That's not half bad at all, definitely better than how I thought older kits were. I remember my original Gundam Wing kits sucking horribly but most likely it's because I was a dumb kid.
WalcomS7 Well, you're still not wrong. The old 1/144 and some of the 1/100 Wing kits are bad. Proportions are wonky, details are lacking, and the plastic quality was nothing like it is now.
Continue this series Channel 2S. It's great that you reviewing a kit that some of the fan hate and dive in yourself building that kit and venture the faulty of the kit with giving some advice at the same time. Great video.
I like this series, giving kits a bad rep have a second chance, with more exposure this could really help them rise back to greatness. I personally am still going for the HG myself, but it is nice to know that the MG isn't that bad for 1/100 collectors.
Probably said already but I'd really like to see a continuation of this series, with all the kits mentioned and shown in this video I'd also really like to see some other famed bad kits, like some bad RG's,HG's,and MG's
on mine alot of the part are loose and it cant stand properly, it looks cool but damn it needs a ver.ka also you are one of the few people who are defending this kit you're awesome
I built this kit its pretty solid. One thing i did do was sand the gloss off. Made the color little more tolerant. Will definitely repaint it later. Great review!
now this is what ive been waiting to see thank you 2S old kits looked at in a realistic light keep up these reviews they are a welcome watch and opion in this modern age
Great work! Love the series idea and name. Very classy and professional intro and video pacing. It shows that you put a lot of thought into the production of this. Can't wait for the next installment!
Man, I was so excited to check through the channel when this video randomly came up in my recs. Was gonna binge this series until I realized it got cut short ;-;
Love the new series focus. Excellent job as always but this is really something no one else is doing right now. Really fun. Also I believe the shield has a big dry transfer that can get easily damaged if you try to rest it on the "base"
Thanks for creating this series! This kinda shone some light for me on whether I should get this kit or not. I love the Re-GZ, just not much the color scheme. And yeah, the issues are not that bad if you have the skills to make it better. I can just tighten up the joints in some simple convenient ways, if you wanna know how. Though I might just settle for the HGUC since I'm low on space.
Good idea for a series man. I haven't gotten into building MG's yet but so many seem to get a bad rap and I wonder how unbiased they are when reviewing
nice job! I don't care what most ppl say, I still love the 3 1 and the thumb, classic hands. the GP01 FB and GP02 also have the same issues with the shield weight. def the 02.
I like the idea that is being used here and would love to see the Victory 1 get a second chance as well, since everyone says it's a bad MG along with the Victory 2. I do believe these kits are good and need to be seen for the engineering that was put into them.
I gotta say, your friend was absolutely right!! Second Opinion is a great fucking idea!! The potential for this is HUGE. Though one complaint I do have is try to fix your camera skills because I feel like the shots here are fairly sloppy. Other than that, you did a pretty good job!
+Wise Traveler like I said in the description, there was a lot of experimentation in this video. I tried to go for more fluid, organic looking shots instead of static tripod shots like I usually use, but I agree that the end result was shakier than I had hoped. There certainly are ways to stabilize a handheld shot, but that requires mounting a bunch of crap on the camera that makes it really big and cumbersome. There's already barely enough room in my light tent to fit a kit and a camera, so making the camera take up more space isn't a great idea. I'll keep looking into it anyways, though!
Great idea for the series and I see you've got good candidate kits already. MG Exia has pretty terrible legs, ankles, and feet, which is a huge shame considering how great the rest of the model is.
I went back and tried one of the GLUE REQUIRED super old Zaku(under water type) as a challenge build and it drove me nuts. It had parts to make it a Zaku 2 or water type.
I like how you think that reviewing this kit on its own timeline is how people should do when trying to comment on an old kit. It's like reviewing a beeper in 2017.
I've got a question, if you've got a metric ton of un-used polycaps, could you simply substitute the shoulder polycaps for ones that have more grip to them? I know Bandai tends to re-use polycaps for multiple kits.
+Give Me Your Milk they're just as grippy as normal polycaps, it's just that the part of the cap that holds the arm's weight is too small to provide enough friction.
