Seeing the history of the block it's entirety makes me realize how much of a ghetto Warner Bros has created for anime on American television. Because of that Crunchyroll basically has a Stranglehold on most anime distribution in terms of streaming. It's crazy how little options there are for watching anime in the West despite such a large exposure. You basically have the few scattered shows and occasional movie on streaming services, you have Crunchyroll or the FUNimation app as the official site, or you just have to wait for it to come on Toonami. You'd figure with the success of anime on streaming you think the Legacy Media like television would stop keeping anime in this weird Saturday night ghetto and start airing it on weekday afternoons at like 5:00 or something. Things like Demon Slayer and my hero Academia have massive appeal that 14 year old audience. It was a slow transition to where Adult Swim basically started clumping all their anime together and slowly phased it out in favor of just having one night in Japanese animation. I can remember days on Cartoon Network what the more toy commercial styled anime with air on Sunday mornings and those eventually disappeared too.
