Hello Ash, this is paratha roti recipe was very very good. I tried it using the exact recipe and this was simple, quick and had excellent results. I shared it with my aunt who makes Roti’s, and she was in shock that there was no salt in this Roti and yes, it was so flavorful and flaky‼️♥️‼️
This is great, my mom let me do this, and she loved it. It was my first time making it, I did make the first ones too crispy, but eventually it was at a good consistency and im doing it again rn, hope it turns out better❤❤❤
Thank you for taking the time to show us how to make this amazing paratha . I tried your recipe and method today and it came out real good. It's the best 😊👍.

This is an awesome recipe. Question, what number you have your stove on? My roti is nice and soft while it’s hot but once it cools it gets hard. What am I doing wrong 😢
Ash, this is one of my favorite roti on a Sunday morning with bigan choka. We purchased it from our local roti shop. Now we know how it’s done. Thank for sharing. Happy Wednesday 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
Looking good . I too don't like any roti brown or crisp. Gal you prappa beat up that roti, like you used to beat tassa drum na? My niece is really enjoying it gal. I like she facial expressions lol. Yall Stan blessed family ❤😁🤚💯♥️🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾👍🏽🙏
@@cookingwithash I think he mean the name "buss up shut." (I know that's the traditional name that Trinis use.) A lot of Indians from India don't like the names Caribbean Indian people use for their food. I heard a Guyanese Indian lady refer to dosti roti as 2-in-1 roti. People need to realize that sometimes names change, he need to take his argument to the Trinis for calling it "buss up shut" 🙃!
Food is not garbage sir , we are Indians fair enough but we get to name our food base up on how our ancestors knew it. Its traditionally named buss up shot by the trini and that will not change . In Guyana we call it paratas and that will not change
My own notes:
3c flour
2.5 tea bk powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 about Lukewarm water
Dough
I love that recipe it's the best I will try it Thx
My pleasure enjoy darling

What is the purpose of adding SUGAR to the dough....... ????
Was this plain flour or self raising ?
Plain all purpose flour
What brand of flor is that? I usted the gold medal brand and it did not came out like yours
I only used the five rose or Robin Hood

Delicious! What can you substitute the ghee with?
Add more butter
You can say roti, buss up shot is a type of roti
😘😘😘😘
What type of milk is required, cow milk,or whole milk
Whole milk hun
Nice recipe. How come no salt added?
Thanks, hun for me the salt is not needed bec the butter and ghee add that hit of salt but u can always add some salt if u would like 🤗
WHAT IF CRISCO IS NOT AVAILABLE? ANY ALTERNATIVE?
Add equal parts of butter and ghee to substitute the lard (Crisco)
It is roti just a different type of roti: paratha, Dahl puri, sada etc!
This one is paratha/buss up shut/
Yes 🥰
Have to make this girl
It’s a must 🙌🏼🙌🏼
It's ok to say roti, roti have different names. Sada roti, dhalpuri roti, buss up shut roti etc. They just have to ask what kind of roti.
Thanks love ❤️ appreciate your kind words
Gee and lard makes the difference i guess.
"Buss up shot" is a terrible nickname for paratha .. it's local dialect for "torn up old shirt".
The pratha looks amazing and delicious. however, would appreciate it if you do not call it by such a "garbage like" name. Thanks.
Care to explain what garbage name I called it by ???
That's what they call it in her country fool
Listen honey we are from the Caribbean we are not from India. So shut up!
