Recently purchased this game with all the add-ons. I liked it very much, a lot of different cars, tracks, beautiful. I liked the force feedback. Now this is my main and favorite game. At first I was not accustomed to after acc. I also like acc and rfactor2, but unfortunately there is not enough time for everything.
I got on board early with AMS2 and immediately liked it, I’m glad it now gets the love it deserves. I flick between this for fun and then iracing for the serious stuff
A nice detail about how this game is packaged imo is also the default setups. If the default setups sucked, with this many new tracks and classes to explore, it would be a huge pain in the ass. But luckily, almost every car/track combination has felt awesome to just pick up and drive so far. There's definitely a few seconds you can get out of each car/track with some tweaking, and they tend to err on the safe side, but they're very good nuetrally handling setups.
I bought the game at 2/1/22 out of 74 euros in steam (full game and 2020-2022 season pass dlcs) before i watched your video but it seems that we were thinking the same thing at the same time. Game looks really good to my eyes. I was playing ACC for a long time but quick races etc. Due to many hours of work I m not such a competitive sim races. I just want to get in and start playing without messing around with setups so much. And that is what this games offer. So many cars and so many tracks that if you play 2-3 races per day you could play for 1-2 years a different scenario every time. ACC in the other hand is a masterpiece but ok, I m bored of playing Monza and Spa all the time in a GT3 car. Physicswise AMS2 is one of the greatest open wheel experiences I ve ever had really. And the skins send the immersion to another level.
The thing i love the most about AMS2 is the classic racing. You got race cars from pretty much every era and the old track layouts to go with it. That is something i haven't really seen in other racing sims, most of the competitors focus primarily on current day racing. But man driving 70s F1 cars on the old tracks prior to all the shicanes is fun.
got AMS2 in Steam Winter sale , excited to see the improvements and excited to try something other than iracing and ACC. I do this this is the game and engine that will lead in the future.
Its in the same category for me that i had both AC's in until i tried them. Anytime im on steam i look at it and think, ive heard so many good things about this sim... ill try it next time i get on steam. I did that with both AC's for the past 2 years and finally got them a few weeks ago and they didnt disappoint. From the videos ive watched on AMS2 i need to try it it looks like a lot of fun.
Super video dedicated to AMS2! For me the most recent gamechanger option AMS2 has, is the step less cam setting you can make directly from the car to configure the driving view you personally want to go with! I did also a video about it! 😉
Loved AMS2 for the first year and a half of ownership of said game until I got my Simagic Alpha MIni and then I realized how broken the FFB was. It had massive oscillations at every speed no matter the settings in game or Alpha manager, but as of this update they've fixed most of the problems I had with the FFB. The game is once again my favourite, I just hope that they invest a bit more time into refining the GT3s as I love driving the BMW. I agree with most of the things that were stated in this video, great video guys! But where's Ermin? I thought he was gonna be the new host? 🤔
AMS2 with the "P3" cars and custom tune ripped off the top drivers feels insanely nice. Fell back in love with this game running hot lap after hot lap.
AMS2 has gone from a game i gave up on to now replacing AC and Raceroom as my main go-to game when i want to just enjoy driving. When I race its with a community on RF2 but many of us are looking at AMS2 as our next 'main' title. It's getting better and better and the immersion is fantastic.