The HGUC version is an overall better kit with its solid joints and Action Base compatibility, but as I'm a sucker for older kits, I'll give this one a chance.
Im really digging the new segment but I have to respectfully disagree with you about the hands being able to hold the rifle. I've fought with this kit numerous times and best i can say is it looks limp wristed at best. Also my kit was missing the beam effect parts when I got it, so i didn't get the best part of it.
ok so I have a different mindset. As a customers of today, what should we care about how the product compares to its era? I believe you should review kits for what they are today because, ultimately, it is THE ONLY thing that matters
+fred dekl I kept comparing it to other kits from it's own era because some people act like this kit was some kind of abomination worse than any other Gundam model ever, which is ridiculous and my goal was mostly to point this out. As I believe I said in the video, what it is today is a simple, nice-looking statue with some bad seam lines.
I love zeta design,RE GZ is not exeption either but thr problem is you need to attach and detach its back pack to transform and its not like other zeta
Gundam Community in general: Yea building is great, but if one person says a build is bad, we follow them like sheep and tell others without giving them a fair shot
Miguel101 its great isnt it ^^ and the Other ones Are just as good. Gonna build my Blitz next wednesday and im hyped as Ive build the strike rouge Which it Shares a frame with and its one of my favourite kits
Great series concept, but I feel like you're going to suffer because of it. Some of them fully deserve their reputation. Do you have a list of kits you're looking at doing down the road?
+Tsorovan Zero oh, it's not like I'm going to defend the garbage ones. If a kit legit sucks, I'll explain why it sucks and why you probably shouldn't get one. As for future kits I've got my eye on, I'm thinking of doing either the MG Unicorn or RG Sinanju next to coincide with the release of the RG Unicorn.
I have plenty of MG's older than the RE-GZ that are FAR SUPERIOR in my opinion. The Dom/Rick Dom and the GP01/FB and GP02a, all of the RX-79 based kits and the Nu (albeit ugly as sin IMHO), Sazabi, and gouf custom are all much better kits and are a good deal older.
Geez, Gunpla builders born in the mid to late 90s suck. This was the best engineering for the time. I built this kit in '02 and the seam lines weren't that bad. Maybe clean up some nub marks so the parts would fit better. Bandai has improved but to bash kits before you may have got into Gundam is highly dubious. You would probably cry if you had to build the MG GP-01 FB or Zeta 1.0.
To be honest, I use to love building these early Master Grades as a kid. My favorites were the Ground Gundam, GM, and the Kampfer.
+WalcomS7 your wing kits were High Grades, not Master Grades. There's quite a quality difference between them.
WalcomS7 hi walcom I didn't know you were into Gundam this much but I knew you had internist in it
I build Gunpla a lot, it's what got me into Nerf, though I'm still a novice builder.
A lot of the original Gundam Wing kits aren't even High Grades, they're just No Grade.
Continue this series Channel 2S. It's great that you reviewing a kit that some of the fan hate and dive in yourself building that kit and venture the faulty of the kit with giving some advice at the same time. Great video.
I love this new thing you got goin' on!
"Second Opinion", NOICE! I'm looking forward for more, dude!
+Ven Erick Santos thanks man!
lies........LIES!!!! OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!! ;)
jabman025 i can feel the salt xd
After watch your video it's.....
Understandable
i don't think that many people saw the release date on that video.
I like this series, giving kits a bad rep have a second chance, with more exposure this could really help them rise back to greatness.
I personally am still going for the HG myself, but it is nice to know that the MG isn't that bad for 1/100 collectors.
Keep this series up. It´s a much needed refreshing new take on Gunpla review scenery.
Probably said already but I'd really like to see a continuation of this series, with all the kits mentioned and shown in this video
I'd also really like to see some other famed bad kits, like some bad RG's,HG's,and MG's
2S, I like this series, and the manor in which you went about this video. Can't wait to see the next second opinion.
on mine alot of the part are loose and it cant stand properly, it looks cool but damn it needs a ver.ka also you are one of the few people who are defending this kit you're awesome
The Zeta doesn't even have a Ver. Ka
Excelent idea for a video series, having more reviews like this would be a breath of fresh air. Subbed
Plz more videos in this series
I built this kit its pretty solid. One thing i did do was sand the gloss off. Made the color little more tolerant. Will definitely repaint it later. Great review!
now this is what ive been waiting to see
thank you 2S
old kits looked at in a realistic light
keep up these reviews they are a welcome watch and opion in this modern age
Man this is such an interesting concept for a series hope you can continue it, can't wait to see more
Great work! Love the series idea and name. Very classy and professional intro and video pacing. It shows that you put a lot of thought into the production of this. Can't wait for the next installment!
