My father bought a brand new Ford Cortina in 1966, but don't think it rusted that quickly. He sold it eventually (no idea what year) for a 1967 Hillman Hunter - in fact I had driving lessons in that car - very nice car to drive.
Looks like an interesting test, if they ran it today, nobody would be on the roads. Cheers

That Cortina is only a year or so old and rusting already