This is positive to hear. As a new sim racer, I have been enjoying RaceRoom with the lowest settings on everything, and it's all my ancient PC can run right now, but as soon as the RDN3 news is out, I'm building my PC. I'm looking forward to trying out different sims, but I also only have so much time to race each week with a wife and kids. I've considered sticking with RaceRoom (but it's quite Eurocentric online, and I'm in the US, so that's a bit of a bummer for me), rF2, PC2, AMS2, AC, ACC, and iRacing. I do plan to race in VR, if possible, so that's a plus if a game can do that well, and while SP can be a great experience/a fun time, I like the thrill of online racing against other people. What's the best racing sim for online competition both in terms of player base and the racing (in the US, Friday afternoons or the weekends during the day), looks good, handles well, and good with VR? Thanks for any help! :)
@@JoMaMaz iracing covers all of those bases and has a huge US community. If the cost is an issue and your PC is modest I’m confident you could find an RF2 or AC league just by asking around in sim racing Facebook pages
@@lukede6555 It seems people keep pointing me to iRacing (with AMS2 gaining some ground in all other areas besides the user base online, currently), so I guess I'll have to prepare for the cost, lol. 😂 Although, I did read from more than one person that you can still enjoy it a lot/have a lot to do with the basic subscription. There was a guy on Reddit who had posted about RaceRoom racing in North America, but the times have all been at night, even on the weekend. I'm chatting in Discord now trying to see if they ever race on Friday afternoons or in the daytime on the weekends. If I can't get this option going, I could try out iRacing since the basic subscription isn't too bad of a price. I'm just not necessarily into "oval" racing, and it seems to be very popular on there, but I'm sure there is a lot I don't know about it. AMS2, after this recent October update, sounds like a great fit with all but the user base online. That same racing group races in AMS2, so maybe I can get hooked up with them for both R3E and AMS2, if not, iRacing may be the route I go. Thank you for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it! 🙂👍
Just picked it up and only because I love my vr sims. This game hands down has the best VR graphics that I've played. Out of ACC, and AC, dirt 2 this puts them to shame. Having fun so far glad I found this gem
VR in AMS2 is the best by far! F1 and Kartkraft really struggle to get high frame rate and graphics on my RTX2060s, AC can get reasonable frame rate and graphics with lots of tuning but not great. But AMS2 out of the box gives fantastic frame rate and graphics. Highly recommend everyone to try out VR racing especially in AMS2, it feels like a completely different game compared to flat screens. Also the Norway karting short track is the most enjoyable thing I've played in sims.
I play AMS2 on my 5.4.2 setup, in VR. The open wheel racing alone has me smiling from ear to ear all day long. I wish my neighbors appreciated the screaming v10s gen 2 at 5 am in the morning, like I did, but hey can’t win them all
As someone who is new to modding, I 100% support any tutorials/guides that can be made. AMS 2 (like PC2) seems much more intimidating to mod than Assetto Corsa or AMS 1.
I already have it, and all the extras. Haven’t played it in a long time since I finally got into iracing, and am also really enjoying the new updates to ACC, a game I initially HATED. I’ll have to load ams2 back up and see how it does. I mean it looks amazing in vr, but that’s no surprise given the madness engine.
It should be noted that on slower CPUs some custom FFB files can cause performance issues in MP and offline races where the game will appear to be working fine, but the car you drive is way slower than it should be. If it is an offline race the AI are also impacted.
Personally, I like AMS 2, some great combos like McLaren MP4/4 around Adelaide 1988, Aussie Racing Cars on Adelaide 2016, Merc AMG GT3 around Adelaide 2016 under lights at night, GT's around Bathurst in a 12hr, driving trucks with a shifter, a sound bar is a must for V8 ute racing & Super V8's, but I would like to see Reiza improve 250cc Superkart handling as grip is inconsistent unlike the real thing that I have raced.
I should try this in VR again. PC2 is unplayable in VR, not to mention the atrocious ffb. When I briefly tried ams2, I noticed the steering felt a lot more like AC than PC2, which is a good thing.
Sounds exciting. If I can have a rating and matchmaking system comparable to iracing, I'd jump ship in a heartbeat. Right now, it's just sitting on my hard drive collecting updates.
The only reason I play ACC over AMS2 is the multiplayer. In ACC you can find a race at any moment and compete with players at any skill level. Despite that, in AMS2 I feel the car much better, don't know if it's the force feedback or physics but you know exactly what is happening with the car at any moment while in ACC the car just speaks when it's needed.
They did this game Copa Petrobras de Marcas and it's pretty good, I thought Automobilista would be more of it centralized as the main rather than the Brazilian version of Project Cars 2.