Man that production value is so good now!
Man, I was so excited to check through the channel when this video randomly came up in my recs. Was gonna binge this series until I realized it got cut short ;-;
Good work. I look forward to this new series!
Love the new series focus. Excellent job as always but this is really something no one else is doing right now. Really fun. Also I believe the shield has a big dry transfer that can get easily damaged if you try to rest it on the "base"
+Jack Halsey a quick spray of topcoat could fix that decal pretty easily.
Love this new series idea, its super unique and also helpful!
This new series sounds great!
" *After all, only you can tell what you like and don't like* " C:
Yes exactly.
Good idea for a series man. I haven't gotten into building MG's yet but so many seem to get a bad rap and I wonder how unbiased they are when reviewing
nice job!
I don't care what most ppl say, I still love the 3 1 and the thumb, classic hands.
the GP01 FB and GP02 also have the same issues with the shield weight. def the 02.
Great review. I like this new style of gunpla review.
I like the idea that is being used here and would love to see the Victory 1 get a second chance as well, since everyone says it's a bad MG along with the Victory 2. I do believe these kits are good and need to be seen for the engineering that was put into them.
I really like the idea of this series. Keep it up!
Looking for more of these reviews. Awesome idea
Nice intro ^^ couldnt agree more.
Steffey hi steffey are you still salty from shokys Stream?
Billy bob joe?
Steffey didn't you get banned near the end of it
Billy bob joe dont worry I had a solution ;)
isurugi camice omg
very well done. I look forward to more videos like this.
Recommendation: MG GP03 Stamen
Like the intro for this, Kudos man ;)
I gotta say, your friend was absolutely right!! Second Opinion is a great fucking idea!! The potential for this is HUGE.
Though one complaint I do have is try to fix your camera skills because I feel like the shots here are fairly sloppy. Other than that, you did a pretty good job!

There's already barely enough room in my light tent to fit a kit and a camera, so making the camera take up more space isn't a great idea. I'll keep looking into it anyways, though!
Hope you find that eureka!! moment in the future. Until then, I'll be lending my support as a fan no problemooo
Great idea for the series and I see you've got good candidate kits already. MG Exia has pretty terrible legs, ankles, and feet, which is a huge shame considering how great the rest of the model is.
Perfect idea of series!!!!
What a nice 1 episode series
Do an episode of Second Opinion on the HGUC Tristan
Please
I remember getting this when it first came out and thinking how much better it was than my Char’s Gelgoog master grade.
Kinda miss this series ngl, hope we get more one day even though it might be unlikely
Hey, do you think you'd be willing to continue this series idea? I'd love to see the RG Zeta, RG Zaku, or the HG Kyrios!
I went back and tried one of the GLUE REQUIRED super old Zaku(under water type) as a challenge build and it drove me nuts. It had parts to make it a Zaku 2 or water type.
I’m actually building this kit now
All this time and still no episode 2?
You could do the GP02 but it basically has the same joint issues. I like this kit though, I might get one and paint it.
One day I'll get this kit. I eventually want to make a collection or evolution of mobile suits piloted by Amuro.
nice review man
But i like the sinanju. Maybe even love it
Agreed on rg sinanju!
0:25 Mecha Gaikotsu.. hahahahahhahahahahhahaha
The v fin bent so far back when you slid it into the wings i gasped so hard
+Buggle Magnum and that's why old MGs came with rubberized v fins.
Nice edits man
I like how you think that reviewing this kit on its own timeline is how people should do when trying to comment on an old kit. It's like reviewing a beeper in 2017.
