo they are carrying by telling them to move to a non gun position while there carrying the ammo. Use this to move ammo close to the tail and front gunner during quiet sessions so during combat they don't have to run all the way to the ammo crate.
Im late but i have a goooood tip if you have only 1 landing gear left use lean when landing so you wont lose ur plane and crew
my tip : be really careful in the secret weapons dlc second mission, because if u are too close to the fuel tanks when you bomb them, your plane explodes c;
Did you not read what the commander said.
It's all about levelled up crew - you can't allow them to die during the mission.
Therefore:
- Set up at least 6 spots for equipment, 4 x first aid kit and 2 x fire extinguisher (it can be 3 x double rack or 2 x triple reck). Don't bother with parachutes - you don't want to lose the plane you invested that much money as well
- If things going bad and you know you won't make it safe home, just hit esc key and leave to main menu. Then, you can load last game state, right before unlucky mission. If you crash the plane and see the summary, it's too late, save is owerwritten. You have to abort game either until plane lands with dead crewmen or until it hit the ground.
- Use auto tag often, but watch the radar first. If only one enemy group is incoming, don't waste cooldown
- Tail turret should always have belt feed
- Electric and hydraulic systems should be at least 3-rd grade to avoid malfunctions
- You can approximate your location on map using radio call for recon - even with clouds, you will see where you are approximately.
I also think it would be cool to stray from bombers, and being the allies, with a
"U-Boat" version.
Aleksander K if you spend a lot of time and money in your crew i suggest getting big gear racks for more parachutes, and medical kits
I swear if androids exist they would have your voice. Its so calm and straight. A perfect english and male accent
Tip: Buy your tail gunner belt fed ammo before the top gunner, the top gunner is right next to the ammo box
Some tips of my own, a bit late I suppose.
1. The engineer is the only crew member that can cross-train as a pilot. Due to how much of a lifesaver the pilot's skills can be, I like to train the engi as a backup pilot.
2. In my opinion, the optimal cross-trains are:
Bombardier: Engineer or Medic- Bombi works well as a second engineer, although they do have to work a turret.
Primary gunners: Engineer
Secondary gunners (anyone working a non-essential gun, like the waist gunner on the b-17): Medic
I love the game, it is very in-depth, but it’s very difficult
Always lock your pilot. Most of my crashes have happened not due to the enemy action but due to the player's (meaning: my own) action when trying to move the engineer I have accidentally sent the pilot to repair something. Also, related to that: select the crew from the left side menu, not from inside the plane to prevent that stupid error from happening.
Selecting from the left menu sounds like the simplest thing that will save me from now on! Lol
Here's A Good Tip That Most People Might Already Know
1:Always Run The British
2:Use Lightweight Mk-1 Engines for inner and Mk-4 engines for outer
3:Also Use 20-MM Cannons For All Turrets
4:Use Mk-3 Armoured Fuselage Or Mk-4 Armoured Fuselage
5:Crew Members Should Use The List Here-V
Thermal Mittens And Boots[Cheap And Useful]
Mk-2 Leather flying cap
Mk-2/3 Thermal Flight suit
Advanced-02 Bottle
Combined survival vest[The Original Not The Toughened One,Due to It Being Expensive And Less Reliable]
[This Will Also Make Your Crew Look Cool]
Anyway These Are My Tips
Great vid flack
fun fact: some recon photos can be bombed for even more xp, but not all so *only do it if you have spare bombs*
I just lost 5 people on a run and lost the plane on landing. This helps
Load your guns before taking off. you can have 3 magazines in spare plus the one in the gun. you start with only 2.
TheGeocacheHunter they aren’t magazines, it’s not a rifle or hand gun
They patched that. Its not possible anymore
Another tip: take more ammo during the early stages of the flight, so the gunner won’t need to reload as often
I love this game , Although I play on a PlayStation it’s a bit hard keeping up with all the controller commands and tasks at once , but the challenge is fun !
❤️ this game and ur vids!
Thanks dude!