Omg AMS2 has been good and the same process happened with ACC its been pretty good since 6 months ago and now it is competitive with iracing because of the weather it has is amazing and when iracing release its weather engine game over until Asseto corsa 2 comes out and then acc will become obsolete
You should totally pin a comment on here about how much more improved it is after the 1.5 update (where they fixed a significant bug in their tyre model).
I’m upset that one of the top reasons was not being able to race ai online with friends. It aggravates me so much that this isn’t brought up more by content creators and isn’t seen as a plus. Regarding the mods, this game will only grow with mods if they can make a more integrated system where each update of the game doesn’t break the mods. No modder wants all their hard work to continuously be useless after the next game update, nor do players want to get online, see an awesome mod they want to try out, and can’t because it’s for the previous version of the game…
Do the formula cars feel comparable to iracing? Iracing is cool in all but im already $60 in and feel cheated with the amount of tracks and cars available, just doesnt feel worth it to go any deeper down the black hole.
I just got AMS 1 and I think the Formula cars is it's strong point so far even If the rest also great. They feel really nice and the sound in this game on F1 cars have me smiling, especially v10, v12, classic and Reiza I think it was. The sound is just so dirty and nice, I hope they didn't clean it up too much in AMS 2, something many gaming studios do and all of a sudden you have this clean sterile sounding game and sound is a big factor for immersion. That's why I don't drive the Formula Extreme and Formula Ultimate in AMS1, they just sound less good.
I just picked up the game for 3.05 euros and it's making a lot of fun. I got up to speed really fast. But where did you get these Formula ultimate 2019 skins?
guys, a stupid question: In AMS2 G29 Shake? Because, when I put my wheel in the ps4 seems like my cockpit gonn "fly", but in AMS2 on PC only the feedback works (after all the downloading forum and etc), the "rumble thing" don't show ourself when I drive in the kerbs, or hit something. it's normal?
Would you happen to know if A2 is still based on the original (great!) rFactor engine, or is it now using the rF2 base? I ask because this sounds like such a major leap forward...and big changes sometimes mean a change to a new sim engine.
I haven't been doing any online racing yet, so, the ai is still a big problem for me. On the same track, they can be unrealistically quick through some corners and super slow through others. When racing in a series like gt3 or gt4, the bop on each marque is such that one manufacturer would lead the pack, then a nother etc. Hope this get sorted soon as ai racing in acc for instance, actually helps you prepare for a race.
Im definitely going to try it and maybe change it into my racesim no.1 instead of Acc. I would be glad if our online community will grow and make a huge racing, competition environment. =)
Ive been looking for my next racing sim...think I found it. Glad I didnt buckle and buy any others before I came across AUATOMOBILISTA 2 and this vid. Looks killer....wondering..does it have the SauberC9 and the MAZDA 787B or tha big NISSAN R92CP...ya know, the older 1000hp death traps that I can't get enough of?? Dove those constantly in VR in GTSport...freggin loved em. This game looks like it might be GTSport on crack.....
I'm very confused with their dlc... does the season pass 2021-2022 include all dlc? also, is there a chance for dlss with this game, because AA is very bad in it...
I can't see what's great about it. Maybe it's my setup? Using a G29 wheel and it feels like there's barely any FFB, the wheel just feels too light. The graphics look super bland even with all graphics cranked to max, I've only played it on VR Rift S though. The LOD is super short and looks like textures don't fully load in until a few yards in front of you.
I have AMS2 installed, I love the GFX and content but what stops me using it is I can't get it working on triple monitors (AMD GFX card with 4 monitors - can't use eyeFinity because it includes the 4th monitor)
I was an original fan of AMS2 in the early access days, but they kept going the wrong direction and adding and fixing the wrong things instead of the major glaring issues in the physics. I finally got disillusioned and left AMS2. But the v1.3 update fixed 95% of what I had problems with. The driving feel is REALLY good now.
