  • In today's episode I will show you results after installing 'Messy Garages' clear lens for the Lexus SC400, SC300, and Toyota Soarer.
With some time and a few tools you can achieve a crystal clear and clean look with oem headlights.
    Things you will nees:
    1. The clear lenses
    messy-garages-...
    2. Self-confidence
The first step into completing this is having enough confidence to tackle the project. If you are nervous, low self esteem, or don't know how to even remove your headlight with Google as a source. Quit before you break something.
    3. A putty knife
    The thinner the better
    4. An oven, heat gun, and cardboard box.
These are the three meothds of heating up old headlight glue from factory. The older your headlights the more heat you'll need.
    5. Buytl tape
This is a gummy like adhesive to put everything back together. You could re-use your old tape. However I recommend a fresh lining for best results.
    6. Clamps or zip ties
Clapms or zip ties will help you have a tight and secure assembly. Slowly add more pressure and heat to socket back together like OEM.

Brings back memories when I installed my Supermade clear lenses. Clear lenses make a HUGE difference. They look great on your car!

wow the difference with clear vs oem . awesome video brotha ! personally i love the look of the clear lens. thanks for the tips with this though , i've been wanting to do my tail lights for a while just scared of the glue process lol

Yeah, it's a great look that updates the look to more modern. I really need to find my ppf. Who knows how long the cloudless central valley sun will toast them up. Don't be afraid of the glue process, it's just messy and has to be at the right temperature.

I think 2021+ Lexus is350 style headlights would nice on the our sc300s, they're some what about the same size and shape. Especially on your body kit

Damn, the wire wheel to clean out the channel was a good idea, i ended up using a hair dryer to heat up the channel. Clamps are also a great idea. Wish i would of thought of that 😭. Great work & breakdown as always!

Yes, you answered your own question. If it's not leaking from the rubber, take it apart and reseal it.

    • @Mikkelism
      @Mikkelism  11 месяцев назад

They are holding up good. However I have a 1 off case. Summer of 2023 had 110°+ days for like a week straight. The clear started to flake off. But do remember, this is extreme cases.