Bro I can Do all of these things but I hate when the enemy planes follow you all the way back to your base
Love the game, ironically already did half of these tips before looking this up but I appreciate the reinforcement to my strategy
Always use the ammo feeding guns when you get them frees your crew up so you don’t have to worry about getting ammo for them
Most of my sorties consist of me flying at mid altitude until I get close to the target.
I noticed when you have planes targeted, and your radio op moves away from his station, you lose lock... why
you should do a playthrough
Very useful tutorial!Thanks!
Still got better graphics than CoD.
Halo 4**
When your crashing, put your crew in the seats, exept for the back gunner as the back of the plane may fall off, the rule buckle up does apply to planes too.
R.i.p c Shaw gunner / J thompson engineer
Don't ever move the pilot unless its to bail out or heal. If its to heal make sure you put someone in the pilot seat asap.
Another tip get ammo feed it’s so much better so your crew doesn’t have to get up and get ammo. I’ve got 20mm cannon with ammo feed at rear same with dorsal turret, middle and front 303x4 with ammo feed
one tip:
Name your engineer Scotty
When I was playing this I landed with my engineer on the left wing and the WHOLE left side of the plane exploded and killed my engineer and someone else
Tip:
You should start flying high altitude as soon as you have electric gloves and boots.
Then use autotag and have my engineer shoot all the fighters under me.
thnx for the tips!
Here's a good tip: Bail out automatically wins the mission
(joke)
this game stresses me out so much. the permadeath haunts me
Tip: if returning from dangerous mission, have all crew except navigator and pilot leave, so if the plane gets destroyed, you have most of your crew
Always try to get the flak vest's for the crew, it saved my ass a lot of times
I desperately needed this thank you.
1: when missing 1 gear bailout most crew (not pilot and enginer) at low altitude before landing and transfer all fuel to side that has working gear
2: dont forget to use crew abilities like focus, auto tag, lean etc.
3: dont use all bombs on one target because if u miss u cant try again
4: when bombing with big bombs dont bomb at low altitude like how the guy did in this vid cuz it will blow u up
5: use emergency dive to put out fires but careful because crew cant move while diving and if anyone is on wing they will fall off
Haven't played the game myself because I don't have a PC powerful enough to do so.

Tip to show
ANYONE CAN OPERATE A STATION.
If the pilot dies, the bomber can take over, you ARE NOT DEAD!!! IT EVEN SAYS IN THE TIPS AT THE TOP
"Anyone can operate a station at a basic level" OR "if the pilot goes to the bed to heal, don't forget to get someone else in the pilot's seat" ALSO, IF YOU ARE LOW ON FUEL AND ARE ON allied territory, emergency landing
ultrajd just get a simple laptop, I think a Mac could run this
Thanks so much man
When landing with only one landing gear: transfer all fuel to the working side, drop all bombs before landing, slow down with lean
Good tip for starter get the Bombadier Gunner as 2nd skill
Thats what i do
I flew 4 perfect missions then I lost two crew members to my electrical system failing and us not shooting the plane underneath us and lack of medkits after that I recovers did a few more missions did my second main mission and died
You can destroy the recon photo places while you are taking a picture it gives you an extra 1000xp you have to be quick tho on pc
If your choices are upgrade the plane or upgrade crew kit, upgrade crew kit. Less likely to be lost no matter what while the plane is more likely to not make it home
For the crew members who you never move, always give them the heaviest armor and don’t use the presets
thanks
I got some tips for everyone.1 is that focus on upgrading ur top gun bc that is the main damage dealer to enemys.2 is that i alwase have my bomber and sometimes my engeneer have there 2nt skill a gunner.3 when ur fighting a enemy ace use your focus on ur guns when he's going to shoot at u bc he won't move out of the way when he's gana fire at u but when u use focus on the gunners they will just fire strait at them and it makes it like 10% easyer to kill them.
I love it its so cool
Nice video
If you only have 1 wheel heres what you do
Lower your landing gear
Send everyone as close to the front as possible (underbelly ball turret is the dead turret)
Use lean on approach and during landing (bit late is better than too early)
Pray to your god
Celebrate your successful return
or just transfer your fuel to the side of which the landing is still intact
Another one, once you start see those bastards that go under you, start dropping your left over bombs, or, is you hate them, you can drop the bombs on them, I used this on jager when he was a little to slippery to kill and made it home alive
Upload gameplay of this game. Plz
hey, I am losing my plane and crew when I come for landing missing a one landing gear and explode on touchdown, how can I avoid that ?