Cool idea. If unwieldy shield is an issue, just try the gp02a. lmao
Revisit this kit a few years later and you will find your MG EZ-8 is still rock solid but this kit has parts breaking off left and right.
I see. Is there no way to fix that?
+Give Me Your Milk not that I know of.
2S, do you have any builds or reviews in plan??
cool for this "second Opinion"... sometimes "bad kit" still could be mend to be hmmm yeah good or average kit.
The HGUC version is an overall better kit with its solid joints and Action Base compatibility, but as I'm a sucker for older kits, I'll give this one a chance.
do more of these
i'd love to see an RG sinanju one
As far as a mobile suit I think this thing looks great... just needs a little tlc!
Im really digging the new segment but I have to respectfully disagree with you about the hands being able to hold the rifle. I've fought with this kit numerous times and best i can say is it looks limp wristed at best. Also my kit was missing the beam effect parts when I got it, so i didn't get the best part of it.
Please 2S MORE SEGMENTS or Videos like these.
ok so I have a different mindset. As a customers of today, what should we care about how the product compares to its era?
I believe you should review kits for what they are today because, ultimately, it is THE ONLY thing that matters

great job :)
Since the kit is mostly covered in bright color, I think it's better if you made this review in a dark background?
Is this the best Re-GZ kit there is?
Request: have a second opinion about the MG Gundam (one year war ver.)
Where did this series go
did you make a second opinion after this?
I love zeta design,RE GZ is not exeption either but thr problem is you need to attach and detach its back pack to transform and its not like other zeta
Gundam Community in general: Yea building is great, but if one person says a build is bad, we follow them like sheep and tell others without giving them a fair shot
This model is definitely one that will benefit from a 2.0
Can we get a Second Opinion on Second Opinion? Because uhhh, there's only been one of these videos in this supposed 'series'...
Tbh, it looks like a Re/100 and I'm a fan of the RE/100 line
Channel2S what second MG kit who'd you recommend except the MG GN sniper II ?
+Miguel101 Freedom Gundam 2.0!
Any of the newer seed mgs Like the strike rm or Blitz (aegis, buster, strike rouge ootori rm, Duel a.s)
Steffey i already have MG blitz it's my first MG
Miguel101 its great isnt it ^^ and the Other ones Are just as good. Gonna build my Blitz next wednesday and im hyped as Ive build the strike rouge Which it Shares a frame with and its one of my favourite kits
Very Nice
Great series concept, but I feel like you're going to suffer because of it. Some of them fully deserve their reputation. Do you have a list of kits you're looking at doing down the road?

Channel 2S: Gunpla News and Reviews if you can handle loose ankles and meh posing you will be in for a treat ^^
Gm sniper 2 fo lyfe
Everbody have their own opinions.. the re-gz is a good kit for 2001.. make a review on that year..and you will be talking how great it is..
Its spelled re-gz
@@darkusblader corrected..thnks
are the images that you've shown are considered terrible by the builders?
+Stereo 91 yes
5:28 on repeat pls.
Re-GZ Custom
Yo, what happened to the series??
Will you be bringing this back
Yes
You should go over the Gundam Stamen in this line
+Wireless_Phantom added to the list!
RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom pretty please
Part 2 plz
Do a second opinion on hg alex gundam
it's been a year now where's the second video lmao
And do you know that Dragon momoko is making a astray out frame D
+Miguel101 yes! Although I do prefer the Testament's design over the Out Frame.
actually been looking for one of these. anyone know were I could find one
USAGundamStore has them.
now the hizack lol
I have plenty of MG's older than the RE-GZ that are FAR SUPERIOR in my opinion. The Dom/Rick Dom and the GP01/FB and GP02a, all of the RX-79 based kits and the Nu (albeit ugly as sin IMHO), Sazabi, and gouf custom are all much better kits and are a good deal older.
I thought it's bad kit. It's good tho for old kit.
lightning gundam is just a better & cool RE GZ with gundam theme on it
Give the mg re-gz another chance, 2.0 maybe
Geez, Gunpla builders born in the mid to late 90s suck. This was the best engineering for the time. I built this kit in '02 and the seam lines weren't that bad. ARRGHH ... Over exposed .. hurts my EYEZ