Cant play it since there is no support for plalying on a third monitor..... Wanted to give it another chance but after remembering that I dont want to anymore
hahaha, so funny. Physics are so far behind any other racing sim, it is laughable. The driving is so cartoonish it pisses me off in seconds, 1.3 did not change that (except that with that version you could at least trail brake and the ridiculous oversteer with any car out of corners has been improved a bit). There is a small fraction living in a bubble and still trying to hype this title (including youtubers), where in reality it has no relevance in numbers and never will have. I wonder if any fanboy ever did drive a car IRL.
What do you think about Automobilista 2 after the update? 🤔
Don't like that... already got my money back
I LOVE IT! Playing in VR in unreal!!!! F1 historical races are amazing
Love it now!
Update has made me fall in love with the game once again!

If you would choose between ACC and Automobilista 2 which one would you suggest?
Its in the same category for me that i had both AC's in until i tried them. Anytime im on steam i look at it and think, ive heard so many good things about this sim... ill try it next time i get on steam. I did that with both AC's for the past 2 years and finally got them a few weeks ago and they didnt disappoint. From the videos ive watched on AMS2 i need to try it it looks like a lot of fun.
I love AMS 2 easy to navigate UI great physics great graphics fast loading basically it has everything that is important it has locked
Super video dedicated to AMS2! For me the most recent gamechanger option AMS2 has, is the step less cam setting you can make directly from the car to configure the driving view you personally want to go with! I did also a video about it! 😉
Love this sim. it has taken over RF2 for me!!!! Great review!!
So proud the engine of the project cars series is getting the respect it deserves
The weather data implementation is kinda of mind blowing.
I wish my neighbors appreciated the screaming v10s gen 2 at 5 am in the morning, like I did, but hey can’t win them all
Can’t wait. Thanks for the video. This video has me excited.
Would love to see how to mod the game and a few ffb tips. I'm a total noob bit really getting on well with this game
Just found your channel. Excellent presentation. Liked and subscribed! Glad I found your channel!
Thank you! ❤️
It should be noted that on slower CPUs some custom FFB files can cause performance issues in MP and offline races where the game will appear to be working fine, but the car you drive is way slower than it should be. If it is an offline race the AI are also impacted.
Hi there, I would like a video in custom FFB. Keep up the good work - AMS2 is now indeed a pleasure!
You guys can be so proud of this channel, genuinely one of the best sim racing channels around.
Thank you Herr Bauer! Putting my heart and soul into these videos :) Regards, Joe!
Wow, we are very happy to hear that! Thank you so much!
Great vid and spot on with all info! I would love to see full in-depth "how-to" for AI names and mods.
Custom FFB tutorial, yes please!
reason 11, outstanding VR play. The best available
I just bought it and i love it.
AMS 2 is awesome iRacing has been my go to sim due to the online racing and community. But, this is being talked about a lot!
The best VR experience out there! ✅
Nice. I am going to try it this summer.
@ 4:15 the REDBULL F1 car running seriously low air pressure , OR are glitching into track surface???
My favorite sim now.
I should try this in VR again. PC2 is unplayable in VR, not to mention the atrocious ffb. When I briefly tried ams2, I noticed the steering felt a lot more like AC than PC2, which is a good thing.
Super divertente, impegnativo e VR fantastica!
Sounds exciting.
If I can have a rating and matchmaking system comparable to iracing, I'd jump ship in a heartbeat. Right now, it's just sitting on my hard drive collecting updates.
Man I'm from Brazil and I'm here because of Jardier videos. I'm so proud of what Reiza have been doing, the game is great!
2:05...I knew I recognised you from somewhere lol
The only reason I play ACC over AMS2 is the multiplayer. In ACC you can find a race at any moment and compete with players at any skill level. Despite that, in AMS2 I feel the car much better, don't know if it's the force feedback or physics but you know exactly what is happening with the car at any moment while in ACC the car just speaks when it's needed.
Played this video on 1,25 like all the others😅 works like a charm
glad i got it on sale.. n i havent downloaded it yet.. now is the time
They did this game Copa Petrobras de Marcas and it's pretty good, I thought Automobilista would be more of it centralized as the main rather than the Brazilian version of Project Cars 2.