I was thinking about outfitting my crew for speed because my plane always goes down and I think it's because of the fact that my crew is always deadly slow can I get help with that
Extra fourth tip:
Radio operator should be a mechanic (in case you forget your engi is on the wing)
Rear gunner secondary does not matter
Middle gunner should be medic
Pilot does not matter and should never move. In the event they die, you should aim to be at the highest altitude possible.
Engineer should be trained as gunner. As stated, the pilot DOES. NOT. MOVE. The only 2 reasons for pilot removal:
Impossible landing (both gears are broken, can get over Britain)
pilot bleed out (navigator should be moved to pilot seat, heal ASAP.)
Bomber is obvious gunner
Nav should be an engineer in case 3 engines break and you need more cannon fodder. Really though nav only moves when pilot does.
I only kept adapting to new moves and forgetting my bad habits
Two misconceptions that I had that have been screwing me over wildly, I never knew Abort meant go home... I thought it was a way of cancelling maneuvers lmfao. I also didn't know first aid did that, I thought that first aid made reviving faster.... I feel really dumb.
Some times when I bomb the objects it is too stressful
I am interested in getting this. The current release date seems to be 3/14/19.
Redleg Gunner Has it was already released, in fact I play it
Fly in mid altitude, so you lower gun turret can shoot enemy plane too
Flakfire I just played conquest on bf! xbox one with you I think! still am its on nevil nights!
Yup! You were on stream then :)
then i died in front of loads of people lol. and now i have a story about killing one of the best battlefield players of all time
My bomber will be thriving with mid fuselage cannons, armored parts, mark 3 engines, good crew, and I honestly feel indestructible, but GOD DAMN Felix the ace goes and destroys one of my landing gear and I have to start over again and I don’t know what to do
Tip : Duplicate your save before tough mission (C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\Runner Duck\Bomber Crew)
The best thing to do in this is 'When in doubt, get the fuck out'... Just run ir abort if you feel like you can't do the mission
Tip dont be afraid to bail out its better too lose a pilot and air plane then the whole crew and the air plane
it was prob my first 3 (maybe 2) hours of game in the lancaster, lost 3 engines, i think someone was bleeding out, lost 3 engines, only one working, i sent the engineer outside, for at least reapir one.....that plane is now at the bottom of the English Channel
Well am I playing it wrong
Because I armored my crew to 46% of speed, but now they can fly everywhere and they never freeze at realy high altitudes
AND I LOVE MY CREW
Tip if you have the funds BUY THE AMMO FEED TURRETS! I can not stress this enough, also spam focus when thar be enemies trying to deport your crew into the ground
Altitude is your friend unless it to cold for your crew
Last night my B17 tail came off and crashed into the ocean, only the navigator survive. RIP Flying right
I've lost 3 bombers and 9 crew so far, but my current bomber, "Wishful Thinking" with crew has been going strong for almost 15 missions so far. This is on Xbox.
Nice!
Tip. Sell first 2 equipment slots for 800 refund. Save and quit. Load, repeat. Infinite money. It always re adds the first 2 slots free of charge, you keep all the money.
only at beginning ?
or anytime?
When dropping bombs, watch your 6. Seriously, I lost 3 bombers to accidentally bombing the plane below me. I lost 3 engineers, 3 pilots, 2 bomb droppers, 5 gunners and 1 navigator, no radio operators were harmed but still, you feel very stupid and you don’t even destroy the target
i know im late to the party, but to enemy aircraft scale?
Cant imagine how did the RAF won the Battle of Britain with pilots that needed to be commanded to lower the gear before landing and gunners that just keep reminding you that they are out of ammo with an ammo box 2 feet away ( yes i'm talking about you dorsal gunner)
I'd say be careful for the rear gunner as in real life and in this game the enemy likes to shoot the rear and a few times I had no medkit left my rear gunner died so watch out for rear gunner
