Aemond burned Sharp Point which is a strong supporter of the blacks and the showrunner said it was a strategic play yet the show made it out like he just burned some random town like why wouldn’t they explain that and I love how many people are seeing that he is completely right in wanting to fight this war like Alicent literally raised her children to hate Rhaenyra and now that he wants to fight and live through this war , he’s bad? Like the writers are atrocious and Aemond is a bad guy but Helaena is completely useless like I can genuinely understand why he gets pissed and I will say Rhaenyra has shown herself to be a terrible ruler this season soo I can’t blame Daemon for thinking he’d be better, almost anyone would .
Yeah Aemond is just trying to help his family survive the war but they’re making him sound like he’s crazy for doing that. I think Daemon is good when it comes to war, but I think he would be a terrible ruler unless he’s genuinely changed and learned from those visions
Aemond is trying to help survive war by burning all innocent people, and war started by him by killing Luke and taking the throne. Aemond literally starved people in kings landing and also he is far worse in books. And rhaenyra is worst ruler since she can't take a single powerful decision to end war? Can't even control the 2 new riders who speak like shit in front of her And why do you think daemon will be worst ruler, what was your reason he always obeyed the words of his brother until last and why he got angry on rhaenyra is why she dumb to consider peace once after her son killing taking throne any, one would be angry on her if your are that dumb
@@mahesh3529 because Daemon is very reckless and impulsive, so I feel like he would be a violent ruler. In my opinion the ruler should be someone who’s more on the peaceful side, that’s why I say that I don’t think Aemond would be a good ruler in the video
@@AbbyJaneReactsaemond is crazy show/books lol in the books he’s no different by the end of this show his KD is probably will be 70k most will be innocent people
you are right the writing of the first 4 seasons of GoT was so excellent, and yeah they leaned heavily on the books, but it will still a great adapatation, apart from a few shortcomings. I still enjoyed parts of s5 and s6, but 7 and 8 were like the greatest fumble ever.
@@dignes3446 S7 had ups and downs but it def started coming off the rails, especially now knowing where it all went in S8, I think it retroactively made s7 worse.
This was suppose to be a 10 episodes season, but David Zaslav (owner of WB) cut their budget to 8 episodes in the last minute. That is why this episode looks more like a ''build up episode'' than a ''finale season episode''.
The caption said "traitor" because Alys was spying on them (same way we've seen her get through to Daemon on several occasions before this; most notably, just before their conversation about the innocent suffering, so that rulers can stay in power) through her "magic" (such as it is). So when alys heard what the messenger said to Daemon, she called him "traitor" through the same means. Also; she only let him hear it, so that he would be afraid. That's why the caption said what it did. Next, the point of having armies; despite this conflict being dominated by dragons, can be summed up in one word. Tactics. Yes; the dragons are mighty, & can cow populations through fear of said strength, which holds the realm together on a macro scale. But they can't be everywhere at once. Nor can they truly HOLD cities or territory on a micro scale. They can only destroy, or act as deterrents against external threats. Doesn't do anything for the day to day realities of governance, such as petty crime ECT... Which is why Aemond destroying that city we see, without good reason; truly reveals his instability. He himself even touches on this point in one of the small council meetings; which shows that he does indeed understand, yet still burns the town anyway. After all; what truly makes those things valuable, are the people. For example, farmers farming sheep in enough numbers to feed those dragons; as we see earlier on in the season. Without them staying in one place to work the land, it becomes worthless. The flocks & peasants can run away; find other ways to survive elsewhere, away from the fighting. But a great deal of the nobles power, is only leveraged from their management of what lands they claim. Which is worked by those aforementioned masses, without them; their just like everyone else. So, the great houses need armies, or standing security forces; to keep order while the dragons are elsewhere. Armies, BEHIND dragons; are what is needed here. Not either one alone. Hope those help... 😊
