I have a 7.5 inch wrist and some sweet vintage dress watches from the 1960s. I would consider 33mm perfectly wearable at my wrist size as this was a far more common size among vintage men's watches and actually looks very tasteful rather than walking around with something with all the subtly of a kitchen cabinet attached to my wrist.
@@BrittPearceWatches It's a good size on a man's wrist. I have a 34mm Junghans Max Bill with the lovely powder blue dial. The Nomos, like the Junghans, is a watch with a huge amount of dial real estate relative to its size. In appearance I image both watches look visually more like a 36/37mm watch due to the absence of bezel to shrink the dials down.
@@Greysprunkiyay I have multiple watches well at or over 42mm including the Squale's 2002 professional diving watch which I am wearing right now and sits comfortably on wrist so your assertion is mistaken. I am aware of my own wrist size, as any watch fan is. This does not negate my opinion that the smaller, mid-30s watches look good on the wrist, sit well and traverse cuff without issue or distortion to clothing.
I just recently (like last month) started getting into wrist watches, and I gotta say that your channel is my favorite. Your positive energy in each video is contagious. Also, Nomos is my favorite brand too. I got their new classic club and I think it’s an amazing watch. Now I’m trying to find their special edition Ludwig Westphalia in 35mm. Thanks again for the fun content, Britt.
As an itty bitty wrist committee member I thank you for this review. Nomos are just winning with this one. I’m a female Watch collector and I don’t own a watch with diamonds (yet 😂). I always sigh when I see a lazy design aimed more for a female audience. This is so considered and purposeful. Well done Nomos 🎉
What a delightful wonderfully small watch. Love this "quickfire" video Britt! Lol. I'm glad we actually have ADs here in Los Angeles that carry Nomos. I definitely want to see how this looks on my wrist. I don't mind smaller watches.
@@BrittPearceWatches there is one thing we don't have in LA. We don't have a Swatch Boutique. So I can't get the next overpriced plastic fantastic Swatch collab watch, lol
As a fan of dress watches (especially vintage ones), I quite like this. The Metro and the Orion are some of my favorite Nomos watches. What a brand, in the capital of German watchmaking, an independent company with most of its work done in-house. The movement looks great, too. I may be a male consumer with a medium-sized wrist, but I like small watches, and I agree that there is a lack of such watches in the market today. Also, there is no need to be too concise. Say everything you want to say. The videos are enjoyable and do not feel too long.
Love Nomos, but I wish they added more layers on their dials - it would not have to go against Bauhaus principles, like they did on the small seconds they can raise or lower the minute track or sandwich markers or do something to make the face a little more intricate instead of leaving all the fun on the backside.
Probably the nicest Nomos I've seen, I agree about the lugs the proportions are so much better. I normally wear up to 42mm but I have a vintage Accurist 34mm and 8mm thick, like the Nomos a very slim bezel so the watch doesn't look that small.
I dunno, Britt. I think 8.5 mins is plenty short for a quick review, and some interesting bits about a brand. Being more concise might just feel rushed. Just do your thing! We're here for it 👍 Also, Nomos was my first big love when I got into watches heavily 6 years ago; I bought the Topper Edition Weltzeit, and an Orion. I agree with your sentiments entirely and only love them more as they grow.
When I heard that “Noooobody!” Bad-Boy Furniture ad, I totally had a flashback to the early ‘90s! I live in Erie, PA, and I used to watch Channel 10 on my rabbit ears from across the lake. Thanks, Britt!
Britt, you absolutely smashed the 4 minute mark! Almost double, what a champ 😀 Regarding the watch, I'm male with smaller wrists and think the sage and silver models look lovely, I'd be keen to try them on
Agree! That silver one is gorgeous. This whole Metro 33 collection is amazing! I'm trying to get my wife into the hobby, but she's not a watch person. The only watch she's seen that she liked was a freakin' "A. Lange and Sohne Saxonia 380.033", haha... too big for her to wear (oh, and it's expensive for what I was told 🤣) Let's hope this Nomos dethrones the Lange!
Nomos is such a great brand! I found a Tetra Ode to Joy with display caseback for a bit over 1.4k just five weeks ago and couldn't resist. It is my first watch with a hand wind movement since my childhood so I have to get used to winding it every day. But the build quality, the laid back approach with the color and the grey / green suede strap are just gorgeous. And of course the possibility to have a look at this great movement is really enjoyable. These colorful Metro look really nice! My favourite is the red one but there is another red one on my radar which I feel tempted to since 15 years and this year I want to finally get it.
It’s not that my 7.75” wrist is too large for these, it’s that my 59 year old eye sight couldn’t read those tiny sub seconds dials without a magnifying glass. But these are so cool. Thanks!
