To anyone trying, I found that using retrofit escapade was the best option for boss damage. If you get two or three totems you can blow an entire mag with time to spare to switch to a special or use super. Using it plainly without a well or buff is enough on its own to move platforms. It’s also legendary which means you can rock an exotic to deal with ads or help your survivability. (Preferably Sunshot) I would not use this however if you don’t have a X2 Restoration build or Well because you need to firing on the boss the entire phase or your losing damage, so survivability is extremely important.
Dragons Breath is definitely the play here hands down, because you can fire it once and then unleash your dawblades and melee and it will ignite the boss back to back. Had some REALLY good DPS with this here build the entire run, AND DB also kills the eyes on the top floor too, extending DPS 😎
@@aksula-1 I would say Dragons Breath is the best for the final plates hands down but the plates leading up to it I find Dragons breath lacking in damage and ammo economy. After a little more than 1 rotation you might find yourself with little to no ammo. Retrofit however, isn’t really great on those final plates with how short the damage window will be if you can’t also shoot the eyes. (Which you can’t do when you need to keep shooting with retrofit in order to get full damage) BUT since you can rock something like sunshot you can easily shoot the eyes and use a fusion or somewhat optimal dps.
@@aksula-1 Its also just WAYYYY more consistent than DB, missing a single DB shot can ruin your entire flow of dps and would force you to wait 15 seconds (an entire damage window) for another full rocket. Or if you have psions all in your face you need to worry about a rocket somehow sticking to them and potentially ruining your flawless.
