I used a homemade acrylic baffle to wall off my fish (9 including 4 tangs, 2 midas blennies, cleaner wrasse, 3 anthias) in my 150 gallon. I secured the baffle with packing tape to my glass once the fish entered that end of the tank. Catching them was outsmarting them.
Only good thing about this is the food delivery system, I think my acrylic box with sliding door is better in every other way. Unlike this floating ring design the glass door comes down so fast the fish doesn’t have a chance of escape. Another pitfall with this trap is the fish is able to simply jump out the top.
It looks nice and a good concept but fish are fast and the reaction time of most fish are going to beat that trap half of the time, like your sailfin did. I love some of the most recent trap door mechanisms companies like Seaside have been improving on and have had frequent success with those, would recommend those over this
Hello Armando This is Steve I wanted to ask you do you still have the corals I gave you ? Also do you want to put them in your tank any time soon?sure would love to see them I’m thinking of starting a new tank some time soon

Great video and that added reefing quality is certainly needed - patience. 👌
This trap works😃 I used it to catch a troublesome hawkfish that was attacking my trigger fish.

Leave more slack on the air and feed line. Then It will go up faster and won’t get caught up.

I haven’t taken a look at the new seaside ones. Tank matez mentioned they have a specific trap for fast fish. I’m guessing the floater must bigger.
@@eatsleepreef9565 I will have to look into it, the functions seem easier like the feed tube too so this very well could be an awesome product
@@I3IMBO13AGGINS We have some customer trap videos on our site, here: www.tankmatez.com/pages/tankmatez-customer-videos We are still building it up.
What I think makes this trap so effective is.......