I just recently dipped my toe in the Nomos pool. Was shoppig for my wife for anniversery gift (#24 on 1/8/24!) and en route to finding her a Cartier Panthere with diamond set bezel, I walked out with a the midnight blue dial Zurich World Time. It's a great watch, and I would be surprised if I end up with more from this brand. So many watches, so little time! Cheers!
my wife bought me a Ludwig back in 2013, it's my one and only "fancy watch". I absolutely love it till this day. it has been 11 years and still performs phenomenally. Interestingly that my Ludwig has a open casing back, which I don't see it on the website anymore. :)
I used to live in Scarborough, 2011-2014. I also drove through your hometown on the way to Algonquin park and stopped for coffee once or twice. We may have passed each other at some point
I have 2 Nomos watches, a Club Campus 36 and a Tetra. I would, with a 7.5 wrist not hesitate to get one of these beauties. I have some vintage watches that are around 34mm or slightly smaller and have really come to love the look of smaller watches. Anyway, a new watch to put on my wish list!
Astonishing it is to see so many skilled watch companies gathered together in one small village … from Glashütte Nomos to Glashütte original, Glashütte Union and a few others and of course above all A. Lange und Söhne. Not only the Swiss knows how to make watches
I bought a Nomos Tangante last year in Munich and it is my favorite watch, even as a daily. The dynamic range of dress watches for men just don’t get their due. Good outside the norm sizing, bold and fun colors, and all from a German Brand with a proven/famed in-house movement? What's not to like?!? Big question - how do you feel the Nomos infamous long lugs for this model wears on your wrist? You mention them, but don't think you elaborated your perspective.
Ahhh ok! Good question Salty! I think the long lugs definitely make it wear larger. Usually 33mm would be a size I'd think is too small for me. I don't really like going under 34mm. But with the lugs and the way they wrap around the wrist - it makes it wear that little bit larger. Even James said he doesn't think it's too small on him! You don’t have to rush the video - or is there a particular reason? I think everyone will be happy to make time for your videos as before :) The proportions of this Nomos are much better in terms of lugs and the sage green is nice. But at £2k it’s twice the price of the Junghans Max Bill 34mm hand wound version. After all they make the original of the minimalist style, so it would be Junghans for me.
Forget the timer, we like a bit of waffle 👍. That Nomos looks great on you and I think they should use those lugs on the men's watches, the standard lugs are the only thing I don't like about their watches. These are so much nicer than the bubble dial Rolex.
Lovely presentation, Britt, and a lovely watch. With almost no bezel it looks bigger and real men wore plenty of 34s back in the day. I have a 16cm (6.3") wrist and with experience I can say a 35mm Tangente wears perfect and I'd wear this for sure. I do object to how much Nomos charges extra for display case backs however. That really IS 'taking the p^^s".
I really love Nomos but they are too elegant for me, I don’t think you can gush too much about them. As much as I like Nomos, I feel the rest off the range has just taken a step into the shade. These new Metro's are probably the most well resolved watch they make. Wow

Great video.
Can you review Muhle sometime?
This Metro line does resemble Junghans Form A so much. Striking similarity. 😊
33's a great dress watch size for any wrist size. 33-37 is the perfect size for a dress watch. 39 max ONLY IF the lugs hug the wrist and are short.
You don’t have to rush the video - or is there a particular reason? I think everyone will be happy to make time for your videos as before :)
The proportions of this Nomos are much better in terms of lugs and the sage green is nice. But at £2k it’s twice the price of the Junghans Max Bill 34mm hand wound version. After all they make the original of the minimalist style, so it would be Junghans for me.
don't change, you are refreshingly kooky.
Whaaat! this has absolutely made my day! ^_^ Thank you so so much!
For a while there it looked like your husband's wrist size was going to blow out past 8", glad to see it's coming back under control.
Love my Tangente 38! Nomos is the Grand Seiko of Germany…
Personally I'm glad you failed to meet the timer... it's always interesting stuff, why would anyone want less?! 😎👍
Wrist shrinkage! He was in the pool!
Hehe! WELL! He says it's because he's not rock climbing/bouldering anymore! ;) That's our leading theory!
Doing 4 minute Fridays that are around 8 minutes long seems like a great idea. 😄
Fast Friday reviews sounds good! Or Fast Friday Fun reviews😅
I like your rambles you dont need to be concise but I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor lol
Brown jumper - pink sweatpants - green watch dial, still processing this image! 😵💫
LOL. That's watch PAPI! He's a bold guy!
I really love Nomos but they are too elegant for me, I don’t think you can gush too much about them.
As much as I like Nomos, I feel the rest off the range has just taken a step into the shade. These new Metro's are probably the most well resolved watch they make. Wow
Four minute Friday!!
