Hi I had a fear of making buss up shot and had used many other recipes with not much success. I used your recipe a couple days ago. I must say I was impressed and my roti came out fantastic. Perfectly soft and light and flaky. My confidence went through the roof. Good job with your simple and straightforward recipes. Thank you for helping me make the perfect roti.
I made this recipe this morning and it came out perfect, kneaded the flour last night, rolled it with the fat, left it overnight in ziplock bags and cooked it this morning, it came out so tender, soft and flakey. Thank you for this recipe and for explaining every step of the process, you are a great tutor 👍

Hi ...ERICA You are the Best..Not many Recipes turn out like it Should ... Now I have 2 perfect Chefs I Can Rely on. THANKS. FOR YOUR Time and Patience God Bless You.
Beautiful presentations and a yummy outcome. I tried it today because you made it seem so simple and interesting. First time mixing with milk. Honestly , I ran out of milk , but I had powdered milk on hand. I followed how much to mix for a 8oz glass and went on from there. Yep, added the vinegar also. So yes, it's possible with powdered milk also. I added a pinch of salt to the recipe ...I loved the softness and layers as I clapped 👏 my roti. It stood in place and not buss up like a rag cloth ...it was perfection ....only difference ( in my openion) , it tasted a bit too sweet. .but never the less , will keep this recipe and 1/2 the sugar part. ..keep up the good job beautiful chef .

Hi, thank you for you feedback. How many roti did you get from the recipe? To make 100 it’s going to be at least 18 times the original measurements depending on the size. I recommend making batches of 4 measurements at a time so it’s easier to mix.
the #1 roti video, thank you, but never saw one with vinegar, will give it a try. Update, I get lots of compliments for my roti based on your recipe. I make in my mixer and had to add a about 2 cup liquid - but this may depend on the flour. Followed your recipe down to the rolling pin :)
Hi, great question. I've never used buttermilk for this recipe, but I've had great feedback from people who have tried it and said it works beautifully. Let me know if you try it. 😉
Hi, yes. Ingredients: 4 cups flour 4 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp yeast (makes a soft roti 😉) 1/2 tsp salt (optional) 1 tbsp sugar (optional) 1 1/2 cups warm water (or as needed) Mix dry dry ingredients together. Add water gradually until the dough comes together. Knead 2 minutes until a smooth, soft-medium dough forms. Cover and let rest for 15-30 minutes. You’re ready to roll and cook the roti. 😉

Hi Erica love watching your videos the parathas looks so soft and delicious. I have a question what is purpose of the vinegar in the dough
Hi, thank you! 😊 The vinegar helps keep the roti soft and flaky.
@@joyfuloven thank you I must try that
Essentially it makes it buttermilk by adding the vinegar.
Thanks
Where did u purchase the flour mat ?
Hi, I got it on Amazon. Search for silicone pastry mat with measurements. Choose a size according to your work space.
Do you make Sada roti?
I don't ever seem to get it right.
Hi, yes.
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp yeast (makes a soft roti 😉)
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
1 tbsp sugar (optional)
1 1/2 cups warm water (or as needed)
Mix dry dry ingredients together. Add water gradually until the dough comes together. Knead 2 minutes until a smooth, soft-medium dough forms.
Cover and let rest for 15-30 minutes.
You’re ready to roll and cook the roti. 😉
Can you sub with oat flour?
You can try it, add liquid gradually until a soft dough forms. Let me know how it turns out.