Omg AMS2 has been good and the same process happened with ACC its been pretty good since 6 months ago and now it is competitive with iracing because of the weather it has is amazing and when iracing release its weather engine game over until Asseto corsa 2 comes out and then acc will become obsolete
Custom FFB tutorial? Yes please. Still finding AMS2 hard to like.
WOW AMS 2 is rocking it
Yes, please do a ffb vid. That would be great!
Yes, the best racing simulator, i love it
custom FFB installation video please :)
won’t be a long video… copy and paste …. done
A sim with proper physics would not need „custom FFB files“.
You should totally pin a comment on here about how much more improved it is after the 1.5 update (where they fixed a significant bug in their tyre model).
Please post a video with instructions for custom force feedback! Thank you!
They are better... and so many to choose from.
That's why I don't drive the Formula Extreme and Formula Ultimate in AMS1, they just sound less good.
awesome content. Please make a ffb config video for t300 rs.
Please make video on custom FFB for ams2!
Do we have a chance to see the AM Valkyrie, the Praga Bohema and the new LMDH Ferrari in the game?
ACC in the ONLY sim that won’t work on my VR rig. I wish I had refunded it. Someday maybe… Good thing I have AMS2 which works great.
I just picked up the game for 3.05 euros and it's making a lot of fun. I got up to speed really fast.
But where did you get these Formula ultimate 2019 skins?
Glad to hear! Check out this video for the skins! 😉👉 ruclips.net/video/6eJzSU9yuUg/видео.html
Definitely make a custom FFB video
Is this game good for arcade racers (like forza horizon 5) looking to get into sim racing? Also can this be played with a controller?
guys, a stupid question: In AMS2 G29 Shake? Because, when I put my wheel in the ps4 seems like my cockpit gonn "fly", but in AMS2 on PC only the feedback works (after all the downloading forum and etc), the "rumble thing" don't show ourself when I drive in the kerbs, or hit something. it's normal?
Would you happen to know if A2 is still based on the original (great!) rFactor engine, or is it now using the rF2 base?
I ask because this sounds like such a major leap forward...and big changes sometimes mean a change to a new sim engine.
Customs ffb in this game is more for non dd wheels right? Getting a lot of mixed info
Nope, the custom FFB is a good choice for everybody! Check out my custom FFB video on the channel to learn more! Regards, Joe!
Just picked it up on this sale
Defo, how to install custom ffb, where to get it from and which ones are best
I was thinking of buying either AMS2 or PC/PC2, which one do you think is the better game overall not just sim
Custom fob tutorial please!!!
Just waiting for the steam winter sale
Good to go
imagine having settings that would detect simracing gear such as Simucube !
I'm very confused with their dlc... does the season pass 2021-2022 include all dlc? also, is there a chance for dlss with this game, because AA is very bad in it...
I just like the new Champ cars and Cleveland. All the other cars that can be found in other titles drive better in other titles.
I am going to try it out again. Hopen to see more tcr cars in ams2 is ilove tcr. The ones that are in there now does not do it for me
I can't see what's great about it.
Vr is incredible!
AMS2 is awesome.
Agreed!
AMS2 is so realistic, it's hard to play for me. I have a G29, but it's matter of time. 🥺
gosh i dont know if i should save for a csl dd, a vr headset, or what now LOL
I was an original fan of AMS2 in the early access days, but they kept going the wrong direction and adding and fixing the wrong things instead of the major glaring issues in the physics. I finally got disillusioned and left AMS2. But the v1.3 update fixed 95% of what I had problems with. The driving feel is REALLY good now.
IT IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how have i not heard of this game
AMS2 was just a copy of PC2 at first. Now it feels more like AMS1 which is a good thing.
I would have started by now if it was on console
Cant play it since there is no support for plalying on a third monitor..... Wanted to give it another chance but after remembering that I dont want to anymore
The FFB and physics blows Iracing out of the water, just needs to sort out some sort of decent multiplayer
hahaha, so funny.
@@iseeq72 any other sim racer? ACC is bad, rfactor 2 is so better than anything. AMS2 is better than iracing acc
