When you heated the oven to 220 degrees, was the temperature in F or in C? That could make a huge difference for USA viewers.

Do you think I could just break the red and amber pieces through the holes for the lights and then just pull the broken pieces out

Well the thing is when doing the process you want to not crack your light so if urs are already crack it might just be better to get other and do it from them
