That is ridiculous. One has nothing to do with the other. That is like an employer not paying their employees who have worked hard and diligently everyday for months and just because they spoke out about something, to withhold their paychecks. It is illegal and this should be illegal as well. The students paid their tuition. They put in the required work. They have earned their degrees. Even though the diploma itself is just a celebratory piece of paper (which anyone can fake one up online), the transcripts are the real legal documents and proof. Now if the university decided to withhold their transcripts, that is illegal, but the students should still file a class action lawsuit.
Btw, maybe these students all should immediately request a few official copies of their transcripts for safekeeping and have a couple sent directly to their lawyers office for safekeeping, just in case these universities suddenly experience a hack 😉 😉 and or some type of computer glitch or virus where the students’ transcripts disappeared. Don’t put anything pass any powers that be in this country or any country for that matter.
